The Space Buns Tho ✨I saw this at 9yrs old opening weekend . I am now 56 & I can still remember walking in what I wore and sitting thru the film. Even tho I can barely remember what i ate two days ago ☑️
To be 12 years old and seeing this in the theatre back then on the proper old school big screen was just simply indescribable! The screens nowadays pale in significance to back then as they were independent theatres, not multi theatres, you were hooked right from the introductory blast of STAR WARS! Not to mention the introduction of the massive Star Destroyer!
Ketty, to quote from the late Sir Alec Guiness as Obi-Wan Kenobi: “You have taken your first step into a larger world.” And with the help of your fellow Homies, I hope you’ll continue on your journey with the upcoming films in the Star Wars saga.
I particularly loved the scene in which Han Solo and Luke Skywalker enter the holding cell. They neutralize all the stormtroopers, but the officer gets in touch and tries to figure out what's going on. A scene in which Darth Vader demonstrates his ability to strangle people with force.🙊🙊 • I also want to highlight the following: The "Binary Sunset" scene on Tatooine. I consider this episode to be one of the iconic scenes in the history of Star Wars. In it, Luke Skywalker, seemingly trapped in a life he doesn't want, longs for more and looks to the horizon in search of anything but Tatooine. • Main theme "Star Wars" it gave me, as a viewer, my first glimpse of adventure, excitement, and awe. • The track "Cantina Band". One of my favorite tracks from the entire franchise. The repetitive nature of the song contributed to its iconic sound. • Spaceships.☆★☆ In the first version of the film, they were made using old analog technology, but they looked impressive. • Stormtroopers are convincing. Their blasters, tactical helmets with radio communications, and armor that protected soldiers from laser fire. • All the stormtroopers in the movie hold their guns like they're left-handed. This is due to the fact that the design of the blaster rifle of the stormtroopers was not thought out to the end, and in a normal position the magazine rested on the stomach, which created great inconvenience. In order not to redo the props, George Lucas simply made all the stormtroopers left-handed, offering to take the weapon in the other hand. • The film has been re-released several times, often with significant changes - the most famous version is the 1997 Special Edition with updated special effects and recreated scenes. • The victory of the Rebel Alliance in the final battle sent a signal to the galaxy: not all hope is lost and the Republic can be restored. Thus, it was a symbolic victory. The film's director, George Lucas, set out to open up a new space for people's imagination, to give them a new universe where they would feel at home and which they would want to explore. • I believe that this film focuses less on the social and more on the moral aspect, bringing to us ideas about the good and the bad. 🧡The reaction was very interesting and really fascinating. Thank you ladies!🧡🛸🚀⭐
An actor called Anthony Daniels is in the C-3PO costume and yes, he wore it in ELEVEN movies, and did the voice too. Absolute legend. For some shots, a midget actor called Kenny Baker is inside the R2-D2 costume, while in others, it's a remote-controlled prop. Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru's underground house on Tatooine is a real house in Tunisia. You can get tours of it (I think..). This movie is also responsible for SO many of my generation waving their hands at a cop and saying, "you don't need to give me a speeding ticket" and... getting a speeding ticket.🤣
I saw the original trailer for "Star Wars" (which didn't even have John William's signature music yet) at a Star Trek convention at San Francisco's Civic Auditorium, and it was so popular that, all weekend, attendees kept requesting that it be replayed.
35:45 Obi Wan joined with the Force. It's a very rare Force ability that the Jedi of the era right before the Empire where in fact, largely unaware of.
In an interview, Carrie Fisher said that Peter Cushing (Grand Mof Tarkin) was so nice to her and always smelled like linen and lavender, so it was a challenge for her to say "I recognized your foul stench when I came on board."
Your channel & ones like yours are so great. Since I was run from behind into a wall on elgin street in ottawa ontario canada in 2002 and my neck was fractured by a man who started stalking me a year before fracturing my neck who has continued stalking me since, going out is not something done by much at all. Your kind company online is refreshing with this severely terrorized human.
@@Lethgar_Smith Do you comment on every comment you find strange? That is well lol. Have you lived a second in my shoes? If not then you have no idea. Many from ontario are strange so glad not from there
When they were shooting the cantina scene, the band members were breathing so hard because of the unventilated masks they were were that the heads were visibly inflating and deflating, so slits were cut into the backs of the masks to let air flow in and out.
40:20: Here you go, Viki - the MAKING of Star Wars. This came out on TV a few months after the movie came out: ruclips.net/video/FSuDjjlIPak/видео.htmlsi=DhLXzU_PFbxPgsLv
Come to Disneyland or Disneyworld, ladies, and you can fly in the Millennium Falcon, buy or build your own droid and lightsaber, and maybe get a hug from Chewbacca! ☺️
The original theatrical release had all practical, because thats all there was. THIS version does have some computer generated stuff (you can tell) that was added later in a re-release by George Lucas because he couldn't leave well enough alone.
here's some non-spoilery lore for you ladies: the star destroyer is 1600 meters long, and has a crew of 38,000 and carries a full wing of tie fighters (48 fighters, 12 bombers and 12 boarding shuttles). The death star is 120 km in diameter and has a crew complement of of more than 250,000. The planet killing laser takes 24 hours to recharge. Peter Mahew was the 7 ft 3 actor who played Chewbacca in the OG trilogy. I would STRONGLY recommend that you look up a video which reimagines Vader's last duel with Obi Wan (it's called scene 38 reimagined) which has a wonderful and more energetic duel then the one that made it to the big screen. One of my personal favorite bits of lore is about the creature in the trash compactor. Her name is Omi and she is a female Dianoga, a cephalopod with 7 tentacles and the one eye stalk. Her species is actually sentient and Omi herself is force sensitive. She senses that Luke is strong with the force and that is why she pulls in under water briefly, in order to baptize him in the custom of her species. Omi actually foresees the destruction of the death star but since she doesn't have a way off the battle station, she simply accepts it. Dianogas believe in reincarnation and shortly before the massive explosion that takes her life, Omi is wondering who or what she will be in her next life. as it happens you CAN by real lightsabers (as real as us lowly humans can make) and you can get a nice one for less than $500.....if you want to spend some cash you can get a top shelf saber for about $3000. I really enjoyed watching ya'all react to this one and I'm looking forward to the rest of the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy. I personally would say skip the sequel trilogy because it's trash.
Hello I can't believe this classic will be 50 years old within 2 years. I was 13 when Lucas released it in 1977. No studios didn't finance this classic. So, Lucas created his studio, LucasFilm plus special effects company, Industrial Light & Magic or ILM leads to Mega Franchise today a half century later...... But Lucas able to get 20th Century Fox to distribute this classic.
I'd like to recommend AFK channel's "For The Empire" series of videos which features a humorous "boots on the ground" view of the war from the perspective of a cynical, grizzled veteran Imperial Stormtrooper and a couple of naive young rookies.
When we were kids we all wanted to fly an X-Wing and drive a landspeeder. The landspeeder effect, when they're driving, is simply a mirror underneath hiding the wheels. For the 'parked' version, there'll always be something in the foreground, hiding the support holding it off the ground. Just a fun thing to look for if you know
beautiful Bulgarian angels, this version is improved by computer graphics, it was added later, and so the imperials did not have those animals that they ride, there was no giraffe on Tatooine, there were a few other creatures in the bar, there were a little less fighters, there were no me, i.e. Jabba =)
Not enough cantina horn playing aliens.. what's the deal with those guys ? And the walrus man guys.. what in the galaxy are they supposed to be doing ?
"Star Wars": The Hero's Journey of Luke Skywalker, guided by Obi-Wan Kenobi. What will these youngsters make of this ":old, long, slow-moving, character-centered, jargon-filled, no-DFX" movie? Welcome to the Space Opera/Fantasy world of George Lucas, have a great time.;)
If looking for a new show to watch, please react to STAR WARS: Skeleton Crew! It's a short, 8 Episode show about innocent young teenagers and space pirates in the STAR WARS universe that was fantastic, but like with most STAR WARS shows, most of the internet wants the world to not watch due to their senseless, biased nostalgia hatred of the sequel trilogy they can't get over. As sensible people in the world know, you don't have to stop loving new things just because one burned you. You don't need to have watched any more STAR WARS than this movie to understand it. It's pretty self isolated, and it has no spoilers for other films/shows.
18:40 it is cgi added in 2000th Jabba also cgi 23:12 game is original from 1977. the death star, a complete model, and fighter flights in it too, and lasers and lightsaber were already in 1977

Viki, Ketty, as Ben Kenobi said, “You’ve taken your first step into a larger world.”
Just think, that this came out in the US in less than 40 theaters on opening day! 🤯
And it became the most popular film of all time
