Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

What a truly wise man. I can understand why he lead his people. I smiled this whole amazing video. Thanks Sonny and team for sharing this.
And his command of English is exceptional. The man touched something in me.
Compare 70 or 80 year old African men with 70 or 80 year old American men. The west did introduce a lot of carbs into their diets but at least they’re eating more nutrient dense food like organ meat.
@@markzenith1441 Their staple food is corn I believe which the eat with meat and vegetables.
The secret here I think is they grow their own food and keep their animals. Nothing lased with chemicals we ingest here daily. And they move a lot.
@@disabledbabe paleo carbs and processed carbs that unnecessarily find their ways into American foods have different effects. Insulin definitely plays a role. If you don’t think they’re spiking their insulin much less than Americans, you don’t realize to the extent that carbs/sugar are forced into every food in the west. Also if you move as much as you eat carbs have less of an impact. If you don’t move very much carbs are going to wreck your body.

I am greatly appreciative that you are doing this African food tour. As an African American man I am learning things about my ancestors culture that I was never taught and was lost to my people. This gives me an inside look at things that I will never probably be able to experience in my lifetime. Thank you so much and I am highly grateful. Tell RUclips to stop demonetizing your videos.
100% agree with you. It's been a very educational series. You can see the happiness and satisfaction of everyone involved in the village and having a role to play. It's not about wealth or status, it was about living life to the fullest and being happy/content. Our modern day western values need a reset to some extent to focus more on family and community.
Hopefully you get a chance to visit the continent if you haven't gotten tht chance

I lived in Zimbabwe for a few years and I have to say the people are extraordinary. We ones we went to a village with our convoy ( I am a nurse that volunteered ) and as always at the end of the day we were offered a feast. I politely told the ladies that I truly appreciate their food but that I don’t eat meat. They immediately went to oldest man and complained that my husband is a bad hunter and can’t feed his family. Short time later the elder found my husband and bitched him out for his non existing hunting skills. Needless to say I didn’t intervene and enjoyed my hubby being told off.
