    Been waiting all morning for this to post! It’s good to see you back in “limited” action, good sir. Not even talking about the content, but to know how you’re doing. Your excellent at your job and I’m always excited to see what you produce, but it all pales in comparison to the person himself. Genuinely…can’t express how happy I am to see YOU (the man) back. Take whatever time you need. We’re not going anywhere! All love and support to you and yours. Stay blessed, good sir!!!

    I'm glad you're on the mend. That's far more important than some fancy B roll.

    I’m not on social media too much so it was a surprise for me. I’m happy you’re better now and wish you a speedy recovery. Love your content, too, so I can wait as much as needed. Cheers from the UK

    Just caught your review of the X2. It's an excellent robust well-built printer and like you I've been running mine since it first came out. I paid the original $430 for mine and I don't begrudge the price at all. I don't print on the glass bed anymore, I was wearing it out and so I looked around for something else. Angus over at Teaching Tech is a proponent of Garulite/G10 beds and with the use of Aqua Net old lady hair spray it works perfectly. I use picture spring clips to retain the bed. What can I say, I'm old school. It seems that the G10 bed will never wear out, which definitely appeals to me. It also spreads the heat across the bed really nicely. I can recommend wholeheartedly the 6mm nozzle. It will reduce your print time by at least 50%. A word of warning, try not to demount the print head. I love the ribbon cable assembly but the print head ribbon cable connector will only take about 5 disconnections before the ribbon cable or the connector will fail badly requiring the replacement of the ribbon cable and the print head PCB. My mistake was thinking I could set up two print heads with different configurations and switch between them. Since repairing the damage, the printer has been good as gold. I'm interested in picking up a smaller Genius Pro on Ali-Express since they seem to be going for about $160 and they share all the same parts with the bigger X2. It's 5 months later and I hope you have fully recovered from your medical issues.

    Gallbladders are no joke. My friend's father just had his removed. It was so bad he had to have a second hospital extract the toxins from his body that had spread. Last I checked he was doing fine. Good to see you are healing based upon watching your Framework Laptop frame project video 😀

    Great run down, I'm saving this to watch when I have more time to fine tune mine. Just got it about a week ago for $250 blackfriday, and I have been loving it. Great starter 3d printer, it's given me a whole new world of fascination to obsess over. I decided to go with this over the Ender 3 because of the bed size and similar cost while on sale, because I run a mushroom farm and need to start making my own ventilation duct flanges and HEPA filter attachments. This is going to save me so much money when it comes to printing the parts that go to my custom made facilities, literally print everything from ventilation, to finged, to door handles and door latches, and shelving braces, and mister system parts, and I am so excited. Currently printing a new ITX computer case, and every 8 hours feels like christmas when I see how amazing the quality is.

    ....I had the exact same.issue with the PTFE guide tube breaking down where it contacts the heat break. My prints were under extruded and "crunchy"; as it was my first 3D printer, it took a bit to figure out. Smooth sailing since....

    Not a fluke with your PTFE tubing going bad - mine had to be replaced as well on the 100hr mark. Clogged while printing PETG.
    Do you have any issues wjth elephant's foot? My machine has a huge one that doesn't seem tunable.

    • @ElevatedSystems
      @ElevatedSystems  10 месяцев назад

      is not been a problem. My first layer has been great. Check your initial layer temp, speed and fan settings. You may have the initial layer temp to high or the fan off for too many of the initial layers.

      @@ElevatedSystems The fan was the issue! Turned it to max by layer 3 and my elephant's foot is gone.
