The thing with Two Brothers is that people don't get that you have to push the mid to be a potential threat and not rushing like an inbreed monkey, so that 1.5/2 times the number of ships are needed to dislodge you. It cannot be done under all circumstances, you need the proper ship(s) and no CV to do so, but when it's nicely done it's lethal, you give both your flanks such advantage by getting every red attention for long enough to crush flanks.

Jingles, try checking the virtual 3d armor model for carriers (pick some at random). I noticed most tend to have the citadel only in the rear part. Unlike most ships where it's around 70% of the length of the ship centered in the middle, carriers have a tiny citadel (maybe 30-40% of the ship's total length) and it's more towards the rear. So, shooting a carrier in the front section would usually deal only over penetrations. I haven't played in quite some time, but there should be an armor model viewer in the port.
Jingles, you really need to watch the anime Kentai Collection... WW2 era warships come back as spirits to fight alien invaders... by possessing sailors of the female persuasion 🤣

I remember there being a time that you could watch the torps launch off of enemy destroyers so long as they were spotted , and you happened to be looking at them ... Has that changed ? I mean it's a small detail that no one looks for anyway , either because they have other things to pay attention to or because they are out of range of the torps ... but I used to warn my friends well in advance of launched torps that were not obvious but I happened to see them shoot off the side of an enemy boat ... this ofcourse was well back when friendly fire and carriers running out of aircraft was a thing . Both should still be a thing at that .
I swear to god - and i have not seen the base code - after seeing the "random HP" on secondaries and torpedo launchers, i bet pitadels on CVs are a planned thing.
I think the Fuso was angling against the other BB on the other side since it had lost a fair chunk of HP between last seen by the Litorio and it reappearing.
It would have been really fun if the Littorio had HE and SAP as it’s armaments. It feels like a bit of a waste to have fun collab ships like the AL Yukikaze that has the Kagerou hull but 8km Yugumo torps, meanwhile the others are just reskinned collectibles.
Give him a break, video title is Jingles dealing with the recent trauma of having several large medical devices repeatedly shoved deep into his nether region.
The issues with Italian accuracy are (for once) historical. Italian fire control systems were excellent, but the quality control on the shells and charges was so bad that at the two battles of Sirte RN ships sometimes couldn't figure out which of them was being shot at.
Well, apparently Littorio regularly tries to rizz up other ship girls in Azur Lane from what I’ve heard, if I’m using that word correctly. I’m not exactly well versed in the zoomer lexicon despite being a zoomer myself. So I guess the title and thumbnail checks out, along with that disturbing image in my head now. Can only imagine what was going through Jingles’ head when he made the title and thumbnail.
@@JoshCreepa, I can’t remember which event it takes place in but it comes from an interaction where Littorio is flirting with Illustrious. Illustrious response is feverish: - “But I’m straight!” Littorio, however, comes back with: - “So is spaghetti until it gets wet!”
Historically speaking littorio class was the most accurate battleship due to its duplex rangefinder. Fast aiming time due to the lower coincidence finder and high accuracy due to the upper stereoscopic finder.
Littorio optics were amazing, and the FC computer was also very good (Vittorio Veneto's computer is preserved at the Naval Technical Museum in La Spezia). The very high velocity of the guns, however was a problem for accuracy, even though it allowed to outrange (at least theoretically) even the Yamato guns and provided excellent penetration. After reducing the velocity, things got a bit better, and the weapon still outranged everyone, but issues remained. The reasons why are still debated. An older school of thought, coming from british historiography and post-war complaints by Adm. Iachino, blamed shell quality control, which was either lacking overall or inconsistent. New research from Bagnasco and De Toro (iirc) seem to put the blame on a weird interaction between brand-new liners and shells, which got better and better as the liner started to get worn out a bit. The issue is, liners for these guns, by desing, had a very short barrel life and had to be swapped often, so the issue presented itself again and again.
It wasn’t theoretical, they did outrange Yamatos 460mm guns by 800 meters…. With a 380mm 😂 There has been debate as to how inaccurate the guns actually were. Several papers have come out in recent years disputing the bad accuracy but, we can’t test them now so who knows.
Actually Jingles, most carriers are sufficiently thinly armored enough for BB HE scoring citadels on them, such as the Shokaku... On lower tier carriers, even DD HE can score citadel hits. You just have to hit the citadel that is most of the time smaller on a CV, (around the engine room, here, he was aiming too far forward, when you see the smoke stack or know where it is, aim for under it)
I actually did have one match when I deleted enemy carrier from 25 km away with one broadside salvo of my guns when playing as USS Minnesota. One instant he had pretty much full health, the other he was gone. I don't deny it, I actually asked out loud on my voice chat: "Citadels on an enemy carrier? Isn't that against the rules somehow?" XD
Little thing, the inconsistency of the guns is historical. The Italian 15" gun was overworked, but not quite as bad as the French one, but also had to suffer from very inconsistent shell and propellant quality.
Hey Jingles ! Hope you are getting used to the new frame of mind which invariably comes with surviving a serious health issue mate. From one who has also been there 😉
The whole point of shooting CV's with HE is that everybody is still looking for a fire. Early days CV slaughtering was made easy when you first set it on fire. It prevented the CV from launching airplanes. Nowadays going after CV's with AAA-cruisers is a thing. A nice example is the Rahmat. My personal best is 51 airplanes shot down in a single co-op game. At one point the CV was effectively no longer able to properly launch an airplane. I got them before they could do any harm. In the end I got the CV for dessert with torps.
