It’s such a shame the repaired rear quarters don’t match the color of the rest of the bodywork. Such a marked difference.

Awesome video as always mate 🙌🙌 I bought a 2002 l322 V8 for the winter with the BMW V8, had a lot of faults as expected but it came with a private plate, and a long mot, I changed the final stage heater resistor because it had no heaters lol and need to sort the drivers window switch & it has an airbag light on 🙄 but they are great to drive except it gives me a bad neck because I'm constantly looking for a petrol station when I take it out lol , going to sell mine soon so can't wait to see what the next video brings 👍

A few Mates have owned these old Range rovers, absolute headaches and nightmares with them, but they do look cool.

Surprised it's so cheap on WBAC, but then again, getting insured on Land Rovers/Range Rovers at the moment is a lot of money. I wouldn't be surprised if the demand has gone down and the supply is high?
Also, just an observation, but at 13:29 it looks like you have a panel mismatch between the front and back doors. It looked the same outside too, so I thought perhaps it could be the case, rather than lighting?
Looks like the paint mismatch is just the rear door to me… probably a donor door…
I think that is a cracking buy at £3500… only I’ve retired from Range Rovers till I win the lottery I’d have snatched your hand off… sadly buying them is only the start of the story… running them turns into a Greek tragedy! 💰

Ben it’s the sensor in the coolant bottle I’ve just done mine buy the bottle with the sensor in only around 50 pounds 👍🏻👍🏻

it's had a nearside rear door replaced at some point.....possibly been in an accident of some sort.
Sorry to say it mate but by my eyes the colour match is not great to me. The rear quater and rear passenger door does not match front passenger door and front wing. The rear is a darker shade of silver. It still looks good though just a shame it was not a little closer. If u look at around 12 mins when getting tracking u cannot miss it. Keep up the great vids 👍

The colour match is a bit iffy, but enjoyed watching the journey. Its a lot of car for the money, give the headlights a buff and it'll look top

It looked perfect in some shots, silver is difficult like that, bet it's barely noticeable when it isn't on camera. Either way, nice car for £2k and some change🙂

I know a welder/painter in Bryn near 3 sisters who would do those rears painted for half that.
I’m sure he’s decent but I’m always worried about cheap jobs… had a few done by people able to do it for half the money and let’s just say it wasn’t great 👀😬

Rear quarter stands out a mile, probably not the best £1000 you have ever spent? Don't know if Range Rovers are that popular at the moment? I know it's the newer stuff which is being hit by huge insurance hike but it will have a knock on effect. I have put my L322 in mothballs, love it loads and don't want to sell. Shame yours doesn't have lpg, mine does more mpg than the diesels and I used to get a small rebate on tax. I think they look best in the Zambezi Silver in other colours they always look a bit stodgy to me?

The BMW diesel engined Range Rover I had on a 2006 plate was rubbish. Under powered, struggled towing and was unrefined compared to my 2003 V8 BMW petrol engined Range Rover.

Whats the RS Sticker, I've had 2 ex Police cars and neither had that, also they had clean MOT's unlike this RR
It’s the tuning company that tune the cars for the police and as a ex police cars usually have no previous mot history as they get mot’d in house so basically they never fail so there is never a record , people have been arrested in the past for clocking miles off ex police cars as there is no history to say it has more miles
My dad who was in the police for 30 years, admittedly a generation ago, advised me not to buy e police cars on account the police got rid of cars when they started to cost money. But i'm going back to the 70s when cars were much less reliable.

Quite a lot 🤣 last time I checked the V8 it was averaging 14.1 mpg. I’m sure the diesel is mid to late 20’s 👍🏼

Back in the 80s my parents had many ex police Rover SD1s. They didn’t last forever but fundamentally solid. And the police went to silver cos they couldn’t flog the white ones.

I bought two 3500 Rovers, one ex police and one privately owned. The ex police went like the clappers and never gave me a problem. The privately owned, low mileage car was total junk, probably because it was newer and had been built at the height of the BL 'troubles'.The zip in the headlining was always a talking point.
I think for a more honest review of the topdon show the un edited section of the video.
I have the same tool and no way does it work that fast! Especially the auto search section that can take an age to find the model.

I would ask for your money back from the bodyshop, as the rear door and quarter are a different shade to front door n wing. It should have been blown in properly

@@EVILGT the near side door and quarter panel have been painted and are different colour to rest of the near side. If you can't see that then I suggest you stop driving as your eyesight is impaired.

Which panels did you actually buy off eBay m8? looks like they have been repaired not replaced, nothing wrong with cutting out rot and letting in new metal, but charging you for new panels and not using them is not right. They need to blend paint too instead of edge to edge, but with that match, it probably would have looked crap anyway. £200 per panel is a rough general guide these days, depends how bad, so £400 all in to blend in and repair the rear arches would be around and about the price you should have had to pay.
Just come across your channel, have subscribed, if you are based in the London area, then I am probably way off on prices, and ignore the above, but if you are not, then, as said, you need to find another bodyshop.

I saw these panels get chopped out and the new ones welded in bud 👍🏼 the state the original ones were in it would have been harder to have the old ones looking the way they do now than replacing them 🤣👍🏼 it makes no sense as they didn’t paint the door either and looking back at the video the quarter matches the door so… very odd 🤷🏼♂️👍🏼
