It's a good machine. I've got mine for 199,00 GBP with celeron n4500 8GB Ram 128GB eMMC and non touchscreen display, I really like that is a fanless machine.
No worries. Yes, like the video here is a 3 series (entry level) 15 inch model (hence 315). Acer then have the 5 series that's more mid range and then their premium 7 series.
Hi, welcome along - thanks for the sub! Which mode of the 311 are you looking at? Regular non-convertible e.g. not the 'Spin' version? They have actually just released a new regular clamshell 311 with the Intel N100 processor. If you see my community posts from this week you'll see one about it. I almost had one to show on the channel already, but see my very latest community post and that situation will explain why I don't right now 😔
@@suryajithsurya5260 Hi, greetings to India! You can see my review of the ASUS CX1500 here - ruclips.net/video/b8_-EcMwjVM/видео.html As always you'll have to compare the exact spec of the 2 models in the ranges you're comparing and consider their prices as well as your personal preferences. You'll see I was surprised about some things with the CX1500 in my video.
Hi, not an odd question at all. No backlit keyboard on this range I'm afraid. What's your current model? You might like my Chromebooks with Backlit Keyboards Playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLNSLoCmFMc8rW8u50RD4fDlVMVVLDnq0J
Hi, I'm not aware of any Chromebooks with Display Port (doesn't mean they don't exist of course). HDMI is more common but not everywhere. I show you the ports on this model in the 02:35 Ports and connectivity section - not sure if you saw(?) and then in the 05:31 Use with Plugable dock and extended monitors section, you see how I use display out over USB C. You could look for a dock or hub that has Display Port connections on it, my hub has 2 x HDMI and 1 x DP connections for example - ruclips.net/video/PMQnSA7eHXw/видео.html Hope this all helps, let me know 👍
For the right price if it meets you needs it you like the size and design features, definitely. Are you looking at a version with 8GB RAM and the Pentium Silver N6000? Touch screen?
I'm looking at a version with ChromeOS Intel® Celeron® N4500 processor Dual-core 1.10 GHz 39.6 cm (15.6") Full HD (1920 x 1080) 16:9 4 GB, LPDDR4X 64 GB Flash Memory Intel® UHD Graphics shared memory
@CaptainFresh-g4e I'd compare what you can find with 8GB RAM if you can (and optionally the Pentium Silver N6000) and decide which price/value you're happier with. If it's just for light browsing with one user then your spec should still be OK. You can see I had a Samsung Chromebook this year with the Celeron N4500 and 4GB RAM - ruclips.net/video/oyTm5MkN_DY/видео.html
Hi - as I explain in the video 01:27 and I detail all model options as mentioned in the video description. I expect you're seeing one of the variants below of this 315: * CB315-4H-P0FH | NX.AZ0AA.009 * CB315-4H-C6MH | NX.AZ0AA.003 Carefully check the specs of exactly which CB315-4H it is they're offering.
Thanks Stephen. Yes, I think as mentioned the 4H models are non-touch and the 4HT models are the touch screen versions. I've added the model you mention into the video's description too, I'm not sure if it's a Walmart exclusive - is that where you've seen it?
Pls put me through on the set up. I got one few days ago, but cant set it up. It keep saying "Network not available" when determining device configuration. I used the guest mode and there is internet connection as i can use the web. Ive tried to restart, powerwash reset, but its still bringing the same thing. Has anyone ever experienced this.... Kindly help me out
@@MergeDroid yes I've done that. A Hotspot of my phone and from another phone. Internet connection is going in guest mode, but its saying network not available in the real page of setting up the chromebook
@quadri6549 when you go into guest mode and have the connection, can you open the Settings, check 'About ChromeOS' (bottom left) and then check for updates to update ChromeOS. Out of interest let me know what version it's on, v121 is what it should be as the latest or update to.
If you have the original box check the side of it for the spec and/or find the model number on the bottom and look it up, but expect it's just a model variation without one unless it was working previously? Sorry, hope you're not too disappointed. Is it a recent purchase, something you can return easily if not happy with it?

Hi Dan, that is a very good price for the HP 15a if it's the same 'Chromebook Plus' spec I had on the channel: ruclips.net/video/DsbDyNz4JDo/видео.html If it is comparing the exact spec of the two models I have, it's probably down to how much you value the touch screen that this Acer has, as the HP is non-touch. Otherwise the HP has the newer faster processor (Core i3-N305), 2 extra years on the Acer on it's AUE date, a FHD rather than just HD webcam and of course the software perks that come with the Chromebook Plus update too (nothing I've been blown away by, but hopefully more to come).

Hey I went and got this one from Walmart, the base model version. Good machine but it doesn’t come equipped with location services, wanted to use Sportsbooks with my laptop. Any tips for a HP that’s similar that has location services? Appreciate you @mergedroid
Hi, I don't think you'll find any Chromebooks with a GPS chip like you'd find in your phone. However, with the services you mention, have you tested both through the Chrome browser and the Android app version? I'd test both and give the location permission to the app and also via the broswer if/when prompted. They'd usually use your IP address to determine your location. Hope this helps a bit or let me know if I've misunderstood.
