    10 things to practice to climb the ranks:
    1. Aim, aim and more aim
    2. Utility specifically for yourself
    3. Aim again because now you forgot how to aim because you were thinking about flashbangs
    4. Giving good coms
    5. More aim because your coms are distracting your aim.
    6. Giving less comms (you watched too many youtube videos and now think you're karrigan, stop telling people how to play)
    7. Been a while since you worked on aim, probably work on aim
    8. Learn a good util set for each map for when you have worlds shittest spawn and still wanna have impact
    9. Buy skins, skins = wins. How are you gonna agro peak top mid unless you can quickswitch to a knife after missing?
    10. Aim could use some work, distracted by knife animation, gotta put in more hours aiming.
    99% of what you need to learn will take care of itself through playing a lot. The only practice that will directly translate to more round wins is mechanical skill.

    What really helps is a tip from the OG astralis team: get pen and paper next to your keyboard. Make a note why you think you died on every death. Review that after the game, pick why you died the most and focus on that issue next game and don't forget to take notes.

    Thank you Dr. Lasagne. I just unsubscribed from NartOutHere and deleted my practice config. It is hour 27 of trying to "actually play the game" and I finally top fragged a game. I can see the fabric of reality that Zywoo uses to win clutches. Now I'll finally get to faceit level 7.

  • @Tritone_b5
    @Tritone_b5 5 месяцев назад

    Yes! Many players don't even know what the purpose of the util they throw. IMO the best way too learn util on a map is in demo reviews, determine how or where I died from what angle, then determine if I can use util to prevent that. You put it so succinctly at 2:10.

  • @nut315
    @nut315 5 месяцев назад

    Agreed! What I've been doing is focusing on 1 map at a time. I've been trying to get really good at Inferno, learning clear angles and better positioning. After that, I started learning CT nades for holding B (my main site), then after I was comfortable with those moved onto T nades for banana. Like you mentioned, I learned the nades that would help me not die in common spots. Then I learned a couple A retake nades and that's it.
    Learning util has also made clearing angles easier for me as the util I've been learning buys me an advantage but cannot cover up bad peeking lol

    The videos from Nart are really usefull. However, not every nade is relevant for you. I only use 1 or 2 nades per video and use them to find a solution or ‘play’ in my games. Expanding your playstyle with nades helped me a lot.

  • @nutty232
    @nutty232 5 месяцев назад

    The best thing to do is learn the main smokes. On mirage for example: Mid window, connector, at least 1 A smoke and, at least one B smoke. learning those will make your team play better and give you better chances to win rounds without having to put hours into util learning

    I will try to focus on the steps you are suggesting here, and maybe reach out to Pienix. But do you have any tips? Or maybe the community has any? Thanks!

    • @SO7O_
      @SO7O_ 5 месяцев назад

      @@ottpsfjpart of the solution, and it had alot to do with the way I sat in my chair. I sat often leaning forward and trying to focus a lot. But now I’m sitting all the way into to the desk and leaning back in the chair. So I feel much more relaxed. I could just be placebo but it feels much nicer.
      So the short answer, I got tired in the position I sat in that lead to loosing focus.

    Another very interesting point is, that if you carry the game through nades, you will reach an ELO where everyone has better aim/mechanics then you. I really liked nades when i stated, but also noticed that I am usually at the mid/bottom of the scoreboard even when my rank stayed pretty much the same.
    Sure, it's nice to contribute in another way, but nevertheless we're all hungry for the visible stats on the scoreboard ;)
