The only people that have reservations against video games are those that have never played them. A lot of research shows that there's no causal link b/w games and violence. If that were the case then S Korea should've been a very violent place since the most violent video games are often played there.
You can't defend video games, in best case you are losing hundreds of hours for a single game. You can easily learn a new language in 1000 hours of studying...
