Welcome aboard, Dennis Patrick! That Maggie sure is a bean-spiller. Must come from all those years of gossiping with customers while she's slinging hash and pouring coffee at the diner.
and Sam Evans... a little gruffy now with that beard of his. hee hee... So DS is entering into a new story line now..... can't remember if Laura Murdoch re appears one last time.
countmeworthy yes if you finish watching the entire show's run.. you will see her again and IN COLOR ;) here is another spoiler for you.. think about Laura VS Angelique !!!! how cool is that ?? :)
I like the character of Joe Haskell. He tells it like it is, is obviously very loyal, and has a naturally intuitive ability about people. I could tell immediately that he did not take too well to Jason.
Terrific opening scene. I love that character.!! But I just looked this actress up on IMDB and this is the only episode she's in. So this was just a plot device as someone above has already mentioned. Too bad. I can think of lots of fun things and plots they could do with her, especially with Barnabas coming in soon.
So we don't get even a single episode without tragedy, an impending sense of sense of doom, or a fatal conflict? That's just about par for the course. BTW, sis anyone notice the sketch of young Burke, I missed it the first time around. It pays huge dividends to do a double binge watch of DS.
well that strange woman that went into Sam's house and the artist where did she appear from ? I've got a very bad feeling there's some type of Affiliated connection with Laura. Now there's a man in the bar that has not been there in many years, I have bad feelings about these new people in a small town this I know no one like strangers. And you're always very cautious, Joe and Sam's daughter two idiots sitting in the blue whale telling a total stranger where Elizabeth is in the hospital in Boston who knows who this person is it could be an evil entity under that hat !
Okay, so it finally occurred to me that Laura purposely selected the more shallow man, Roger, to father a man child. This would make it easier to exit and then reappear when David was ripe for the picking. Well, blow me down. I'm making some assumptions here, of course, but I think my main realization has some level of feasibility.
The writers scrambling to transition the plot... Ironically, the actress who played Laura eventually returns as Josette, I think... or some other snooty ancestor.
Barnabus kidnapped Katherine's character of Maggie Evans, then tried to convince her she was Josette. But the ghost of Barnabus' sister inadvertently foils the plan.
At the beginning of this episode I Was starting to think Sam was possessed by Vicky. All he kept saying was "I don't know....I just don't know...". BTW his hands healed up pretty quickly. One minute they were horribly burned; the next they were all healed. Did they miraculously clear up when Laura died? XD He has a lot of nerve going to Roger with his "request" too. For once I agree with Roger. Those paintings are paid for whether it be in blood money or not. Then there's his daughter Super Gossip Girl. By day waitress; by night the town loudmouth. You could see she was just bursting at the seams, wanting to blab everything she knew about Liz & more to the new guy. "Look out in the diner. She's a blab, she's a pain, she's Super Gossip!
That's because the last few episodes that featured Vickie, she did know something but since someone on DS has to not understand or don't know something, Sam is next in line.
Just when you think Roger has a heart he shows you what a prig he is … But NOW we get to hate Jason! Lovelady Powell?!! What a great name! What ever happened to her?
+atlantic 11561 Yeah right-'cos only women talk??? I have dated guys who rabbited on and on, and nag nag nag too. I once knew one who not only Ajaxed his kitchen when I spilt a few drops of coffee on the work top, but go on about it for over an hour. And what a gossip that idiot was too.
I just loved the actor playing the gallery owner! She played that role spot on!
Yeah, I've never heard of this character before and I hope we see her again!
Maggie is the welcoming committee for all the trouble
David Christman LOL!!!
Welcome aboard, Dennis Patrick!

she probably got tips from Mrs Johnson on how to spill the beans ! hee hee

countmeworthy Well, let's put it this way, we haven't seen the last of the phoenix character.
countmeworthy yes if you finish watching the entire show's run.. you will see her again and IN COLOR ;) here is another spoiler for you.. think about Laura VS Angelique !!!! how cool is that ?? :)
Maggie is a sweetie girl who runs her man pleaser

Maggie is the gossip of Collinsport!
@6:15, Fitzsimmons provides one of the funniest, most camp scene in the whole series. She's so snobby, she's camp.
I thought she does a SMASHING job as an ART SNOB! ;)

Those of you that keep giving thumbs down to these episodes, if you dislike this series so much why do you keep watching?

Enter Jason Maguire (the slimeball!)
Played deliciously by Dennis Patrick.

No, the art lady is just a plot device to move the Roger-Sam-Burke storyline forward.
🎥🎬🏰☠️🧛🏽♂️💀👻 Even with short hair, Maggie's a hottie!
It's no wonder these people are insane, always drinking coffee to relax.
Get drunk... drink coffee.

Joe dislikes Jason his reaction is interesting

I thought Kathryn Leigh Scott played Josette!
Barnabus kidnapped Katherine's character of Maggie Evans, then tried to convince her she was Josette. But the ghost of Barnabus' sister inadvertently foils the plan.
oh ok! Can't wait to see it!
sablevision Please no spoiler alerts. Some are enjoying the series for the first time.
