What I adore about The Wolfman and the classic universal monster movies is that they have a timelessness to their films. One side it’s set in present day 30s/40s, another in 19th century Europe.
@rr7firefly 😆" IKR?.... It's a horror movie thing. Like how many idiots (ahem) ' victims ' continued going into Camp Crystal Lake well after the first mass slaughter happened? "
The Wolf in this scene is actually Lon Chaney's friend German Shepherd called Moose who was used in other Lon Chaney movies. There are photos of Lon and dog relaxing during the filming. Great story and acting by Lon Chaney.
@@WarriorForChrist424Not really. The movie is called The Wolf Man and the creature is on the poster. It's actually because historical werewolves WERE just wolf form, no humanoid hybrid. So Siodmak used that as the jumping off point for a more relatable creature, created by biting rather than by hereditary curse.
@@skepticalbadger yea but I’m sure they wanted you to think it was an actual wolf at first, then tell you that it was actually a werewolf, and how the curse goes on.
@animefan2454 😄(lol) " I'm glad that Someone else notice that. We're also not supposed to notice that Larry's outfit had changed into a dark janitor's outfit after his transformations..... Talk about ' dressed to kill ' . "
I've watched this movie three years ago in October/Halloween in the movie theater with watching the Invisible Man......The Wolf Man is one of my favorite Black and White Monsters movies
I am planning to becoming a writer very soon......my next book I'll be writing a monsters book the Wolf Man is one of my characters who I call Thomas Luna
In the original script the transformations were left ambiguous, so it wasn't clear whether Larry turned into a werewolf or imagined he did. It's possible that Larry was gradually becoming more wolfish.

Fun fact - the "wolf" who bites Larry is actually Lon Chaney Jr.'s pet German Shepherd "Moose"!
@michaeljung1662 😲 " YOU DON'T SAY! "
This is a classic. Love the FX for 1941. Bella Legosi & Lon Chaney Jr. are stupendous! Great movie.
Lugosi as the gypsy & Maria Ouspenskaya as the old woman.Great👍
People walking around at night in a forest during a heavy fog. Who does that?
I would why not being out at night is fun

Funny how the one guy just turns into a grey wolf but Talbot is all wolf man. 🐺 🌒
It depends on the werewolf
Because they wanted you to think it was a real wolf instead of a werewolf.

Can you do unfriended dark web please
This is a late question but anyone have their own theory on why belas wolf is an actual wolf wheres larry is an actual wolf/man hybrid?
In the original script the transformations were left ambiguous, so it wasn't clear whether Larry turned into a werewolf or imagined he did.

Is that implying that bela didnt turn into a wolf and was just a random wolf?@@michaelmcdonnell3905
I need Bela.
