John Wick is an American action thriller media franchise created by Derek Kolstad and centered around John Wick, a former hitman who is forced back into the criminal underworld he had previously abandoned.The franchise began with the release of John Wick in 2014, followed by two sequels, John Wick: Chapter 2 in 2017 and John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum in 2019. The three films were considered critical and commercial successes, with a collective gross of more than $587 million worldwide. The next film John Wick: Chapter 4, was released in March 2023. John Wick (Keanu Reeves) was born Jardani Jovonovich in Belarus. He was an orphan and was taken in by the Ruska Roma crime syndicate, where he was raised as an assassin, eventually rising to become the top enforcer of the Russian Mafia known as "Baba Yaga" ("the one you sent to kill [the] Boogeyman") under crime boss Viggo Tarasov (Michael Nyqvist), who deemed him so ruthless so as to respect and fear him. At the beginning of the first film, Wick has been retired from being a hitman for five years after undertaking an "impossible task" for Tarasov, wiping out all other organized crime syndicates in New York City in order to be allowed to leave to marry Helen (Bridget Moynahan) before her eventual death from cancer, leaving him known as a legend in the assassin underworld worldwide.Every assassin in the world sticks to a strict code for conducting "business", revolving around the Continental hotel chain, which serves as neutral ground for the underworld, on-where all properties, all "business" is strictly forbidden,[6] with each manager - including Winston Scott (Ian McShane), Sofia Al-Azwar (Halle Berry), and Shimazu Koji (Hiroyuki Sanada) - swearing their fealty to the High Table, a council of twelve high-level leaders of world society, while paying for services within the underworld with specialised gold coins, used as both fiscal and ethical currency to acquire goods and services, as well as honor-bound favors - a specific variety of which, a "marker", binds one's soul to an unbreakable blood oath between two individuals, in exchange for a specific task undertaken by each party for the other, for which one serves as the "bearer" until one day on-which they intend to claim the favor owed.[9] Every assassin is bound to stick by two rules, lest they be made "excommunicado" - 1. The Batman is a 2022 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Batman. Produced by DC Films, 6th & Idaho, and Dylan Clark Productions, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is a reboot of the Batman film franchise. The film was directed by Matt Reeves, who wrote the screenplay with Peter Craig. It stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman alongside Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell. The Riddler Bomb yield on screen at 5:17 is incorrect, it actually yields 823,608.58 joules or Wall level; still far higher than any of Wick's weapons. The calculation is linked in an info card at that timestamp.

Bullseye has virtually perfect aim with anything he throws and is supremely proficient with ALL form of throwing weapons and Deadshot has virtually perfect aim with guns and is supremely proficient in all forms of guns and gun usage. If Deadshot was not taken by total surprise AND had his gun loaded and in his hand and ready to fire I would put my money on him over Bullseye since perfect aim with gun would beat perfect aim with throw.

I don’t think the martial arts superiority is going to last, given that John’s got four movies to pick feats from, and Patman can already contend with only one with more surely to come. The fact that this movie Batman feels more feasible to compare to characters like John is actually pretty refreshing. The human among ‘gods’ actually feeling sorta human.

The thing I enjoy about Reeves batman is that, batman is going to progress and adapt as the films go along, which is great because we get to expect something new from him each film and fans get to make videos like these where they can go back to them when more info/source comes out
This is Year 1 Batman which a lot of people tend to forget about. While we're comparing a trained killing machine to a Year 1 version of Batman in a film. Batman may know multiple types of Martial Arts and both of them are absolute forces of sheer will and with it being a year 1 Batman and John Wick fighting someone who can adapt to his tactics which in turn will cause John to adapt I would say it'd be a very close match with Batman's suit giving him a slight edge but in hand to hand combat then it would probably be one of them on top or end in a complete stalemate.

Maybe I am wrong but 4 kilotons comes out to 1.674*10^13 joules which is generally considered Town level. The highest calc I have seen is 1.56905767*10^6 or around Wall level. Now I could be wrong cause I haven’t seen every calc of this feat but I think you may have messed up the numbers or got a bad calc. Great video though, very in depth. You have a knack for breaking down skill v skill crossverse and inverse.

I personally think Wick has this against this specific Batman. I got speed around even cause most of their feats come from aim dodging, and I agree the armor helps Batman against all of John’s arsenal. But Wick’s shooting style is always aiming for the head(which Batman’s exposed in the lower half in) Batman needs to protect his face throughout the fight unless he can close the distance. With his superior skill advantage and range he should get the better of Bruce around 6 out of 10 times with that.

I just don't think there's enough information on batman for the martial arts portion. while wick has had 4 movies to go through maybe when reeves batman gets more sequels this match would be interesting to revisit imo.

@user-lp8im7ow8s yes and Bale is far more grounded than battinson. Did you see the athletic moves battinson pulled off in the final fight ? Bale can't so shit to that degree. Bale can beat Wick with his ninja skills probably but he has more weaknesses than battinson. Bale cannot tank bullets the same AT ALL ( which is huge as wick deals mostly in firearms ), he isn't as fast either as battinson even with his bullet tanking suit was shown to dogde bullets when he wanted to.
It would take Bale alot of prep time to defeat Wick while Battinson can literally walk up to him protecting face with a hand, tanking all Wicks shots and beating the shit out him till he's half dead on the ground. He even has that Venom-like serum if he really wants to bring the pain.

After seen John Wick 4.....I think Wick can take Batman......the amount of punish John can take is INSANE and Batman have a very clear weak point in his armor compared with the armored dudes John faces in part 4, and he find the weak spots a lot faster than before, so place a well good shot on batman mouth shouldn't be impossible.....still will be a good fight non the less.

I know this clip is about Batman vs John Wick , however, it is interesting how the narrator talks about Johns tolerance for pain which is nothing compared to the Punisher's who has meta-human invulnerability and tolerance for pain, which is proof by its self that if Punisher and Wick were to engage in a strictly hand to hand combat, no weapons duel there is no type or number of hand strikes, head butts, elbows, knees and leg kicks that Wick can deliver that Punisher would not get up from and keep coming at him like Michael Myers or Jason. For Wick to defeat Punisher he has to use his guns and catch Punisher off guard.

People forget that Wick, though out of his prime, could still take down bulletproof guards by using armour piercing rounds.
However, Pattinson's Batman uses ceramic composites in his body armour, which would deflect the piercing rounds fired in the John Wick franchise. Given their martial arts history, (according to the canon novel) Battinson easily bests Wick as canonically, Wick has *mastered* about 6 martial arts, while Battinson travelled around the world, picking up different martial arts, and mastering them (about 16, plus the 3 arts of basic SAS defence training provided by Alfred), totalling in about 19 martial arts.
Wick beats this version of Batman in experience, combat IQ and lethality, because Battinson is the only version of Batman with no onscreen kills so far.

Love John Wick, but I think Batman has the advantage. He’s built like a rock and doesn’t get injured nearly as much as John. John is always hurt and barely making it out alive. Batman beats criminal to a pulp and walks out like a true bad ass.

If John Wick and batman met I think they would see eye to eye even though John has a dark background John Wick is a man on a quest to atone for his sins and just wants to be left alone and Bruise Wane would be able to provide a safe haven for him and even have him as a partner considering he genuinely wants to do right. I don't really see many scenarios where they would fight.

I think you should've waited until the release of 4th movie, it has some crazy feats like Chidi (Zaror) reacting and blocking an arrow (which was shown to be able to nail fully armored soldiers to wall with a headshot) with his suit, potential "bullet blocking/parrying" from a random goon (however I think it was aim dodging), Wick surviving a more or less naked fall from 3rd floor, him and others surviving some nasty car crashes and more.
Equipment wise he got nunchucks which he uses them in an extremely versatile and skillful manner and incendiary shotgun shells specifically used for destroying armor (like those suits which in this movie their true strength are demonstrated) so it might give him more options to deal with batman's armor.
Year 2 Version of Batman . There's a reason he didn't compare John Wick with Bale Batman or Batfleck

Comics batman would blitz Wick lickity split in a kage fight. A master of every martial art and can bench over 1000lbs. If his extensive knowledge of martial arts wasn't enough to beat wick then he would simply over power him. Not to mention his cardio, he spends all night fighting criminals, grappling and gliding across rooftops.

I would’ve probably leaned Wick in this fight versus Pattinson Batman. He might just beat every other live action Batman, but Batfleck is a whole other beast. I think Batfleck would easily dominate and eliminate Wick with zero difficulty

I think Wick wins out for me. While yes, batman's armor is bulletproof, given even just the footage of how their fights go, I'd give it to Wick as I defy anyone to convince me Wick would waste a single shot at the bat's very obvious armor when the literal gap in his defenses is plain on his face. And that's assuming Wick doesn't just opt for a headshot outright. This isn't to discount the bomb feat either; I'm just not personally convinced that him being blown away from the explosion would scale him out of being vulnerable to being shot in the mouth- otherwise you'd have to argue that anything that the guns and such which either stun or jostle batman are even slightly comparable to the bomb itself. I think Batman's armor and arsenal would scale higher on paper, but ultimately the win condition for Wick is so easy on his end in comparison to Batman's.
The mouth shot would be a easy shot for wick but it's just if Bruce will allow him to aim at it.

I love both characters, and this is a tough one. If Wick gets the drop on Batman, he can just shoot him in the face - game over. Otherwise, Bats should win. However, as the great, late, Stan Lee once said, “Who will win vs who”? It’s a pretty silly question. Whoever I damn well write wins!” It’s like Squirrel Girl vs anyone - Squirrel Girl will always win, because that’s her thing. Unless she needs to lose, for the purpose of the story. Or Goku. He loses the first few fights, but always wins when it counts (unless the story needs him to do otherwise”.

Batman vs Boba Fett(Legends)?
Batman got a shotgun and bomb pretty much point blank to the face and got up. Not to mention he jumped off a building like 600+ feet in the air and flew full speed into a bridge and hit it head first to stop. He is kind of a scary movie villain in terms of amount of damage he can take. I don't understand how people say Reeve's Batman is realistic. He is less realistic than Affleck's Batman who man handled Cavils Superman.
Speed wise Wick has to be faster not wearing 50+ pounds of armor. Batman doesn't kill people or at least doesn't try to kill people. One guy willing to murder has to be an advantage. I mean if it was Affleck Batman vs Wick. It would be a no contest. Pattinson I don't think can take out wick who seems to be very close to a Punisher or Red Hood.
Tho love them both so during Batman's Prep time. He finds out that they killed Wicks dog. He decides to help Wick as long as Wick doesn't kill more people. End of the movie Batman is mad at Wick but buys him a farm full of dogs. The end
Even though John deals with other assassins they're still human, Batman deals with superhuman enemies sometimes so I think Batman would still have an advantage in hand to hand combat. John's only advantage is the use of guns.
No. He deals with purely human criminals. At least, the version of Batman chosen for this video does. It's the Pattinson Batman. There are no metahumans in his movie.
Yea Arkham and most animated versions of Batman would no diff John, hell even Batfleck would smoke John (and comic Batman is the most OP of all), but he specified that he’s using Battinson. And Battinson is very much not on that level
First of all we're talking about this specific version of Batman, not comics or any movies in general. He did and does not know how to fight superhumans since they do not exist in the verse in the first place.

Pattinsons batman got whooped by a bunch of teenagers in a subway station. Meanwhile Wick took down assassins just as good as him for 4 straight movies back to back. Pattison got shot once by a wanna be school shooter and had to use adrenaline to save his life, John has been hit by multiple cars, stabbed, shot, broken bones, fell of a hotel for gods sake, and kept on fighting, Wick absoutely destroys Pattinsons batman. The only live action batman that can whoop Wick is Affleck, the one who took down a literal god, parademons, and of course a Warehouse full of armed mercenaries like they were nothing.
