Update on the burgers: I had to double up the meat and add cornstarch because these were too runny and wouldn’t stay together. Once that was done these were decent but really not better than a regular burger. Overall: 6/10

I can see a lot of people in the comments below will starve to death in the coming years. These old depression meals have kept many mouths fed and belly's full over the last 150 years. they are tried and true. Meals like scrapple and Goodwill Burgers were a staple of the great depression...
My mother use to mix hash brown potato's or tater tots in her ground beef as well as saltine crackers with onions eggs heavy cream cream cheese and shredded longhorn Colby cheese and a bunch of spices and make some pretty great burgers out of it...
another favorite of our family was loose meat sandwiches. which consisted of ground beef and a can of corned beef fried potato's onions peppers and shredded carrots all fried up in a pan and served on fresh baked bread topped with pickles and a slice of cheese...
Now more than ever there is a need to make every meal stretch anytime you can turn 3lbs of ground beef into 6 or 8 pounds of food and make your meat go much further is a plus.
