I own various pistols I’ve collected over the years. Glocks, SIG, Walther, M&P, etc… out of all my strikers I’ve never shot a pistol better out of the box. My PDP and CZ shoot and feel amazing and are right up there with it but as far as consistency and accuracy goes I do not shoot anything in my collection better personally. I’d feel completely comfortable trusting my life to any of them for carry. But if my life is on the line and I really need to not miss I’d put all my eggs in the VP9 basket for polymer strikers.

I only own 3 handguns. A VP9, A P320 and a CZ 75 P01. I love them all. I added a Wilson Combat grip module, weights, trigger and sights to the P320. Without that the VP9 would outshoot it every time. The VP9 is the better out of box gun.

The VP9 is the best gun of all those. The roll pin on that P01 will fail around 2,000 rounds.

VP9 for me. I have the VP9SK version and I love the ability to change back & side straps to customize the ergonomics. And it has one of the best striker triggers that I have fired. That being said, I do own a couple of Sigs as well. It all comes down to taste and preference.

I’m looking for a full-size 9mm and I’m torn in all different ways pause. At first it was PDP, then the G17, now I’m considering P320 (although I’m weary about the discharge issues it had) and now the VP9🤷🏽‍♂️

I am not sure if it’s just me, but I have yet to find a P320 model-I have tried all releases-with a trigger that I liked. I have multiple iterations of the VP9 line. Looking for the SK optics ready now. My old man eyes require red dots.

I really like the point you made about some of the nuances of a trigger pull disappearing at the range during live fire. I think this is an important note for a lot of people to remember when shopping for a pistol, the better the trigger feels during dry fire, the better it will feelduring live fire. That being said, you’re going to be able to overcome a lot of little inconsistencies in a trigger during live fire.

I had multiple p320s and sold them for vp9 and vp9sk. The HK p30 is still my favorite gun but for a striker fire the VP9 is far superior to the p320. Also not sure if you noticed but in your video there was a noticeable amount of muzzle flip on the p320 compared to the VP9.

The most important feature is Ergonomics. Fit to hand. And the VP9 grip side panels allow you to fully fill the pocket in your palm. Your palm is cupped, not flat. Filling your palm gives you maximum grip contact and control. Genius design. I fit the large right panel, large back stap, and medium left panel for extremely comfortable hand to grip fit. My CZ 75 pre-B and 97, and Walther PDP, are next best fit to hand. The Walther VP9 SK is the best combined with the 15 round magazine with the larger base plate. Completly fills my large hand palm.
    OD Green is my favorite

I owned a sig a few yrs back before the drop safe problem. Mine had the failure to go into battery problem slightly. It didn’t happen every time out to shoot. Finally sold the gun but by chance I had replaced the trigger to apex flat trigger but still not sure how safe it really was. I have researched both the p 320 and p 365 and they seem to have the same problems. Light primer strikes and failure to go into battery. Not in each and every pistol but not sure when it will happen. I’m looking for smaller pocket pistol to carry when walking or out to eat. I’ve looked at all kinds of pistols and like the Glock 43 not 43x but I think if I purchase one then Glock will make a 43 similar ro shadow system cr920. I watch a lot of Hickok45 and he was shooting a sig 365 xl and it had a light primer strike and that is what made me remember about the failure to go into battery stuff. I must be honest in I like the p 365 better in the 9mm In shooting and recoil. I’ve owned several different firearms from xd to sig p320 to sig 226 to glock 19 which is my go to gun right now. I’ve owned a couple of glock 19s and now have gen 5 mos. Never have had a problem with firing just the fit. I’m old school grew up shooting s&w revolvers k frame mostly then a ruger p85 mk II for 20 yrs. And a s&w 642. Just recently sold a first version shield that I had changed the sear to a apex 2 dot sear that helped the trigger a lot. Now I’m looking to replace it and can’t find the right pistol. The shields seem to be a little thin in the handle and hard to keep on target. My hands are xl gloves - long fingers. Thought you might have a suggestion has what to replace the shield with. Thanks in advance, mcfry83.

Both are built like tanks. The ergonomics on the H&K are better. The trigger on the HK seems better when you dry fire but the SIG is really darn good when you're live firing and the HKs trigger can rub you wrong after prolonged periods of firing which doesn't happen with the SIG. Both are accurate as you could need. The SIG is less expensive. Frankly you couldn't go wrong with either. Then again you can't go wrong with a M&P 2.0, CZ P10, or Walther PDP/PPQ.

I own both the Sig P320AXG and the HK VP9 and enjoy both for different reasons. The only draw back for me is the hump on the VP9 back-strap. Even with the small strap, it’s a bit too much. I wouldn’t part with either one.

    VP9 all day

  • @JacksonWalter735
    @JacksonWalter735 2 года назад +1

I think both are great and it really depends on what you are looking for. To me the VP9 is a better stock gun (even though it costs $100 more around me). With the VP9 the ergonomics, trigger, felt recoil, trigger undercut, and backstraps system (including the side panels) are better for me. Past 20 yards I can hit my shots more consistently with better groupings with a VP9 than I could with a P320 Compact. The newer VP9s come with great night sights (not the glow in the dark ones that charge with light), a paddle/button mag release option, and you don't lose your rear sights if you want to get an optic and want to cowitness (some fancier and newer versions of the P320 do come with the new optic system though aside from the P320 Legion).
Now if you care about customizations, aftermarket support, more readily available accessories, more easily obtainable info available with a larger community (took forever to find suppressor height sights for a VP9 compared to the P320), more variations, better value, and especially if you want to take advantage of the modularity, then the P320 is the better choice. It's probably the closest platform out there to Glock (in terms of a striker fired pistol) where you can customize your firearm exactly the way you want it. You could make the trigger, ergonomics, weight, size, and so much more just the way you want it. You can definitely train around the higher bore axis/muzzle rise too.
With the possibilities offered by the Sig P320 and it coming in at a lower price, I would take the Sig P320. Now if Sig could release a 3.9" P320 XCompact since they discontinued the XCarry, I would be happy.

I haven't shot the P320. But I do love my VP9. Enough that I recently added a VP9SK to my collection. I also have a Walther PPQ that I bought after hearing how great the trigger is. The PPQ has not measured up to my expectations. There is deflection in the paddle mag release, and this deflection makes it feel cheap to me. For me at least, I can't say that the trigger on the PPQ is any better. So I will be selling the PPQ.

Why carry a gun that Can go off on it's own. Sig is not a Safe Firearm. You can say you carried one for 2 years with No Issues. Just maybe just maybe a handful parts got passed by their Quality Control Dept & are marginal.
    H&K VP9
    NO COMPROMISE
    Their not called Wings
    Their called Charging Ports
Why do people say after the upgraded trigger they are Now Safe. That's the further from the Truth.
