I can’t believe I missed Lae’zel!! I took too long to find her. At least I was able to meet Withers and Scratch!

That first crypt fight with the adventurers can be tricky, so nice work! A few combat/spell tips, if I may. I think you know some of these already but just throwing in what might be useful:
    - remember all characters have movement, an action, and a bonus action each round; some attacks/spells use actions, some use bonus actions (potions do too)
    - good use of jumping to increase your movement distance, but remember it uses a bonus action
    - rogues (like you and Astarion) have disengage, hide, and dash as bonus actions, which gives you a lot of flexibility in combat (usually they are actions)
    - use your sneak attacks for your rogues to do a lot of damage; they require advantage on your enemy (easier to hit/crit)
    - you can get advantage by using certain spells, hiding, using high ground, or having someone else in melee near them
    - you can't hide in plain sight in combat! trying that will waste your hide action
    - you will get disadvantage in melee when using ranged attacks/spells; try and use melee weapons/spells or shove enemies away/disengage and move to get some range
    - I notice all your current party has Fire Bolt; it's a useful clutch cantrip but Gale is the only one who will be able to hit consistently and do good damage as it scales with Int and he is a smartboi
    - when you cast spells that are not cantrips, it uses spell slots which you only get back on a long rest (short rest for warlocks), but they're more powerful and versatile
    - some spells require concentration to maintain (like Silence, which makes it impossible to cast spells when you're in the bubble)
    - you can only concentrate on one spell at a time (but you can still cast other spells that don't require it), and if the caster gets damaged it might break their concentration. this is an important mechanic!
    - Gale (and any wizard) can use Arcane Recovery outside of combat to get spell slots back; he can also learn new spells from scrolls, which is super useful
    - don't use Gale in melee unless you absolutely have to, his stick isn't going to do much good, and he's very squishy :D
Hope this is helpful and my tip spam is not too annoying hehe

Thank you for the tips and info! 📝 It makes sense that Gale would use Fire Bolt the best and the rest of the party wouldn’t do as well as him. I was trying to use Gale to fight but I should really keep him back 😂

Small tip here, because I saw that you did not take all loot:
I would suggest that you take more loot. If you don't want to carry it, just send it to camp immediately. There are only some things that are not usable mostly -- like ropes or some tools (they can be sold, but are so cheap that it does not matter). But for example armor and weapons can be sold and bring more gold than just collecting coins. Just collect it and bring it to a friendly vendor from time to time. Is totally worthwhile.
Every item also shows how much its value is. Normally I take everything with a value of 10 Gold or above. Some things are 1 Gold or so and are just a burden -- but armor and weapons are mostly rather expensive.
Another good loot particularly in the beginning are books, letters and notes. Basically everything made of paper. All of them have the standard price of 14 Gold in the game and that is a rather good value to collect and sell them.
The game even helps you to get rid of such loot, that you do not need: You can collect them with the right mouse button and take the option "send to wares". They are marked in your inventory as "wares". And at any vendor you can switch to the Non-Barter mode and get a button "sell wares". The system sells all wares in your inventory at once to the vendor for the price displayed near the button.

That’s so smart! I didn’t realize I could send stuff back to camp so I started picking and choosing what to take. I also haven’t sold anything so I should definitely start taking more loot like you said so I can start making some money.

Go back to Withers crypt location. There is a chest you missed in the back of the room 😊
Also, I would try to loot more items to sell rather than just what your character needs.
Well done on the crypt battle.
First time I played I fell down into it before entering and was surrounded by enemies by myself with my companions still outside 😅

Lmao I fell down after 😂 I’ll definitely go back and loot more. I haven’t sold much so I feel like I’m missing out on making money that way.

about books, most of them contain just random stuff, often lore about the world or about a certain location. but some books give your group actual knowledge that can be used in dialog or start/continue quests or reveal locations.
if you cant be bothered with spending 30% of your play through reading text just click on every book you find, select read option and close the text. takes like 1 sec per book and if the book had any game mechanic in it you unlocked it.
there are very few items that look like trader trash but can actually be used somewhere in the game, but thats basically more or less for players who like to play this way. it doesnt give you any advantage in quests or fights, butthe game may recognize that you kept that items and rewards you with a dialog or some additional lore.
if you are more a numbers person, dont worry and sell everything that doesnt say quest item.

Ooh I’ll definitely use that trick to read books really fast because I had no idea they could give you more info like that

Don't forget to make use of Shadowheart's Guidance Cantrip. It really helps out the skill checks.

Don't worry, Lae'zel isn't gone gone, if you long rest a couple times before meeting her she escapes on her own, you'll find her at different spot.

Nice! I took too long to get her so hopefully I find her soon somewhere along the way.

I'd also recommend talking to more NPCs. Nearly everyone in the grove has stuff to say or quests to give and you didn't speak to any but the main story ones! Fastest I have ever seen someone leave the grove so far

Of course! And ALL quests in this game have an affect on stuff later no matter how small they seem in the moment. You'll get to act 3 and something you did 100 hours ago in the grove plays a part! You want to be as thorough as you can in any new areas!@@itisidaisyttv
