That was the idea Heather, just to give people a few ideas to get creative. The oval cutter is so much more than just ovals. Thanks for watching. Dave

Dave thank you so much another great video.
Would you please do a video on just ring sizing would be so helpful.
Good point, i have made several videos on making rings, but many people don't know how to size and resize. So yes I think that would be a useful video. Watch this space. Dave
@@CelticDreamsCoUk thank you Dave! that would be great
Love the ideas you show on this video.

Wow! I'm impressed with the tools!
Pepe always make excellent tools, that's why I use them myself. Incidentally, they come with a a great instruction manual, full of tips and advice (... I wrote it). Dave
Absolutely amazing! Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it! Dave
I can see that that being very useful for creating bezel settings cutter and mandrel in one
Pepetools designed it for cutting Cabochon bezels, and It's certainly useful for doing that. even if not the exact size, it certainly gets you close and reduces cutting later. But I wanted to share some general tips on how to get your ideas onto the metal. Hope you got something useful from it. Thanks for watching. Dave.
Great Tips!!! Thank you Dave
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.Dave
I do hope you're signing your works of art! Always include a card including Who You Are! so others in the far future will be able to correct your pieces and know that you become a famous designer!
Not so much with copper, to I do have my own hallmark registered and all my silver and gold items have my hallmark applied. So yes in a hundred years you'd be able to pick up a bracelet and see that I made it and when. Dave
And please explain, deniece, what issues in the shown pieces will require future idiots to perform corrections? Perhaps you are mirror gazing when you made that ego centric comment!!
GREAT video again Dave, can you tell me who your UK supplier is please? Thanks x
I presume you mean the dic cutter. AT present I think the only UK supplier is Betts Metals. See link below, failing that contact pepe. Dave

Love the video. You have inspired me to start repairing jewelry (mostly silver) do you have any tips on getting rid of a dent on the side of a silver ring? I don't want to sand it but I don't if I can solder it? It not massive but it's definitely noticeable. Thanks
Depends what you mean by a "Dent". if its a sharp dent in a solid ring, then the only options are to sand and polish it, or to fill the dent with solder. If its more of a depressed dent like a car, then consider if it can be pushed out from the back. I use a small piece of wooden dowel to knock out dents on lockets and hollow items. Hope this helps, if not email me some pics and i can be more specific. Dave mail@celticdreams.co.uk
Great ideas, how do you go about making an oval bezel with a domed oval base instead of a flat base? I want to make a 10 x 8 short oval tube with a domed oval base really but not sure the best way to go about it.
I cant quite get my head around what you are describing. if you can send me some pics or sketches via email, ill certainly try to help. Dave . mail@celticdreams.co.uk
There is the same Tool but to make lock holder for the chain can you do small video about that
I think by lock holder you mean the small padlocks you see on gate bracelets. I wouldn't usually make one of those by hand as there are so many available and only a few pounds. But if I did, i would use the heart shaped cutter. two hearts front and back. a strip of square wire around the edges sandwiched in between, leaving a gap for the staple at the top. solder. bend a staple and make aloop at one end. insert and attach it to the lock with a pin as a hinge. notch the end to form a clip. Simple enough, but I don't know anyone who makes them. Dave
Hi sir
I need your help for making buffing compound. Would you please help me?
I watched your clips and enjoyed from watching them.
"making" buffing compound? I've never heard of anyone making their own. Tripoli as first stage polish, and then rouge to finish. Available at any jewellery supply, or online. Buffing compounds are basically grease (tallow) mixed with particles of fine abrasive. The hardness of the abrasive is what affects the cutting power of the polish. Aluminium oxide (steel polishes) , ferric oxide (rogue), powdered stone (tripoli), and pumice (fine finishes). But they are usually quite cheap and last for ages. So just buy what you need. Dave
