Interesting that you say you couldn’t tell if the stormtroopers dialogue is pre-recorded or not as I thought the same (whilst watching RUclips as I’m in the UK) ; their physical movements seem to have a tiny disconnect from their words, like they’re miming, but the dialogue itself seems completely relevant to each situation... Nah I would say the gunner is the worst. If you're the engineer you have so many more buttons to push. Where as the gunner you pretty much only push the Fire button.
Oh Greedo, I'm guessing you didn't get pilot position in Smuggler's Run. I'm not going to really defend the ride for this, but judging by your description you got engineer which is by far the worst position. Gunner is slightly better, given that you've set it to automatic you can just press the button and actually pay attention to the screen. Pilot is the best as your attention is almost exclusively on the screen while interacting with the ride in the most meaningful way. Once again, it sucks that your position and enjoyment is completely random, and it was up to the designers to craft three jobs that were equally fun, which they most certainly didn't.
I thought you said some time ago that you weren't going to Galaxy's Edge for a long, long while? Like until after the crowds began to die down and such. Were you invited by Disney, or did other people invite you? I'm not accusing you of being a shill or anything, I'm just curious why you went when I thought you said you weren't going to yet.
Dude, correct me if I'm wrong, but the only positive takeaway is that there were good actors. The rest is what you heard, or what your friends said, and most of them like anything Star Wars, anyway. Break down the experience, and give some details. The important stuff for me is seeing stuff like the dead IG-88. But why is he there? Are there any secrets or Easter eggs, or anything other than the Falcon and Savi's workshop to actually experience?
Echo Base Network There was minor Original Trilogy stuff. This park is for kids dude, they’re gonna want Sequel Trilogy stuff and Original Trilogy stuff.
Rebel Friend that’s cool not any kids I know. I have personally talked to kids that said they don’t like the new movies but yeah I’m sure a lot do And that’s fine.
Is this really a must experience life fulfilling event? Seems more like mindless consumerism and a veneer of exclusivity. When the dazzle and buzz is over you're just left with a debt hangover.
I've been there and It is actually a DISSappointment to me , first of all, it is not based in any of the locations we all know (Coruscant, Tatooine, etc) so I don't feel inmersed as I'm in a star wars movie but in an african movie film set (which I prefered Epcot and Animal kingdom million of times over this) ,second there are not original characters from the first 6 movies only Chewbacca (not rtd2, c3po, darth vader, lord sidius, rodians, twilek, ewok) only disney-made characters,, third Disney focused on expensive shopping rather than attractions. I really loved they did the millenium falcon but I expected a star wars land to be more futuristic, like being in a spaceship in an enclosed area rather than an old open afrincan place, I prefer Wizarding world 1000x and the new hagrid coaster (and I'm not even a fan) than Galaxys Edge
Those lightsabers sold that you can build in Galaxy's Edge are shit compared to what people can build for you now. Definitely recommend you not wasting your money on those $200 pieces of shit.
It isn't Mos Eisly's Space Port ... So we're not getting the Original Trilogy! It isn't wherever hell Qui-Gonn Jinn and Padme went to find Anakin in a Watto vs Jabba The Hutt Arena town! So it isn't that place to be a Prequels junky! We are at Galaxy's Edge as another planetary place as ... some other Disney Rey, Chewbacca, Kylo Ren, First Order place of hypothetical places to immerse ... neither a true Star Wars environment nor a new rendition of a Star Wars environment by Disney (as now Disney is all over the planets and places to even think about cities and towns on a single planet Tattoine)! Yes! It will be gulped up as today's latest convenience stores quickie-drink ... but no real home!
1. And this has bugged me for years. HelloGreedo wears a stormtrooper helmet. What if in the near future you put together a Greedo costume. And wait... NO not have to wear it for every video but possibly have it on a mannequin torso to puppeteer. Or maybe you could go all robot chicken and just use a 12" Greedo figure and wiggle him back and forth as you do your voice over. I know, I know that quirky mismatch of Greedo name and Stormtrooper helmet are now your thing and what would happen to all your signature merch if you had to change it. Perhaps forethought is what I'm proposing. Maybe the next channel could be TK_______Reports. Or maybe something should take that name but wear a Greedo mask. 2. Many reviews for Galaxy's Edge all say the same thing. Blah Blah Blah... immersion... Best things are the Easter eggs... little details and the Millennium Falcon. Is it weird that for such a big chunk of the Disney park, one which they crafted their own world in an era they chose with factions they made up, that people are most fascinated by all the stuff that didn't come from them. They have said they wanted attendees to have their own adventure, to be their own heroes on their own journey but when fans like yourself and other youtubers walk away and their fondest memories are of stuff that isn't new but rather from the OT (aka the reason why Disney bought SW) why not have focused more on that? Look at the various Western religious in chronological order; Judaism, Christianity, Islam and even the Mormons. Each one refers to the eldest edition but adds their own spin with new stories, new doctrines and attempts weave into the old scriptures to justify and validate its place in the lineage. They all utilize bits and pieces of Old Testament stories. Sometimes characters and practices, sometimes major components but in each case its more of a recognition of those things and not a continuation. "Everyone knows the Legend of Luke Skywalker? But what about our new hero? the One who is the spark that will ignite the fire to bring down the First order?" These words are spoken several times a day at Savi's Light Saber builds. Instead there are all new prophets and heroes, new excuses to believe their versions and to hold those up as being reflective of the time and society. If the OT is the old testament then the sequel era is the Book of Mormon.
I was one of the lucky few that got to go to Galaxy’s Edge long before it opened. The food was pretty shit, the blue milk was nasty, and the Falcon ride was pretty lame. (The chick that was a pilot kept crashing into things and it killed the immersion for me😂) If anyone plans on going to Disneyland for the sole purpose of visiting Galaxy’s Edge, it’s not worth it. It’s a great experience, but not worth flying from all over the world for. ALSO. The voice lines are recorded. The storm troopers have buttons on their blasters that will trigger the lines.
Darth Jaulce You can buy/build a lightsaber, build a droid, fly the falcon, and feel emersed in a well made theme park. So way more than a few drinks and costumes.

The engineer position also gives you a few puzzles that you have to do in order to fix the ship.
I’m excited to go in September!
Shame they fucked up star tours
Kristian Harloff has left the chat...
Eric Santucci Disney invited him. It’s not open to general public yet
He wa invited to do Jedi: Fallen Order stuff at EA, so I assue he used that time to also go to Galaxy's Edge
bumfree it is open to the general public
Gotcha
He was with friends going to EA play and one of his friends suprise them by getting tickets and they went to the park
sounds more like the Lost ride. NEED TO ENTER THE CODE!!!
I was going to say first but second is cool too
Dude, correct me if I'm wrong, but the only positive takeaway is that there were good actors.
Pilot is overrated. Engineer is the best position don't @ me
Reality never lives up to the hype!
Resv are full☹️, and gotta pass on booking a room.
It's open to public starting June 24.
Crumbs I can’t ever Drink milk because of my Diabetes someone please make a cure for type one Diabetes as soon as possible
Why does your diabetes stop you drinking milk? I'm type 1 too and I can drink milk?
Harry Wilcox I’m just saying if it was blue milk that would probably be a lot of carbs with the food coloring and the milk itself
@@Comiccollector239 oh okay
Harry Wilcox I Don’t know if that makes any sense or not
How much original trilogy stuff was there? It looks like all this garbage sequel trilogy stuff.... Where is Vader or other OT characters??
Echo Base Network
There was minor Original Trilogy stuff.
Oh no! Greedo criticised something Star Wars! He's a hater! Not a real fan!
I don’t really care about a park based on a planet i’ve never heard of before.
I agree Tatooine's Mos Eisley or Espa would've been perfect for this park
Yay, I'm early!
Hi
Bro no offence lol but Star tours was an ass ride
Fourth
I was one of the lucky few that got to go to Galaxy’s Edge long before it opened.
The food was pretty shit, the blue milk was nasty, and the Falcon ride was pretty lame. (The chick that was a pilot kept crashing into things and it killed the immersion for me😂)
If anyone plans on going to Disneyland for the sole purpose of visiting Galaxy’s Edge, it’s not worth it. It’s a great experience, but not worth flying from all over the world for.
ALSO. The voice lines are recorded. The storm troopers have buttons on their blasters that will trigger the lines.
The more I hear about it, the less interest I have in it. The cast being in character all the time would really piss me off.
Galaxy's Edge is just blue milk and people in costumes. Pfft.
Darth Jaulce
You can buy/build a lightsaber, build a droid, fly the falcon, and feel emersed in a well made theme park.
So way more than a few drinks and costumes.
