Makes me want to trade mine in before all that not shy to get my hands dirty, but good golly wolly!! Great video man! Not my problem but kept watching just for your effort.
What are the Plastic clips called that are in the Dash under the Steel bars? 2 of mine broke. The ones you put the long screws in. Thank you for the great Video.😊
only question i got is what engine does it have because i think that can variate between version of truck like the 5.7 hemi and 4.7 are different in a lot of places great video though hats off to you sir.
just did this yesterday on my 2500 same process, only difference i noticed there is a clip on the back of the box and a little more screws around the box
Doing the evaporator on an '05 durango. Already got the dash out but stuck trying to get the black box out. Seems to be a similar setup although not identical. Hows the black box held on? Threaded studs held on with nuts from the engine bay?
I'm so sick of this 08 Ram I have 6.7 diesel, apart from 4 dollars plus for diesel fuel then catalytic converters plugged, theres three ! about 8 grand, now the heater core or dampening doors the dam mechanic Bill's are more than I paid for the stinking truck,. Went into dealer to trade it in and with it's current problems they want it for free. So what's a new truck cost ? Oh here sir, 85,000 dollars OMG. What, another used truck with the same issues they all seem to have. This ole boy about ready to start walking or stay home, Jack Daniel's is way cheaper.
Do you know which hose goes to which line in on the heater core? There is a hose coming off the water pump, and another going back into the engine block. Does the hose from the pump go to the top or the bottom line? Mine is bypassed and I have to replace it without having the original connections to see.
I bought new all aluminum blend doors from Blend Doors USA. I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 can you replace all the doors without disconnecting the a/c lines as per this video. It looks like your doors have all been replaced .
I searched the internet for them and I honestly can’t remember the name of the company I ordered them from. Seemed like it was a business ran from home deal but it was over 7 years ago when I did that.
Great job, where about you live state & city.maybe you would like to make s one money. I need to do both heater and AC evaporator. My truck is a Dodge 3500 diesel.let me know if you want the job.
Someone at Dodge should be tarred and feathered for this engineering.
Great video and very informative. Absolutely awesome idea not having to take the Freon lines off. Thanks for sharing this video.
Thanks so much. This is exactly why a Mechanic charges so much. Hate to see how hard this would be on a New Truck!😮😮😮
No doubt.
Absolutely brilliant work, you did something nobody dare to do by changing that heater core without removing the evaporator core. Kudos 👊
I'm impressed. I just had my dash out replacing the doors. Never thought of moving the box back like that.
Well, I was thinking on getting rid of mine anyway you just help me make up my mind. Great video man thanks a lot. I’m going to look at horses.😅
🤣
This is one of the best videos I have watched. Very detailed and informative. Bless you for sharing this.😊😊

What a pain in the ass! If I ever have to do it again, my tight ass is taking it to the shop .

Best information so far. Thanks for telling people to take pictures.😊
Best information ever. Thank you very much 😊
This is an awesome video..This is the way to go of not having to release the ac lines 👍🏾. Little more work but we'll worth it
Makes me want to trade mine in before all that not shy to get my hands dirty, but good golly wolly!! Great video man! Not my problem but kept watching just for your effort.

I don’t know what they are called. Sorry
Could I cut a hole in the firewall and replace it from the engine compartment? Got an 04 with a leaking heater core.
Did u ever cut a hole 😂
I’m considering doing the same! Did you cut a hole? How did it work out?
only question i got is what engine does it have because i think that can variate between version of truck like the 5.7 hemi and 4.7 are different in a lot of places great video though hats off to you sir.

You are Absolutely Amazing. How do you remove every thing with one hand while filming?

Hi how long did it take you to do everything I have to do mine this weekend
Probably 2 hours
@@SpotsDots 👍🏿

I don’t know. Try googling it. I’m pretty sure one of the hoses is supposed to be marked for knowing where it goes.
I thought the factory top cover was bolted in from the bottom under the dash. And You have to pull the whole dash to remove the top cover.
Was your top cover replaced without the bottom screws mounted? I also have a 03

Yes I replaced all my doors during this process.
Very helpful THANK YOU saved me huge time!
No problem
Oh damn. ill never have heat in my truck
🤣
I was watching your video and you said that you replace the top dash covers, where did you find them cause my are all cracked. Thanks
I searched the internet for them and I honestly can’t remember the name of the company I ordered them from. Seemed like it was a business ran from home deal but it was over 7 years ago when I did that.
I recently found them at Rick Auto, about to order some
LMC truck is really good, I've heard. I'm currently working on getting my dash out of my 98 dodge
Someone replaced mine with a foam board. 35:26
I’m getting me a horse
😮 im screwed 😢
How long did this take roughly
Had I not been filming probably 5 hours
I cut my heater core hoses and still havnt figured out witch one goes were 😂
It doesn't matter.
In my 05 ram 1500 5.7 all the vent tubes are screwed to the top dash panel
How did you end up getting it out? I have an 05 also and the vent tube seems to be keeping the dash cover from coming out.
@drew8878 you have leave it connected get 2 people lift both side and sit the hole dash on seat and work from there
There has got to be an easier way man
