Thank you so much for this event. The final Men's jam was such a treat to watch. I feel like this concept brings more out of the riders than the classic 3 run style of contest - I felt it especially on Motos and Mitchies last runs.

At about 1hr Tony's ramp reminds me of the Skate Or Die ramp and the way the the one rider flies up off of the left side confirms it.

I don't think she wanted to do it, she's on hoilday in Japan with the Japanese skaters
She was invited but never responded. We'd love to see her there next year.

Jimmy wilkins is absolutely bonkers. Dude makes vert look so easy. Spoiler alert, vert is very very hard
I'm amazed how vert skaters get padded up, yet street skaters don't care. Never did figure this out. Also never figured out why mongo is bad.
In vert skating you learn to knee slide when you fall, so they all wear knee pads because that ramp would tear the skin right off without them. I used to street skate, and I can say wearing a helmet probably would have been smart lol... but you learn to fall a different way and I never really injured areas where people typically wear pads (minus one wrist fracture).

@@TheAnimeist I don't think its that they don't care... some vert skaters only wear kneepads and don't worry about elbow pads. Some of the guys riding the mega ramp go like full chest protector and hip pads. I think that pads aren't going to offer a street skater a lot of protection with the terrain they ride; most of my slams were the board to my shin or smashing my hip into the ground. Could I have worn shin guards and hip pads? I mean sure... but that does come at a cost of comfort and motion
@@sk8coaster42 I still don't get it. I wear elbow pads, wrist guards, knee pads, and helmet all the time if I'm at a park. On occasion I were tortoise pants. Am I pooling in sweat? Yes, but when I slam, it's way easier to laugh it off and get up. Neither of those things restrict movement. As for the weight, the helmet you can say is detrimental, but it just becomes part of the act. And grabbing the board is harder too with wrist pads. Anyway, thanks for the kind responses. Skate on my friend, and stay unbroken :)

yeah these young dudes are sick,and tech asf, but even in his late 40s, Bucky can clean these dudes up more times than not

Women's was a bit disappointing - primarily due to the fact that Sky/Sakura and some other riders weren't present. The men's was even better than last year - which was a high bar - vert skating at its best.

So many absolutely CRINGE moments watching this. The announcers repeatedly predicting "THEY'RE GONNA MAKE IT RIGHT HERE!" for the 18th time in a row just to see another bail bail bail... ugh so stupid, do you people even have ONE single person whose job it is to sit down and actually WATCH and listen to your broadcasts to give you feedback about how terrible some of it is??
