ugh.. the only problem with this vlog... is I wish it was so much longer!!!!! Loved every second of this
Part two drops tomorrow!!
I love Sydney. My husband, who refuses to ever travel, instantly fell in love with the city. He would love to live there.
Yeah it’s got a great lifestyle
Loving the travel content being back!
Thanks Laura! Stay tuned for more :)
So happy to see you enjoyed visiting my hometown. Next time, be sure to explore the blue mountains west of Sydney and the south coast for some of the most whitest sand beaches in the world.
Yeah thank you Craig. Next time up to the mountains for sure. Have you seen part 2?

I'm visiting Sydney for the first time in December, can I do the blue mountains on a day trip or is there somewhere else you'd recommend?
Great and detailed video! Thanks a lot!! It’s definitely super helpful for my trip to Sydney next month :)
Good to see a visitor's view of Sydney, positive and upbeat. We lived in rural Central NSW before moving to New Zealand and used to dread having to go into Sydney for whatever reason. You found the great spots to explore.
Thanks Tina - check out part 2.

That pool right next to the ocean is the Bondi Icebergs. You have to swim there all year around to be a member. Good place to meet friends.
Thankyou for giving my people respect and acknowledgement. It is appreciated.
🙏🏼
Glad you like my country. Yes, it’s a beautiful country with lots of awesome views. Have more fun exploring Sydney. Cheers.
So glad you enjoyed your time in Sydney..so looking forward to you visiting our country again...we have so much to see....xxx
Thanks Karenne. I’ve got another great Sydney vlog coming your way! Stay tuned
Your vlogs are quite unique, with beautiful images, well presented, and intelligent commentary.
Thank you Ian. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I enjoyed Sydney when I was there in 2018. Even caught an opera at the opera house.
That sounds like an unforgettable experience!
What a cool vid!! Keep them coming!!
Thank you Ana. Stay tuned for my Thailand Vlog series coming up next!
That was so fun! Thank you for taking us in the surf with you to experience it from your perspective! You looked so happy! 😀 🌊 I'm loving both your and Carrie's travel vlogs!
Thank you Kristen! Surfing is my happy place for sure. Nothing bette than traveling to surf :)
Love how much you managed to pack in to such a short time in Sydney! Always love visiting the city. Can’t wait to see the rest of these vlogs and also when you return to Aus and visit my home state of Tasmania which I know you’ll both absolutely love!
There’s a whole lot to do! Stay tuned for the next vlog!
Tassie is my state too, so grateful to live here. Did you see Chris Hemsworth is in Hobes at the moment 😅. What's going on? Nicole Kidman around Chrissy time and now the Hemsworths 🤣🤣🤣. Not to mention the usual Mark Webber in my little town during the summer.
@@nataliekeane8944 haha ikr everyone is visiting!

What a lovely surprise! I was a Vagabrothers fan, and in doing research for an upcoming trip to Australia, I arrived here. "hey! I know that guy!" Your travel style is like my family's - learn about the history and culture of your destination, eat great food, and hang out like the locals. Thanks for some great tips!
I’m stoked you found me again :)
Hope you have a great time in Sydney! Be sure to check out the rest of my content, lots to catch up on.
All the best,
Alex

Pleased you saw some of the touristy places but you also went to some other areas of Sydney. Guy Turland your Depot Chef friend, grew up in the Southern Highlands about a 90min drive south of Sydney. Thank you for your video 😊 Sydney is a diverse multicultural city, hope you enjoyed it?
Thank you. Loved it - seriously an gem of a city. Stay tuned for the next Sydney vlog dropping weekend!
So festive! Been to Melbourne but not to Sydney yet. Now I know where we’re eating when we get there. And the surfing experience was extra special for us non-surfers to see 🏄♂️ 🎉
Sydney is definitely worth a visit! Thanks for watching :)

My son's friend Gabby owns the bikini outlet at that Bondi school market. Great videos!
Hahah that’s awesome. Tell her my wife loves the Bikini :)
Please make a vlog of the GREAT BARRIER REEF. 🙏🏼
For sure!
Kings Cross certainly is a diverse area 😆
Haha yes it is
Nice
I've always wanted to meet Buddy Guy!
Guy’s a great buddy ;)
YOu need to head to Brissy at some point, and also North Queensland, eg. Cairns Kuranda
Paronella Park and the Boulders are by far my fav places in North QLD... just a heads up lol
Definitely! I have relatives in Brissy.
You should visit the gold coast and sunshine coast in Queensland
For sure Luke! I have relatives in Brisbane and have been to Goldy before. So nice! Need to get back!
@@AlexanderAyling for sure. O nice you know the Aussie lingo. Goldie and sunny coast 😁
Hi love the vlogs, did you see any snakes or spiders? Love to visit Australia but wary lol
No snakes or spiders that we saw in Sydney haha.
lol there is nothing here to worry about all that is only really seen if you go out in the areas that no one goes !!
Great video! Could you reduce the bokeh on your camera? Like we couldn't see the stony buildings in the back or your mate because they were out of focus.
Hello from Brazil
Hello Luciela. Tudo bem?

Watching this video from Podos pc.....
Go see Queensland guys! Great barrier Reef and Surfer's Paradise are a must see!
Next time we’re in Aus for sure. Stay tuned for the next video!
Have you any idea to visit sri lanka 🇱🇰 ?? 💁🙂
Of course. We love Sri Lanka

😮 wow 🤩 Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 the best place to visit. I want to visit there next year. I’m coming from United States 🇺🇸. Do I need a visa. Visit Australia 🇦🇺.
A US citizen can get an ETA (electronic visa basically) online usually in a few minutes
As an old Sydney girl who now lives in QLD. I don’t understand the tourist fascination of Bondi beach. I can name 50 other beaches in NSW that are just as nice looking if not better looking, less touristy, have less crime and have cheaper food than that tourist trap. No beach in Australia is rubbish looking but this Bondi fascination tourists have I don’t understand. Is it because it’s easier to say Bondi compared to Tamarama or Cloverly or Manly? Or is it because of the Bondi Rescue TV show?
I agree with you Kim.I dislike beaches that have replaced the natural surrounding with tar and cement.
@@petermcculloch4933 i agree , there are at least 50 beaches in sydney better than bondi
Hey Kim,
I visited primarily to eat at my mate’s restaurant. Have you seen part 2?

So now that Australia has changed back (to some degree) the rules to Aus citizenship for kiwis, any thoughts on uprooting once Carrie has her NZ passport? 1000 or so days & counting.
Or are the sounds of running water, the wind in the leaves, birdsong and the sight of waddling ducks & chickens, the sheep in the meadow, mist over the pond & oo much to leave?
Stay tuned folks
O
Read too for oo.
Good to see you're having a great holiday.
I always enjoy the vids
Thank you Paul!
Great video m8.
Bur your closed captions are waaaay out and really annoying.
Cheers and thanks!
You can turn them off...
Sharks, deadly jelly fish????????? a problem there?
How long do you plan on living in NZ?
Yes and yes but only in certain areas. Plan to be there for the foreseeable future
In Sydney? No not an issue
In Australia you'l find that the term "European" early setters or colonists is used pretty frequently, because a large proportion of arrivals in the convict and colonial era were Irish. Being predominantly from the Catholic south of Ireland they definitely didn't consider themselves "British." To them, the "British" were occupiers of their homeland.
I don’t know how to contact you - I don’t have social media. I hope you see this comment??
Could you please do some videos around affording housing and travelling at the same time? Also how did your family take it when you got married without them?
The cost of living is so high (everywhere) I’m in Australia. I want to travel more (29F) and my boyfriend wants to secure a house (30M). We have been together for 2 years and we haven’t travelled together. I’ve done a lot of travel and I really want him to experience it too. I just really need our first trip to be a good experience for him so he can see we can do both (house and travel). Okay so questions:
1) How do you and Carrie manage money to be able to afford grounding yourself and travelling too.
2) How did you and Carrie get on the same page about what you wanted in your early 30’s? There is so much pressure to buy a house, or pack-up and travel while you can, or get your career going, or have babies (all full-on big life changes). What were the questions and discussions you had to get on the same page/make a plan?
3) Any suggestions on where to travel for a first trip as a couple.
Ps. Loving your videos, both of your channels have great content. In particular I love your Milford sound trek and Dumbford boat trip (I think that is what it was called?) my partner really wants a house like your homestead where we can garden. Big thanks to both of your channels - your content is relatable and fun to watch 😊
Hey there. I’d suggest listening to our podcast (Soul Sugar Podcast). It’s linked in the description and we have episodes about the topics you’re asking about
@@AlexanderAyling Thankyou!
@@Al.531 Stay tuned for the next Sydney vlog too! Drops in 5 hours
you shouldve gone to Melbourne also its a super cool city.
whatever mate- typical Melbourne, this is a Sydney blog but you need to make it always about you
Did your friend, warn you to avoid the Bondi Floating Chocolates? Their made ALL over Sydney and processed in a little plant just up the road from Bondi Beach. Their Round, Brown and some of your fella Rubber Necks say their quite tasty!
Australian Indigenous were Stone Age tribes before 1788, they're not now; how is that a "continuous culture"?
They were not “Stone Age”. They made the first flying aerofoil, they cultivated and tended the land, they built complex fish traps in rivers. Sadly there is a history of racism in our British history, most of us whitefella Aussies respect the 240+ Indigenous nations, their art, science, culture and spiritual link to “Country”. Always was, always will be..
Buy yourself a car next time you come you won't be sorry.
Egg was overcooked.
Just a touch. Probably because I waited for filming… it was still delicious
