Omg, my husband bought a big tube of that powered peanut butter at BJs and I TOLD him, “let’s get a small one in the grocery store instead.” It’s been sitting on top of the fridge for MONTHS! He’s only used it like twice, and me and my daughter don’t like it. I’m about to start making him PB shakes for breakfast everyday now. 😂

I just moved last week and the joy I felt donating and selling literally everything! I donated all my pots and pan...I had enough for a family of 4 when its just me...now I only own a skillet and a saute pan🤣..still have bags in the car for more donations but I'll eventually get around to it!...I'm trying to own as little as possible...by the way, again, editing is top tier!!!

I love how you brought up the trauma response of stocking up, the desire to have a pantry/deep freezer, and just feeling like there's not a lot of food in the house. There definitely needs to be a balance between buying everything in bulk and having an empty kitchen. I'm still learning what groceries are crucial, what isn't, and what I SHOULD stock up on. It's hard being someone who grew up in poverty where I open cabinets and they would legitimately be empty.
Really liked this video! I loved how you touched on consumerism and sustainability, especially pointing out how donating isn't a fool-proof, guilt-free way to get rid of things and how consciously consuming/consuming less is a big step towards sustainability

(Paraphrasing) Marketing represents who you will be when you purchase certain products, and choosing to discard and or keep certain items that represents who you are is being true to yourself!!!! wow!!! That's powerful!! I was shopping with a friend who loves and carries LV purses and I purchased a really cute purse, wallet set and the Neverfull tote. I used them once and it's been over a year since the purchase. I've got some pondering to do!!

Spring cleaning been tearing my azz up, going through all this shat I have is about to give me a breakdown. Meanwhile, life is still lifing and I have to get rid of this extra stuff!
Regarding packed pantry and fridges, I can't do that cause I currently live alone and so many things expire or go bad before I use or finish it, and it hurts my souls throwing it away. It's like I see dollar bills going straight from the shelf into the trash.

Expiration dates & best by dates are different. Mostly that’s just when they guarantee it to taste as they intended. I have a degree in nutrition and found out that most of them are a marketing schemes to make sure u repurchase. Food waste is HORRENDOUS in America and I wish more people would actually pay attention to their food instead of the dates printed 😢

You gotta buy a composter so you can empty your old, expired, unwanted, or moldy food in it! I've been composting for almost 10 years so I know a few things😅. Plus, there are tons of varieties for homes, commercial spaces, apartments, etc.
