    Thanks for posting your template, will save me a lot of time from what I hear it's the toughest and lengthiest part.

    I just got a Gladiator and want to do this for a fridge and my dog. Goose Gear is just too expensive. Thanks for the video.

      No problem! I can tell you that it works great for both. We have the VL60 and it’s perfect back there.

    I love how you have a small cast iron for the steak but a huge pot for the veggies 😂. Also, I must have missed it but what happed to the 4Runner? Love these vids, hope to see some summer camping videos!

    Awesome video! I'd love to get a goose gear but they are so expensive. And I've already made a custom sub box for under my seats but I'm thinking of doing something different to add storage and save some money where I can. This is for sure the way to go!

      @H2OTactics, Thank you! We were in the same boat. Absolutely loved the goose gear look but the price turned us away. Definitely saved a bunch of money doing it ourselves and it’s so much more space!

    Amazing. So glad you posted this. Did you make cubby holes? Wondering about the photo with the ice chest and what the dimensions were for the wood stabilizers under the platform dimensions. TYIA!

    • @DoorstepAdventure
      @DoorstepAdventure  2 года назад +1

      Unfortunately we haven’t cut the cubby holes yet. We are waiting for a latch to arrive for the doors so we can do it all at once. The bottom supports are 4” wide and 6.5” tall. But the floor slants in the gladiator so I’d definitely advise measuring it out!

    So awesome! I like the cardboard as a template. Was there anything you would’ve tried differently? I mean, either way, it works and looks good.

    • @DoorstepAdventure
      @DoorstepAdventure  2 года назад +2

      The only thing that we regret is not cutting the holes for the hatches before placing the carpet. Everything else went together perfectly!

    Prepping for my trip and shaving weight. How much would you estimate the rear seats weigh?

    • @DoorstepAdventure
      @DoorstepAdventure  2 года назад +1

      It actually surprised us with how light the seats were. I would guess no more than 40 pounds.

    Did this 2 weeks ago. But idled cushion and black leather and mounts for my fridge why gi ING my dogs space and a hidden place for my gun. Wife was passed. But after the first trip with it she was like. We should have done a year ago. I'm like duh. I kept suggesting it. she kept saying no. So one day I just did it .hehe he. I also took the back plastic out. You would be surprised how much more room behind there you could use.

      @@DoorstepAdventure only mistake that was made was a mis calculation on my end so far lol. O well. 1 inch smaller overall
