Another question: why bother to create a bounding box around the complete text for the Knife Project tool? Just put a plane above it, for vertical slices it doesn't even matter if it fits the height of the text as long as it's not smaller. Technically the width could be larger, too - depends on how exact you want the first and last slice to be the same width as the other slices...
Errrm, that was interesting! I thought you were going to use the bounding box that you created as a lattice, and deform that. Using a sphere as an empty? That's not at all intuitive for a beginner, but it did work really well. The end result was very good. Thank you.
Constructive criticism for audio, if i were you I would add an EQ to the your voice with a low shelf at around 500hz, it would reduce the boom in your voice, or just get a bit further away from the mic
Quick question right at the start: is there a specific reason you are using a Solidify modifier to give depth to the text instead of using the Extrude option of the text itself? Or is it just because it don't really matter how you do it?

Thanks. No, I use an empty but chose the sphere representation for the empty. There are many different styles for empties and one of them is sphere.

Yeah, I don't use text enough and sometimes it's hard to find all of the features in it. Just easier to add a solidify for me.
Quick, effective, useful.
First view sir
Awesome tutorial! Kudos! And with no add-ons, well kitops but that is a free one or paid if you want more benefits!
