- On-ride photos are a popular way to commemorate a specific roller coaster or amusement ride. In this video, I share some of my favorite on-ride photos of all-time and the stories behind them.

When I was a kid, I was pretty brave about going on rides. Now that I am a senior citizen, the rides have gotten bigger, higher, faster, etc. I guess I might have to start from scratch!
They're smoother now though.
@@CanobieCoaster That's good!
@@louiselanthier5135 good luck trying it! There are some great coasters out there!
Don't give up. This summer, I was marathoning Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point with my fast pass during the 2-hour locker rental. There was a lady in her 80s doing the exact same thing. I thought that was awesome, and I hope to end up like her.
@@OklahomaCoasterFan I would love to try Steel Vengeance! Sounds awesome!
My personal favorite on-ride photo was the time I took a copy of Physics for Dummies onto the Tower of Terror at California Adventure. My wife and I have quite a few silly ride photos we've done over the years.
Lol
thanks for sharing these stories! it was certainly interesting to watch
Glad you like them!
I rarely ever buy on-ride photos, but I remember some noteworthy ones from looking at the photo at the ride’s exit.
I once tried to make a funny face for the camera on Steel Force, but I instead looked like I had eaten a bad shrimp 😂
Lol
I absolutely loved this video! ☺ 💜 It made me smile and giggle quite often! Thanks so much for such a cute video! I just love that we all tend to have similar reasons, for getting ride photos, such as 1st time rides, silly poses on rides, etc. 😊💜 One of my favorite ride photos was taken on California Screamin' (now the IcrediCoaster), and it was my daughter's 1st ride on it. It didn't go well. I LOVE THAT COASTER so much! I was hoping that my kid would love it too! (She adores Big Thunder & that IS my favorite Coaster! She also loves Indiana Jones!) So, I thought she would love the DCA Coaster just as much...nope! In the ride photo, I have this huge grin, on my face! My looks terrified 😢 and she apparently was. 😢 It broke my heart! She was 13 or 14 at the time, so I thought that she would be fine. Nope. The reason I LOVE this on ride photo, is because, she at least to a chance to ride it with me, and since she still won't ever ride it again, I at least have this one photo! 💜
That must be a funny photo.
I have 2 that hold great memories. One is me and my dad on El Toro back in 2010 when I was 7 years old. I was really into coasters from the get go and El Toro was one of the first major coasters I rode. I was still GP until like 2016-17, and still shocked I rode El Toro at such a young age.
Another is me and my friend dabbing on a night ride on Comet at the Great Escape in 2016 during fright fest. We both went to the Great Escape nearly every day that week of fright fest, and that photo was a keeper.
I think I have an old photo of my dad and I on Comet.
Probably my most meaningful ORP was on Superman: Ride of Steel at SFNE in 2004 (with the original, unmodified T-bars no less). It was the day I conquered my fear of roller coasters and became an enthusiast.
I miss those t-bars.
My favorite ride photos are the ones from Santa's Village with Santa and The Flume, the photo of the Flume was actually the first time I went on any drop coaster type of ride. I realized in '17 that roller coaster drops have the same effect. I also have an photo from Storyland's Bamboo Chutes, we were just goofing around on the Flume drop with the camera and we made the funny face picture, the casual picture, the bored picture, and obviously the one with us all smiling.
Awesome!
I loved this. Was awesome seeing your photos and hearing the stories behind them. Great idea! 👍
Thanks so much!
I really like all of these on ride images!
Thanks!
This is truly great content. Thanks for doing this
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've actually gotten sent around twice on Space Mountain at Disneyland Anaheim before. My most recent visit was during my senior grad nite and idk what happened but ride closures were basically following me throughout the day, and that includes Space Mountain. Luckily they fixed it and I eventually got on it, we do the run through and just randomly we go past the loading bay and a ride attendant asks us if we wanna go again. We went again and it was amazing. Made up for the almost 2 hours spent in that line lmao.
Nice!
I have on of me crying on renegade at valley fair lol
Lol
I'd do that day trip in the cold to Great Adventure with you lol! Love the photos!! Also funny that sometimes it seems like the forces are affecting everyone but you lool
I've ridden a lot of coasters so I guess I know how to control my body.
My friend let me have front row on Splash Mountain as Disneyland. He swears he didn't know that seat got wet. I didn't mind. I still have never bought an on-ride photo. I rarely look at them, but I remember pretending to be asleep on Fury a couple times. I enjoyed taking a look at those.
To the defense of locals, Disneyland turned up the wetness after a refurb a few years ago.
Thanks for sharing ☺️
No problem!
0:18 "my six flags hotos"
also radiator springs racers is awesome! definitely one of my favorite rides at any disney park. i actually got like 2 pops of floater airtime
The finale really has coaster like elements.
I was subscribed when you hit 1k I think. You deserve a million!
Thanks!
That was actually a really fun video! Onride Photos are really cool actually.
Agreed!
Bandit is really fun in the back and I don't think it's too rough, in my opinion it's more rough in the front than in the back😂🙌🏼
I found that ride more boring than painful.
@@CanobieCoaster I really like it, I had 2 night rides last week and they were awsome and saturday I will ride it again cause it's my 3rd nearest Park beside Phantasialand and Walibi Belgium🙌🏼
my favourite onride photo is either my first time on stealth at thorpe park or my first time back row on nemesis where i felt the g force
Launch coasters always give great photos.
I think it would be cool if you made videos of your dream coaster mixing elements together from other real ones. For example, your dream B&M Invert can have a drop with a helix like great bear, then a vertical loop into a zero G roll like Talon, then a helix like Silver bullet. Something similar to what Theme Park Predictions did, he made a video like this. It's just cool to use your imagination.
I can look into something like that in the future.
The only on-ride photo I have is me with my sister, father and grandmother on the Pepsi Orange Streak at Nickelodeon Universe back when the park was Knott's Camp Snoopy and the ride was known as the Pepsi Ripsaw. I also had a picture of the 4 of us on the Log Chute as well but sadly it has been misplaced.
Nice, those are probably rare ones at this point.
I have an on-ride photo of me riding Cheetah Hunt where I am holding a park map straight out in front of me and my facial expression makes it seem like I am confused by the map. One day, I want to get an on-ride photo of me brushing my teeth!
Nice!
I often try to do the Cornholio pose from Beavis and Butthead for on ride cameras.
Lol
I’ve never bought an on-ride photo yet 😭 I wanted to buy my Manta one so bad!!!
Whenever I ride Manta, I like to hold both of my arms straight out in front of me for the on-ride photo so I look like Superman. I really like doing an arm workout just before this and then riding Manta so it looks even better!
I buy them if they're a milestone ride or funny.
I have a pic of me on Raging Bull at SFGAM in 2011, and recently hit my 10 year riding anniversary with a photo of me and my girlfriend on it in 2021. The frame graphics have definitely improved.
Nice!
@@CanobieCoaster another thing though, they now trim pretty hard on the first camelback, so the airtime overall has taken a hit :'(
5:58 Monster Hunter is a very popular game franchise in japan, but mainly only in japan incase you didn't know that.
Ah ok, thanks!
In all my on ride photos I just look super bored haha
Deliberately?
@@CanobieCoaster I used to do it deliberately but now it just comes naturally!
I almost got a zen ride on Space Mountain at WDW in 2018
Nice!
I haven’t gotten a single on ride photo, there just pretty expensive and I just see no need for me to buy them
The Disney ones come with MaxPass, which is why I have so many of them. I buy others if it's a special ride or a particularly funny photo.
@@CanobieCoaster ok
i have a photo of me, my mom, and my dad on candymoinum, my mom and i had our hands up enjoying it to the fullest, my dad on the other hand was scared to death, the photo was so funny we decided to buy it
Having the one scared rider is always funny to look at.
The last time i rode medusa at sfdk was in the back row and my photo looked like i was summoning a demon with my hands up
Lol
i only have one of them from formula rossa
That's a great one.
I rode Kingda Ka with my mom when it first opened. In the photo, it looks like I'm eating a Warhead and my mom looks annoyed for some reason
Nice!
#savesplashmountain
As long as the retheme has as many animatronics and elaborate sets, I think it could be as good if not better.
My favourite onride photo ist me 138.5cm (10years)with paper in my shoes on Expedition Geforce (1.40cm, 12years) after two ride ops had measured me twice
Nice!
I don’t know if I have any on ride photos, there over priced. Especially at cedar fair parks. The only one I might have is a on ride photo of me on the log flume at mi adventure
That's fair that they're usually pricey.
CEO of Slinky Dog
One of my favorite characters.
My mom NEVER saves them
My parents used to like to buy one per year.
on buzz lightyear I got max points becuz I hacked the game so I could get 999,999
I looked up which targets are worth 100K.
Did you just show us vacation pics and disguise it as a coaster video?
Don’t do that... I’ll still give you a thumbs up but... don’t do that!
I thought it would be a unique video among the others I make.
My favorite on-ride photo is the one I got from the first time I rode Steel Curtain at Kennywood. I rode with my dad and we both enjoyed it so much that we HAD to buy the photo to commemorate my first ever ride on Steel Curtain.🎢🎢🎢🎢🤯🤯🤯🤯
Nice!
My favourite one was actually from a Wacky Worm, located at my local park Barry's Amusements. It was taken on my last visit before the park shut down in 2019. In the photo it shows me doing some sort of dab to the camera whilst I look like I'm holding my breath, we all found it so funny that we bought three copies. Unfortunately shortly afterwards the park was abruptly shut down and put in to SBNO, their wacky worm recently got taken down.
At least you have a memorable photo.
@@CanobieCoaster True... Will still miss Barry's though
My favorite is my first time on SteVe... But the one on Skyrush will always be special because it was my 100th credit.
Milestone rides are special.
