Thanks Dave. Excellent video. It makes me think I might be able to do this. The texture plates from Oregontrailsilver.com are amazing.
I show a range of different techniques and tools here. But you could simply buy a sheet of silver, draw a shape with a sharpie, drill and saw it out. it's easy to add texture with a cheap ball peen hammer. So grab a saw and give it a go. At worst you'll break a few blades (...but so do I !). Good luck. Dave

Yes, and yes. I have a video in progress to teach the half Persian 4 in 1. I can make it with one single move, but getting set up is very fiddly, so I am working out how to make that easier for people. JPL I have made a few of them, I have a HUGE one in my Etsy store. The main thing with a JPL is accuracy of the aspect ratio, as the links overlap. So, if you don’t get it right the entire chain and come apart. (I speak form bitter experience). So yes, ½ Persian coming soon. Dave.

Thanks. I knew I'd get asked that, I should have mentioned it. I use Adobe Illustrator. You can now pay a few pounds monthly and get access to all the Adobe suite like Illustrator and Photoshop. most of my life I've been an ICT / Multimedia lecturer. Hence my office like mission control. So for me its natural way to design. But admittedly not for everyone. Thanks for watching. Dave

i would take the time to learn how to sharpen drill bits as it takes a matter of seconds and saves you about £2.50 each time you sharpen it instead of replacing it
I usually find with these fine drills, they break before they ever get blunt. I buy them in boxes not because they get blunt, but because i snap them. very thin and very brittle. Dave
