Someone came to my door just after this routine started and I missed a couple of minutes but when I got back I had the strangest feeling that I had missed nothing..choreography consisting of postures and hand waving still going on... the feathers (i thought they were frills) on his gloves makes his hands look like black starfish.. hair flying up in his spins... I'm sure he is very good, I can tell by the screaming but it was a strange performance for me.
Yes, I agree. Evan's not transmitting the feeling of this music, and the program is unbalanced. It front loads the jumps and then relies in the spins and footwork to carry much of the second half. The component score is too high and it should have been nowhere near Plushenko's component score for the short program.
@@JordanT711 I think people also don't realize how difficult this program was. The entire program was high energy with no real slowdowns...it's difficult to keep one's energy up for that long. Also I see no issue with his movments not matching the music at all.
Someone sounds salty that Evan skated cleaner than Plushenko. Compare their LPs. Sure, he didn't have the quad, but I prefer clean jumps landed well. The podium placements for 1 and 2 were fair, but bronze should have been Weir.
Maybe if Plushenko didn't get so lazy with his trainings after Turin, he would be capable of defeating Lysacek who only had women's technical content 😉
Extremely boring performance and lack of charisma. Altough he's a likeable and technically correct guy..... And sadly evident that mostly his rhytmical moves doesn't fitting the music.
is he a winner ? this is a shame to the whole jury. selling medal. he is not standing next to Plushenko. Plushenko is the king of ice, the God of ice, and he is the winner. Plushenko has no equal to date
@@tjwash2 Plushenko competed at 4 Olympics, way longer career than Yuzu and it's very hard to stay relevant for almost 20 years in competitive Figure Skating. Respect for the athlete.
@@swimbod21 Check your facts mate. Plushenko won Gold medal at 2006 Olympics, and also won Gold in the team event at 2014, 3-time World Champion, 7-time European Champion.
His chorography is incredible, his jumps superior, and his likeability is obvious.
Evan is definitely one of the sexiest male figure skaters… so in love 😍 Flawless skating too!

Cheryl Hulting To be fair, Plushenko also did all his jumps within the first 40 seconds of his SP as well.
