I love how much better my foundation looks after I dermaplane! I was hesitant to try it but glad that I did! I like to shave in my bathroom, where I have a sunny window behind me that really illuminates my baby fine facial hairs.
Great video. I use the Flawless electric razor. I ordered it off of Amazon. I used to have the original one and it worked well. The new one is better though. It covers a larger surface area and has a light. I have sensitive skin and this is perfect and very quick. No exfoliation. Just peach fuzz removal. I do it once a week on a clean face at night. Foundation goes on so smoothly and looks so nice
I am well overdue a shave! Excellent tutorial - I have one pesky hair that I stupidly plucked about 10 years ago and it grows back so coarsely - but happily the dermaplaning cuts it off at least temporarily.
@LeannaDalton thanks Leanna. I didn't realize until I went to create a hash tag, but apparently, Quick Tip Tursday isn't as original as I thought it was. Lol nothing new under the sun.
Hey Tina! 👋 This is a great idea for a series. Thank you for doing this. You have no idea how many women you are going to help. I'm so clutzsy, I'd probably be missing a nose 👃 😕 😫. I use the Flawless electric razor and use exfoliators before. I got a package dermaplaning razors a little over 6 months ago. I've still got them and I'm still chicken! Tfs and I'll see you soon 🌈 🌻 🤗 😘 🥰
What a great video idea! Thank you so much for normalizing this. I think I will start doing again. My skin is really sensitive and the first time I did it, it was brutal. I never tried again. I have just been trimming the fuzz with scissors. I really want to wear make-up again, maybe this will help.
@Fab40s no need to be fearful. Yiu could just start with a more plump area like the cheeks to reduce risk of nicks. And then when that feels comfortable, move on to the trickier areas.
I am so here for this series even tho I don't think I will ever try this tip bc I'm scaredT of becoming teen wolf since I have so so much more hair than the average woman lol but I have been curious about seeing how it's done since I hear so many of my friends do this :)
I just read a Washington Post piece on this today: the type of facial hair this targets is vellus (sp?) hair. It will never grow back darker or thicker. It's just the peach fuzz stuff.

Yes! Backlight is really helpful! Thanks for being here!
I love dermaplaning. Great tutorial 😊. My favorite dermplaning tool is Stacked.
I'll have to check that out. Thanks, Cindy!
((reminder to do this today)) Perfect timing! I use witch hazel to "strip" my skin before starting.
Yes, that works too. Just want it super clean. Glad I could be a reminder for you. 😃
Congratulations on the 1.5 K subscribers!
Thank you! I am so completely overwhelmed and happy!
@@TinaHBeautifulJourney I'm so happy for you
@pajamamama5965 thanks for being a consistent and enthusiastic cheerleader!
@@TinaHBeautifulJourney You're welcome 😊 We all need those people in our lives. You are worth it
I’m always amazed how much peach fuzz I have on my face! Love how smooth it feels afterwards. Great tutorial Tina!
@tinasbestmidlife I know! It's crazy. I love how makeup goes on after.

That sounds more like my speed-- my skin is super-sensitive. Thanks for the rec., I think I'm going to try this, PJM.
@@agingophelia9812 You're welcome! I really like mine and I hope you like it too
Sounds like a great tool. And I love seeing you helping each other!
Hey Tina! I started Derma planing about a year ago and it makes a world of difference in how your foundation looks.
It really does. So much smoother.
So helpful! Thank you ❤
You're welcome! Glad I can help.
Hey, I am so glad you did a video on this. I have been wanting to try this but wasn't sure about it. Thank you so very much. ❤
So glad it was helpful. Let me know how it goes!

@beautybydez oh yikes! Yes shaving is totally different from plucking!
Great tip Tina!! I love this idea!!

Good to know about holding further down the handle. That probably explains why I cut myself last time!
@nancyannesunboxings maybe so. The instinct is to really grip so you feel like you have more control. But easing up is the way to go.

@myrnabledsoe7362 getting rid of the peach fuzz is important. And if you are exfoliating in other ways, you are doing fine.
I use the Jill Razor to dermaplane
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out.
Interesting video. I've never shaved my face. As clumsy as I am, I don't know if I'd try😅😅
You could get an electric shaver. Much less likely to nick with that.

If you tried it dry the first time, try using a facial oil. It might help the razor glide better.
Hello Tina
@lifewithchristine72 hey there!!!
Quite useful info. Sharing this with my daughter who is courageous to have done this of late ... I still am cat on the wall …

@@SueIsRetiringToFrance very true!
Yep. You aren't doing anything to the root, and that's what determines the density and thickness of the hair.
You have nothing to worry about!
