I straightened my hair today 💁🏻♀️ I wanted to do something new for today’s video. I’ve been looking forward to finding Gale for so long! I’m glad he’s finally in the group! 🙌🏻
Just some tips...don't forget to level up. You can hit the short rest button to heal for half your hit points, it also resets a lot of special abilities. Rogue's sneak attack is their main damage dealer. You can use sneak attack when hidden or when you have an ally in melee range of an enemy.
That’s cool. I didn’t know that it could reset certain abilities! I’m trying to learn more about character abilities so I can utilize them in the best way possible.
@@itisidaisyttv It'll reset a Warlock's spell slots, bardic inspiration, a fighter's second wind, action surge, and superiority die. A druid's wild shape, monk's ki points, a cleric's channel divinity charges and a paladin's channel oath. I might be missing something, but its extremely beneficial to go ahead and short rest after a fight.
Don't forget that, as Rogues, you and Astarion can do things that would normally take up your actions for the turn-like Dash, Hide and Disengage.....oh, and don't forget Sneak Attacks, they can be devestating on your opponents.
Enjoying this so far! Another few tips I wish I had known earlier on: - this has been said already but you can use a short rest twice a day (check the camp menu on the right of your action bar) to heal some of your hit points and reset some abilities, which means you don't have to use as many potions - a long rest will use camp supplies and heal you to full, as well as restore all your spell slots - throwing potions can be useful but a) try to throw them so it lands at the feet of your character rather than directly at them as it can actually hurt them; and b) you can also press TAB to see all your character's inventories and just use any item from any character - hold left ALT to see interactable items, it will help you find things in the world - hold SHIFT to see enemy sightlines, which will help you when sneaking (press C to sneak or SHIFT-C to make your whole group sneak) - you leave a lot behind when you loot, but it can be a good idea to grab everything and sell it, which will help you buy things you actually want - for checks, you can mouse over the ability/skill name ([STRENGTH], [SLEIGHT OF HAND], etc.) to see which is easier for you - don't forget to add all your bonuses for checks - Shadowheart's Guidance is very useful - and of course - don't forget to level up!
@@itisidaisyttv There is an 'add bonus' button below the check and when you click it you'll see a list of possible bonuses. Some are free, some come from scrolls or spells so you'll want to be careful that they don't use a spell slot unless you're absolutely sure you want it. But they are all optional, and sometimes mutually exclusive.
Omg I wish I had known that lol quick question-without spoiling too much, would killing Nettie trigger more fighting in the grove? Now I’m really curious and wish I had stuck to it to see what would’ve happened
Just a tip, keep an eye on the left icons of the all characters in the party. The arrow indicates you can level up, not only when a new character enter the party. You should be able to level up pressing TAB to see all the characters and look for the button "level up". Other than that, great gameplay.
“Wait everyone levels up?” Yup ^^ you’ve been able to level to 2 since I think before the goblin fight at the grove. :3 you should be able to get to 3 very soon ^^
You didn't need to reload. Nettie deserved what she got, when she attacked the player character. The door can be opened manually just fine. Killed her on my first run with exactly no negative long term consequences.
Sometimes harsh measures are required when protecting ones own, but "cruelty" is another thing. Its unfortunate wording. I chose that option several times, too. I get the sentiment and it's the one i most relate to, but it's just that one word "cruelty" that i wish they would have given one more dialogue option with an adjustment to that word, lol.
Oh no you forgot to pick Gale’s subclass just above the spell selection so it’s on the default which is Evocation (not a bad subclass but you might’ve liked to check one of the other ones, soon you’ll meet someone who can respec you so it’s not a big deal ^^)

I love the new straightened hair!

Also if you have the "risky ring" on, lol. The trade off for advantage on every attack (ty therefore sneak attacks) is SO worth it!!

Thank you for the tips!! How do you add bonuses to checks? Will it show up during the check and it’s something that’s optional?

@itisidaisy Guidance is free, make sure you use that one as much as possible :)
33:33
Ayyy you can level up again ^^
The team is complete! I hope you later went back to the Blighted village, there is much more to find.
I cannot believe you didn't slap Gale's hand. I *always* slap the hand first, because its just too damned funny 😆
I wanted to slap his hand so bad to fuck with him 🤣
Just a note for a future gameplay - if you loot Nettie after the fight, she has something that lets you out of the room ;)

@@itisidaisyttv Killing Nettie doesn't trigger anything further within the grove as you have no witnesses
@@Megsimanic omg I wish I had stuck with it! I wanted to kill her lmao
The way you are looting is very rage inducing but it's still fun to watch :D

Thank you! I was so bad at checking that out and looking at when characters could level up
Oh, speaking of which, Disengage can be a great way to get away from opponents without triggering an opportunity attack from them.
The "K byyye" was such a vibe when Astarion said "I'll see you later, I'm sure. Sleep tight" 😂
Lmao I wanted to keep flirting with him!
Gale sounds like a cross between Lucifer and Loki lol

There is actually a way out after killing Nettie but I won’t spoil in case you wanna play again (unless you don’t care)

was anyone else yelling at her to level up
Wow you look so different with straight hair
I love how it turned out!
Also worth pointing out that you're probably a little under-leveled for this area, because you skipped an entire dungeon at the start of the game 😛
