Okay. I laughed so hard when you came out of the door carrying the stack and then died when you sat down with the stack. This video is like a personal call out as I carry a full-size backpack for THAT reason 😂 I am the MS Word Queen! I use color coding and tables like I need them to survive.
Why haven’t I thought about sending myself a message!? Game changer for times when my brain decides to have the best ideas and I have nowhere to write it down. I used notes but then I don’t check it for weeks. Messenger I use daily… I already have a lighter brain today haha
I'm using paper and digital tools as well. First I thought I had to make up my mind about what to do on each of them, but lately I've discovered I can combine the two. I'm using Evernote and Trello for business notes / to do's and the Reminders and Notes app for personal notes / lists / to do's. And I have several Word or Google Docs documents for the same reason you have. Begs the question why you would need to choose if you can have and use both, doesn't it :)
I very much rely on my Google calendar with notifications so that I end up where I'm supposed to be. It's my future log and how I complete my vertical calendar in my daily journal. I like having it with me when I book appointments or schedule things with friends and family.. I have sent myself emails but love the idea of using Facebook Messenger for the reasons you've stated. I use the Google platform for a lot of my writing of my books and for work purposes. I am much more of an analog person. I have six or seven journals and then other notebooks to write in or make notes on. Writing, coloring and making lists are all things that increase my joy and bring me peace.
Yes to Google calendar as a future log! and then I set my kind of bujo/planner every week in a notebook to have a more detailed overview of what's happening that week (plus routines, or journaling, or cleaning and meal plans, that I absolutely can't do digitally)
google calendar is basically my future log, but i have a discord server i set up for myself! i use it for any notes to self for stuff like my thesis, any of my other writing projects, or any general reference links i want to hang on to. i can access discord on my phone or computer, or on any computer through a web browser
Love this video! I’m always using ‘Microsoft To Do’ on my phone to jot down any tasks that pop into my head, then use the export function to copy/paste into my digital (GoodNotes) bullet journal
I mainly use my bujo for everything related to the lists and my iPhone calendar for everything related to appointments, otherwise I forget them. But I want to try Notion 🤔 I'm an undercover wizard! 😂
I don't do a lot of planning digitally, mostly because I never think to check them. It's so interesting to see your organizational process though. I send myself text messages throughout the day to remember things.
i make a note in my notes app, and i have a daily habit to check the notes app on my paper planer, so at least once a day i'll move it to paper, where things actually get dealt with :)
I've always had to use some kind of digital planning for the flexibility reason, though I mostly use Google apps (like docs, sheets, and gmail) for recording and sharing info. And my Google calendar is at the top of my front page, because my friends and family have caught on to the fact that if something isn't on my calendar WITH a reminder, then I won't show up anywhere, lol. But I've also started using Notion for some longer term planning or collecting resources, rather than trying to manage an additional planner.
I email myself - same reason I won’t miss it there. My other one would be using alarms not just for timed appointments but for things like ‘empty the dryer’ LOVE your sorting the brain dump on word though - great idea!
Oh my god, I have so many alarms set for EVERYTHING all the time ! Like ok, my pills app has alarms because so many medicines to think about, but I also make lists of what I need to take with me to ring 10-15 minutes before I need to go. Or "don't forget to take a shower" when I'm having very bad days. I program my alarm app on my phone, my calendar (google calendar also has tasks you can program for a specific time), plus the pill-app. I feel less alone/weird suddenly 😅
I would face God and walk backward into Hell before I gave up Notion. 🤣 It's all of these things you described in one for me, as I have it linked with my Google calendar and I have a spread specifically for brain dumping! My husband shares several lists with me so he can add to them as well (movies we want to see, places we want to go, books we're interested in sharing, etc). I also love to make it pretty, so it's a little bit useless on my phone because of all the photos, but I usually have my laptop with me. My brain dump page is completely plain, though, so I can just grab and go on there from my phone! I have a multi-journal analog system much like yours (and honestly very inspired by yours--especially my master/multi-year journal!), but I keep my to-do lists in Notion because it's less hassle if I have to move tasks around and often use it as a trial run to lay out information before I transfer it into a journal (like with the grimoire I'm working on). I like to think that paper is for record-keeping and digital is for tasks and rough drafts.
I use Proton Calendar, because an analog calendar has never worked for me. Though analog for me in general seems to not really work. The only thing I do is a brain dump, as in contrast to you my brain doesn't dump very well on a keyboard lol. Otherwise I use Logseq for bullet journaling. Logseq just seems to mesh really well with how my brain, doesn't work, but also those? Ridged structure is very big for me, but also something my brain gets stuck on. So Logseq's organic structure helps with that. In the framework of Bullet Journaling. And well the P.A.R.A method as well. The official bullet journal website sorta threw me into both Logseq and Second Brain and the larger Personal Knowledge Management community. I regret nothing, I'm just the odd duckling using it mainly for my life like BuJo instead of PKM /learning as intended 😂
I was SHOCKED when I didn't see Excel pop up on your list of digital supplements. Fully expected it after Word so the Messenger reveal had me stunlocked.
I tried Notion but I'm so particular about how these are set up that I never got to a point where I found a setup I was satisfied with. But I do use Excel in similar ways you use Word, and I use email the same way you use Messenger!
Question about sending notes to yourself through Messenger: do you delete them when they have been transfered to their place so you know which ones that are "processed" and which ones isnt? If that makes sense.
You go to the "write new message" space (both desktop and mobile should work) and then just start tying your own name 💪 When it comes up, you just click on it and start sending messages like you would to anyone else 😊💜
I've been enjoying these videos, @jashiicorrin, as she is a *perfectionist* in bullet journaling. Her designs, e.g. format, drawing and / or everything in between, is lovely, creative, beautiful and inspring. That said, she does work on my nerves, sometimes. 😒 Although the theme, ( LGBT PRIDE theme ), was beyond beautiful, I was HIGHLY angry that Jashii Corrin would support such a wutless, ungodly and immoral behavior. 😠😤😡 ( You ) have to do better, jashii corrin. Just saying.
A better job of supporting our LGBTQIA+ community members? Yeah I probably could 👏 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ journaling and productivity is for everyone, so I hope they feel included here 😄💜
And I'm over here HIGHLY angry that someone would publicly comment in such an ungodly way as to judge others for something that doesn't even affect them.
As a woman of God I am disappointed that people can be so callous when invoking the name of God to tell others how to live. Please remember that you are not without sin and should not cast stones. I hope the verses below give you something to contemplate the next time you feel the need to speak of God and his love for others. John 13:35-35 34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. Ephesians 4:32 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Luke 6:31 Do unto others as you would have them do unto you John 4:20 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. Peace be with you child, I hope that you find it in your heart to love as unconditionally as God loves you.
i do all of my planning digitally in goodnotes, but i tend to only use it on my ipad. i use discord like you use facebook messenger. i have a server that only i'm part of with channels for different categories of things and i post messages there all the time. it's with me on every device and i check it just regularly enough to not forget about it.

Haha 😂 glad you enjoyed todays B-roll

#TeamBoth 💪 I enjoy having the flexibility to do whatever I need to wherever I need to when it comes to my planning 😄

Yay for joy and peace 👏 I’m a big believer in developing a system that brings that 😄💜

I like Notion for reference lists and I use my notes app quite a bit. Aww, cute pic of younger you!
I have been emailing myself stuff I want to remember for years! Kind of like your fb messenger tip- just less distraction!
Nice 💪 my email needs an overhaul 😝 it’s a bit of a mess right now
Love this video! I’m always using ‘Microsoft To Do’ on my phone to jot down any tasks that pop into my head, then use the export function to copy/paste into my digital (GoodNotes) bullet journal
Oh that's a cool trick! 😄💜
I use Google calendar for on the go and email myself important reminders!
I mainly use my bujo for everything related to the lists and my iPhone calendar for everything related to appointments, otherwise I forget them. But I want to try Notion 🤔
I'm an undercover wizard! 😂

Nice, so like the messenger strategy but texting 💪 seems like others do that too 😄💜
i make a note in my notes app, and i have a daily habit to check the notes app on my paper planer, so at least once a day i'll move it to paper, where things actually get dealt with :)
Good system 💪

Nice 💪 I was more into the Google space before I started bullet journaling, but as we used MS for work I transitioned to that 😄💜
So nice to have you back. Glad you are feeling better. Good luck with your planning.
Today was one of the first days that I woke up and felt more well than sick 💪 certainly getting there!
I'm an undercover wizard! 😂😊
Aww yiss! 🥳💜
I email myself - same reason I won’t miss it there. My other one would be using alarms not just for timed appointments but for things like ‘empty the dryer’ LOVE your sorting the brain dump on word though - great idea!
Oh same! “Hey Siri, could you please set a timer for 30 minutes?” is a common phrase in my house 😝

Haha, it should have at least gotten an honourable mention, along with OneNote 😝
I tried Notion but I'm so particular about how these are set up that I never got to a point where I found a setup I was satisfied with.
But I do use Excel in similar ways you use Word, and I use email the same way you use Messenger!
I love Excel 👏 it certainly would have been on this list if I was still a teacher, but nowadays I mainly only use it for finance tracking

Totally makes sense! I don’t, but that’s a great idea 👏
I totally felt you when you said our writing can't keep up with our brains. Question, how do you message yourself in FB Messenger? TY, Mercy🥀
You go to the "write new message" space (both desktop and mobile should work) and then just start tying your own name 💪 When it comes up, you just click on it and start sending messages like you would to anyone else 😊💜
WELL THEN, MY BAD FOR ASKING, I SHOULD'VE TRIED. 🤦♀️ THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING. 🥰
@@MercyCuenca All good! It's not an immediately obvious feature, so I can understand the ??how does one even?? of it all 😝
Try onenote...
We also use OneNote for our recipe database in particular 😊 it’s just not what I would consider a core part of my system
This is what I was going to suggest! It’s basically my work bujo
I would totally forget to check my phone for anything. But I do send interesting links and such to myself via WhatsApp...
❤️👍🏻
😄💜
I send an SMS to myself alot when I don't have my bullet journal with me.
Nice 💪 seems others do they same too 😄💜

I really love the idea of that! 💜
So, I just learned from this video that I'm an undercover wizard... 😲🥷🧙♀
Omg, congrats on your wizard status! 💪 On to it 👏💜😄
