I like how cool, calm and collected Vicki is when dealing with Laura. She has an air almost of condescension towards her, convinced that time is running out for her. David and Vicki sure have come a long way from the days when David was locking her in deserted rooms in the hopes that she would die there. I enjoy their relationship now because Vicki never talks down to him as adults often do to children. That's nice to see.
buddy51 ... Yes, David & Vicky's relationship have improved, although I think David's gonna be passed, because his mother .... something is about to happen to her, I think.
Mrs. Johnson is a nosy blabbermouth. She gets in everybody's business, then she tells everybody's business. Hate how this episode ended! All "Mrs. Blabbermouth's fault"!
Agree. He was a good man and had decent intentions. A force of for good. Curious to know how I can watch more of these classic DS episodes. Lemme know. Cheers!
Hulu starts at episode 210 where youtube ends. It is free to watch without paying for a subscription unless you want to there is hulu plus. Also, the Google play store has DS episodes, $39.00 for a season. I was able to get a refund if I watched all the episodes in the season within 3 days. Hopefully you can do the same thing but don't take any chances if $ is tight for u
He definitely would have fit in with the Barnabas years hanging out with Dr. Hoffman and Willie Loomis. They shouldn't have killed him off. Maybe just put him in the hospital for a while. How did they know what was going to work or not? They were in dire straights to save the show from certain cancellation at this point.
Again, I just love this story line. I love this subtle chess match between Dr. G and Laura with Vicki in on it and David too to a point with Josette pulling the strings. Nothing this cool and collected came from the Barnabas years.
Well dr Guthrie gave it a shot. But he should have never tipped Laura off that he was on to her. And that damned Mrs. Johnson. One minute she's telling all the business ON Laura, then the next minute she's telling all the business TO Laura. Even nosy busybodies ought to have some kind of loyalty! 😃
How could Dr. G not recognize that what was happening to him also happened to Liz and to Dr. G before when Laura was interrupted. Most be my eyes? I just need coffee? What is wrong with him to be so dim. But, I will miss him. He brought a sense of belief to things that the others fought.
You know, I think Guthrie could have been Vicky's next suitor if he hadn't..... They seemed to have a liking for each other...lots of touching in this episode. Maybe I'm wishful thinking.
I wonder why Josette didn't protect Dr. Guthrie this time? Unless he had another acting job to go to. I would have liked to had seen him get through getting rid of Laura.
The Phoenix is cutting her enemies down like rotten bananas. Diana got to play the most powerful female character ever in the series. Angelique maybe came close.
scdevon Not sure that I quite agree that Laura Collins was more powerful than Angelique. Laura was, however, by far the more compelling character. Angelique had love as her motivation--twisted love, but very real. Laura is so much colder, icier, willing to sacrifice her own child to maintain her life.

yeah... right Mrs J, you don't gossip at ALL !!!!!!!!! LOL!
countmeworthy How ironic, if mrs Johnson wasn't such a gossip Dr Guthrie would have lived.

One of the saddest, most tragic episodes. I really liked Guthrie. He was a good man. Great acting all around.
Dr Guthrie is one of my favorite too, wish the writers would have created stories with Dr Guthrie as a ghost

Mrs. Johnson. ......you're fired.
The old bitch!

I've officially joined The Josette Collins Mutual Admiration Society. She's a Good Ghost of the highest order!
Dr Guthrie really should get some sunglasses next time he drives at night.
Sorry for his passing
Vicki can be a tough lil cookie!

In a way it serves him right. How stupid can a man be, to go and confront this woman?
And why did he have to go to the old house in a car? Why couldn't he have gone with Vicky and David and just walked there?
Julie Nielsen It wouldn't have been as dramatic then. lol
I would have taken David, the key, with me. Some doctors have no such common sense.
Poor Dr. he tried to fight the Phoenix
Am I the only one who likes Mrs. Johnson?
+janet lavergne She's a great actor. You will never forget her role!
Yes you are! She's a beast.
Josette must have a lot of difficulty working with these people, she has to show herself for so long and show them obvious stuff.....

What's Mrs Johnson doing snitching? The woman is thick.
I'd hate to see his Dr. bill.
