The improvement from last year is really great and 97% is such an impressive score, thanks for posting both your rejected and accepted ones. I'm applying next year so seeing things like this is super helpful. Congrats for getting in!
your improvement is insane :0 congratulations on getting accepted! i applied for the first time and got rejected but this honestly gave me lots of hope and motivation to do better for my second try. thank you for sharing both your rejected and accepted portfolios!
very fancy seeing you here, i love your works!! and what a coincidence, ive been thinking of applying to sheridan once I graduate but im just so scared of the portfolio process aahh 😭 goodluck to you!! sending all my love and support 💕💕💕
Incredible portfolio!!🙌 I was accepted into Sheridan's Music Scoring program, and my program coordinator mentioned that we would be collaborating with the animation students, so excited!!
I'm going to try to get into Sheridan animation when I graduate from Mohawk's 3D Animation program next year! Thank you so much for this video it's super helpful and definitely helps me stay positive and motivated for my portfolio :] Good luck to you!!
Ohh I remember watching your last portfolio application months ago and was rooting for you for 2021 application season and just got this video in my recommended. Congrats, your improvement is incredible and your work is fantastic
congrats! I'm looking at a bunch of other animation portfolios, and your storyboard really reminds me of DriftingNova's from 2020, surprised they used the same character twice in a row!
Ahh your work is so inspiring! I’m hoping to try and transfer to Sheridan from an American university where I’m an animation major, do you know anything about their transfer program? Thanks for sharing your portfolio!!
Was there anything else you needed to submit besides the portfolio? like do you need to show transcripts from high school/have certain classes? the website is confusing for me. i’m from the U.S.
Excuse me, when are the characters that are given every year and topics like the storyboard subject available to us? September is the time to apply , will the topics come later ?? How do we work if we do not know them?
The requirements are pretty much the same every year . Look at videos on the previous years portfolios just to see how similar they actually are. Also requirements are given to those who apply around November
congratulations. :) your artworks are really great. Can you please give me a piece of information? Is there an age limit for applying to this program??
Thanks! I’m not too sure, in the requirements it says nothing about age. Just that you need to have your high school diploma. I would suggest contacting Sheridan through their website for more information .
Hello . I have a question in the portfolio does not specify what the paper size is, I mean A4, A3 what paper size the want ?? I do not know for the character design and the layout of the paper size is enough… can you help me ?? I mean I didn’t say what what size paper they request… so one of them my art is the screen size other one be larger than the screen size so I don’t know if I’m doing right or not… I love you grateful if you answers in my question 🙏🏻
I directly applied and got rejected the first time. That video is posted on my RUclips aswell. Then this is my second time applying with just practice n no help from other sources
I’ve heard it’s pretty expensive to be honest. In my opinion there are definitely cheaper alternatives in getting that extra help with building your portfolio (eg. Tutors) . But this really depends on your skill level and dedication to improving. The reason why I chose not to take that route is because I believed if I just practiced enough I could succeed. Although I’m sure they give great guidance if u were to do these workshops and pay $$ it’s not like you’re %100 guaranteed a spot in sheridans program. No shade towards these extra classes though, just my personal opinion :)
@@TAFSSTUDIO thanks man! I’m far off. I’ll look into other places for now. I’m not the best at teaching myself so extra classes help! Thank you so much for the reply and guidance. Have a great day and way to bounce back man
I feel awkward asking this question but I'm really not good at drawing but my portfolio consist of few 3d animation reels and assets . Is my portfolio eligible to apply. Thanks in advance! (Computer Animation 1yr)
Yes you have to make a portfolio that shows your drawing skills. I wouldn’t consider it to be necessarily a “master” level , but it will definitely require dedication and hard work 👍🏾
@@kartikproduction13 Oh , I’m not too sure. But you can find the answer on Sheridans website and look at the requirements for both of the portfolios. It should give you an example of the previous years portfolio
For things like figure drawing I learned from videos by @Proko and for Animation I used @AlanBeckerTutorials video on the 12 principles of Animation (both RUclipsrs) . Other than that I learned by watching other portfolio videos aswell. Glad to help :)
@@TAFSSTUDIO Thanks so much for the advice! I checked out Alan Becker’s tutorial and it’s already taught me new stuff! Opening up toonboom rn. Thanks SO much for the advice :)

Ahh your work is so inspiring! I’m hoping to try and transfer to Sheridan from an American university where I’m an animation major, do you know anything about their transfer program? Thanks for sharing your portfolio!!
No disrespect but how’d you get 97%? Seeing some artists twice as good as you get less( still good marks) but less still.
I hope I can get in next year got a 73 this time
Congratulations !! I am going to apply to the same programme as well, where can you get the character model sheet?
I also wanna ask the same thing!

what score did you get on the first try?

Do you need to take a college-level english course to apply to Sheridan?

Hey do you have any resources to learn perspective drawings?
Hi, just wanted to ask did you directly apply for Sheridan after high school or you attended something in between??
I directly applied and got rejected the first time. That video is posted on my RUclips aswell. Then this is my second time applying with just practice n no help from other sources
The first pose looks like one of the images from the proko free poses pack, doesn't it?
I’ve never used figure references from the proko pack, but I definitely used his videos on figure drawing for guidance.
Have you heard of the animation Portfolio Workshop? What do you think about it

sorry i wanna apply for 2022 when can i see our requirements??? or i must draw the same things as 2021??
In order to see the requirements you must apply to the program, you will then be given the requirements sometime around October/November
So it’s OK we draw from photographs ? For figures?
It was only because of quarantine , not sure if it’s gonna be like that in the future
I feel awkward asking this question but I'm really not good at drawing but my portfolio consist of few 3d animation reels and assets . Is my portfolio eligible to apply. Thanks in advance! (Computer Animation 1yr)
Although 3d animation is a good skill to have. The program and the portfolio stress good drawing skills.
is this the computer animation program?
I want to apply for bachelor do I have to make same portfolio as master students, plzz reply 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼.
