I used diamond clear resin, the thin resin if it's below 35 degrees F most of the time, but then it will depend on how warm the glass is as well, I normally go by the feel of the glass, if it's cold to the touch, I use the thin if it's warm to the touch being in the sun I will use Medium and if it's really hot in the summer I will use the thick resin. If the windshield has been wet I don't do the repair because water will be in the chip, so I will tell my customer to put a couple drops of 91% alcohol on the chip with a Q-tip and park it with the windshield facing the sun, I can then do the repair within a couple hours after that because the Alcohol will evaporate taking the moister with it.
I never did like going with the norm, I knew there had to be a way to get better repairs so I came up with a lot of ways on my own to make sure that people are really happy with the work I do for them.
how do you warm up the window?
I don't warm it up I can do the repairs when it's cold so I never warm up the glass and take a chance on it cracking because it warms up too fast.
@@ChipHappens-fz1fl what kind of resin do you use and to what temps? what about getting moisture out of the crack?
