OMG MY CHILDHOOD FAVORITE MOVIE!!!! I’ve been watching this movie for the last 25 years ever since I was 2 and was the first movie I ever watched, and it started my childhood love of dinosaurs! Seeing you girls, my two biggest crushes, react to this literally made my day and gave my the biggest smile ever, you girls warmed my heart so much with this one! Ellie & Ketty, thank you for reacting to this movie, I love you both so much, all my love to you!!❤❤
When this came out I saw it 6 times in theaters as a kid, with different people almost every time. That's how epic it was. When CGI was new and blended beautifully with practical effects. Not completely depended on as it is now. I will never forget feeling the steps of the T-Rex as the water ripples...now that's chaos. One of the greatest cinematic experiences in history.
I really love the visual effects, the atmosphere of the tape and the soundtrack of John Williams in this film. Thanks girls❤
This was the 1st movie I watched in a theatre with my father after I started college. We both left the theatre amazed and couldn't stop talking about it for a week.
*It doesn't matter how often I've seen Jurassic Park, that scene in the maintenance bunker when the Raptor shows up behind Ellie will always get me with the jumpscare.*
*Side notes:*
*>The dinosaur sounds in this movie were made by combining sounds made by living animals and everyday objects.*
*>The Tyrannosaurus rex, affectionately known as Rexy, was a mix of elephant calf vocalizations (roar, snarls and growls), with koala, lion & tiger sounds and alligator gurgles thrown in and a dog playing with a rope toy (shaking the Gallimimus to death).*
*>The Dilophosaurus was a mix of hawk, swan, howler monkey and rattlesnake sounds.*
*>The adult Raptors were a mix of a walrus chest roar and male tortoise mating call mixed with a dolphin scream recorded with a hydrophone, while the hatchling was a mix of owlet and fox kit sounds.*
*>The Brachiosaurus vocalizations were slowed down donkey brays, while the sneeze was a mix of an active fire hydrant and a whale breathing through its blowhole(s). (There's an "s" in parentheses because depending on whether or not whales have teeth or baleen plates (think of them as biological water filters) in their mouths, whales have either one or two blowholes)*
*>The Gallimimus's chief sound effect was made using the recorded calls of a mare (female horse) in heat, while their movements were inspired by those of ostriches.*

Nedry's death in the book was way more terrifying than in the movie. The dilophsaurus sprayed him, sliced his stomach open, then bit down on his head.

This in fact was the movie that CGI became mainstream, this is the movie. It wasn't the first but it showed beyond a doubt that modern CGI could put 'real' dinosaurs' on screen.
When are you guys going to do "Society of the Snow "? Every single major reaction channel has done it already. Just waiting for you guys. Won pretty much every award in Spain, and so many others. Like Train to Bhutan, make sure to watch in it's original language with subtitles.
It’s a good thing that this is science fiction. Because even if you find a mosquito in amber that did sucked on Dino blood, it would be way too old to clone.
The first movie will always be my favorite because they used real life size animatronics and the actors were so perfect

This movie got me into dinosaurs even more. Do everyone remember "Walking with Dinosaurs" (6 episodes series), "Walking with Prehistoric Beasts," "Chased by Dinosaurs," "The Ballard of Big Al," "Walking with Monsters," "Prehistoric Park with Nigel Marven," "Dinosaur Planet," "When Dinosaurs Roamed America," and "Primeval show."
This franchise holds a special place in my heart. John Williams score in this film can’t get praised enough. It’s wondrous, dreadful, chilling, majestic and beautiful all in one. Bless him for all the musical achievements he had done for us

To answer Ketty's question Velociraptors are dinosaurs that have long claws like ellie said , they are also known to run really fast.
True but sadly their portrayal in the movie isn’t accurate, they’re much smaller and had feathers, but the ones in the movie are much more terrifying and ferocious which I love

Deionychus is what they were based on, but velociraptor was easier to pronounce.
@@ryan_hawks12true , I’ve just finished reading the 1st JP book & I think ( need to re read it), that it says somewhere because of the gene splicing the raptors were bigger than they should have been.

Fun fact for you girls, when Muldoon (the game warden) said they were tracking a tropical storm, the area they were filming, the Hawaiian island of Kaua’i, was actually getting hit by Hurricane Iniki that was initially projected to hit Oahu but instead took a 90 degree turn and went straight for the filming site and they had to halt production and wait the storm out, so the tropical storm they mention in the movie actually did happen, and this occurred between September 5th & 9th, 1992 towards the end of filming!
Yes I believe they even used the real ocean recording of the storm for the movie. Also it was Arianna Richards ( Alexis) birthday and they had to bunker down

You should watch the TRUE STORY movie 'ALIVE' from the 90s! 1993 too I think. A plane crashes in the Andes mountains with a rugby team on it. They have to find a way not only to survive, but to escape!

True, babies absolutely smell better than adults. Heck just most people smell better than older adults I swear.... living for many years nowadays without knowing anyone who still smokes, and then suddenly you pass by a person smoking, it's like the stinkiest thing you've ever smelled. Genuinely, how are there young people who still haven't evolved PAST that yet? I used to smell it every night during band practice and going to shows on the weekends and outside bars, but I had forgotten just how terrible it is. Hate it.

So real Velociraptors were actually about the size of a Turkey, the real dinosaur they used in the series was a dinonichus which was almost human sized.

The scene where the T-Rex breaks through the glass on top of the car actually wasn’t supposed to happen, the animatronic T-Rex they were using had malfunctioned and accidentally broke the glass, so the kids reaction in that scene is their actual reaction
