About the warped leg, a good trick I learned from customizers when I started doing customs is to put the leg in very hot water, making it softer. Then position the leg how you want it, then dunk it in ice water to set it there. Works pretty well in my experience. :)
You forgot to include how well she sits in Greyskull!! It's the one sticking point ANY of us have with any Sorceress!

Damn Dan! You would think Super 7 would make sure to give you figures that aren't defective. Warped ankle, wonky eye?? Don't they know you promote the hell out of their stuff?!
MATTEL must take back FILMATION and finished them doing a restock or reissue of the female figures (Evil Lynn, Teela, She-Ra, Sorceress)
I've had enough QC issues with S7 that I've pretty much stopped buying their stuff, but I'm pretty happy with my Sorceress when it comes down to it. Her joints, especially in the arms, are very loose, but I still like it better than the big drums that the Classics figure had.
Pixel Dan I had the same issue with the boot thinking it was warped, but I realized the boot it just backwards. Twist the boot 180 and rotate the foot around.
Not sure that would work but.
Finally, someone with brain power. I saw the same thing in video, and spun mine around, and it worked just fine.
I think the wings work better on this than the classics or vintage toys.
I hope this video get updated with the issue on ankle/boot warped is clarified since it is just on the wrong orientation.
I mean, this stuff does look like the cartoon, but in figure form they look like little kids toys. Yet, when it comes to making cartoon accurate Ninja Turtle figures, NECA kills it. I think if NECA had the line, they'd come out more like adult collectibles.
This would've been way better with a cloth cape
Zen Brown, I don't understand why they never use cloth for capes anymore instead of plastic like they use to in the 1980s.
@@TaliaIGhul Because cloth would tear too easily, and it would be harder to add detail to such a flimsy accessory
@@listerine410 Funny thing is that the only way I'd tear my fabrics on my action figures is if used scissors. Really not that hard to take care of.
They should've gone w/two versions: plastic, spread out pose of the wings & a second cloth version. That way you can do multiple different, multiple type of poses w/the second set, while using the plastic version for the iconic wings spread open for the shelf. The folded plastic wings almost feel pointless.

Overall I like this figure, only issue I have is she has very loose ankles, which make it hard to pose. Paint on mine is good, heads change easily for me. Overall I'm happy with her, just wish the ankles were tighter so she can stand properly.
Also in the episode Origin of The Sorceress we saw, She-Ra’s Sword of Protection and Horde Scouts.
Honestly super7.com is the worst source for Masters of the Universe Classics news because the website is a complete mess.

Holy crap why is everyone hating on super7? I got the figure and i think it's pretty good. The alternative is not having any option to get anything because Mattel was done whether you like it or not.
Just one thing to say: COME BACK MATTEL!!! put some quality on this S7 disaster!!
that left boot with the warp looks like it was put onto the leg backwards
I just wish id get notified of these motu figures BEFORE they come out. Especially when it comes to the Sorceress, she's definitely my favorite of the universe as well as one of the rare figures to get your hands on....before the prices skyrocket.
Mine had the odd foot issue too. I noticed when you turn her around on mine the pegs are different lengths in the knees!
Got a lore question, is Kuduk Ungol the mother of Teela Na? The role of Sorceress seems to be a family line, like royalty.
My second head is missing the yellow paint on the head piece. And the left knee is splitting up twords the hip. Very bad one I received.
So many memories, liking these figures hope you can get them in the uk 🇬🇧 soon
I used to collect these figures from Mattel. I’d start up the Filmation figures, but not at $50 USD each, that’s insane.
Especially if the quality is this bad.

Sadly for this lack of interest (according to Mattel) He-Man is very much a niche line. It won’t get the sort of attention you’d get with a mainstream line, as this line doesn’t have that support. Kudos though for fans getting so many figures, for supporting this line(s) for 10 years.
I do love this wave. Mer-Man is my favourite so far.
The line might start to get more mainstream attention IF the new Masters of the Universe film (set to release December 2019) does well... IF it does well because Sony is handling the film and it's releasing the same month as Star Wars episode 9 (very close to that film's release date). I guess it depends on which film has the best quality. But if the new MOTU film does well enough to gain a profit, we might get more of the classics stuff available.
Some of these figures sell for a really high price so I think that they can get the support they need if it’s marketed right. I found this line late (2013) and I only picked up he man and Castle Grayskull and those prices went sky high.

The prototype looked better...MUCH. The Ungul head doesn't look old enough. This just looks like a sadder version of Teela Na.

The only issue I had with my figure was loose joints in the hips, ankles, and torso. Fortunately a Joint Fix bottle took care of those, and with no other QC issues, I have a fine Sorceress. Sorceress was always MY favorite He-Man and the MOTU character. Her design just always struck me as perfect, from a fantasy fan and a male perspective. As a kid, she was the one figure in the 80's that I could never find on the shelves. I always wanted one, and then when they released the Classics version, I smirked and took a pass. The figure for me always had to be a cartoon accurate Sorceress, and say what anyone does about Super 7, but they delivered me my cartoon accurate He-Man, Prince Adam, Skeletor and Teela. Now they've given me my Grail Figure, and she looks great. There's only one nitpick I have, and that's the skin tone. She should've had fairer skin color like Teela. But that face, that figure, and the costume colors and overall sculpt are perfect to me. No complaints here.
Hi. I want to start collecting MOTU figs but restrict myself to
15-20 core characters. Can someone explain to me what's the difference between the classics and club graskull lines of super 7? Also which one would u suggest for a new collector.

Does the Matty Sorceress’ head fit on the super7 body?
You would think Super7 would have fixed all these issues with the plastic they use by now....what the hell man! I wish Mattel would go back and make these again! Master's of the Universe is their baby anyway. Just saying.
honestly i have all the same issues as most with the figure but I used Mr Super Clear to mattefy the face and hands, and honestly I plan on posing her arms free of the cape regardless of the pegs. that is the point of the hanging cape...Luckily i didn't have the ankle issue but many people did based on reviews i saw...
Hey dan. Ive never seen you do a cut during figure assembly for motuc's. Mustve taken a while to get the wings on. I tried assembling her wing/cape and her elbow pin popped out.
Can you post a pic of the Kodak Ungol head on the Classics Sorceress buck?

Hi Dan..I would try the boiling water method to straighten the warped calf, just dip the calf in freshly boiled water for 10-15 seconds, then lay the figure flat whilst holding the calf straight or, it may go into it's original shape..brilliant video by the way..
Thanks again for another great Dan. In comparison to the original MOTU Sorceress which do you feel is better in quality, this one or the original?
The other thing is she can sit in Greyskull throne a lot better. I got one from someone on He-Man.org but I really have to get another one of her but yeah a cloth cape would have been a better idea.

Love sorceress but they just cant get the wings issue right.i almost prefer the other way dont like the holes in her arms.
Pure garbage. Glad I have these characters made by Mattel. I mean, I'd like to buy a few of these Filmation figures..but not worth more than $15. When you have mass-market retail figures like Marvel Legends that blow these away in the QC department and cost $20..that's saying a lot.
Super 7 is amazing . It looks exactly like the cartoon .

What's worse is how you can tell the prototype is really good, but the final product? Yikes! Compare the Teela from the prototype photo & the final figure...Man!

You could fix the warped leg by using the hot water/ cold water trick.
Best to just spin the foot on the peg all the way around on the pivot peg, then adjust the foot forward a bit, and finally just spin the boot around at the calf . . and it's fine.
Brian Flynn never gave us an apologyze for the cheap and unaccuratee paintjob for Sorceress, Teela and She-Ra faces, when I saw Man At Arms final figure i was so surprised and happy for what SUPER7 was doing at the time, but i dunno why those females MOTU characters didnt recieved the Quality that they should have deserve, specially She-Ra articulation and face painting and TEELA hips and butt!!
I know this video is older...but funny thing: the problem with the foot is a Sorceress problem .... cause my knew temple of Darkness Sorceress from the origin line ... has the same problem, with the same foot! weird

Super7 quality sucks. The way they handle those cool prototypes into making into action figures makes me puke.
I think I would dust off my sewing machine and make a cloth cape with individual feathers from the supplied plastic cape.
She’s nice enough looking. The torso is TOO short. That’s where we’re losing the height. We’ve got these regular length legs and then dwarf torso.
The Filmation female designs were always short torso, long legs, so it works. My only gripe would be that the leg spacing makes the hips look too wide.
The sorceress is shorter than her daughter Teela she should be right around the same height.

For the price they're asking, these figures sure as hell have a ton of QC issues.

Pixel dan i feel bad for you. I say that because it seems more then often you keep getting figures that always have big defects in some sort.
The pegs should be on the upper arms.

I wish the figure was as good as the reviewer. Cape is meh. The leg is warped. The faces look too glossy.

Super 7 female figures feel so fragile and cheap. I don't like how they got rid of the thigh swivel.

What to say (where to start actually)... shitty quality, as always from Super7, and too short for f/cking no reason. One face on a prototype, another (of course uglier than the prototype) face on the actual figure. Typical Super 7 stuff....
