    I'm going to be watching your channel going forward for sure. Love the tones and love the dialogue. Good stuff dude! Love my helix and glad you feel it's an awesome piece of gear in conjunction with a tube amp because I wholeheartedly agree!

      StefanShredsabit huge thanks. Glad to have you stop by and thrilled you enjoy the channel. Seems like the verdict is people dig the WDW tone with the Helix and the 5150. Nice mix of both. I’ll also do more vids soon with the HX Effects and the EVH LBXII. Thanks again.

    Thanks for sharing, huge and nice. That was can I say a digital version of setup. Would be nice to hear and compare when you play 5150 and take the signal from 5150 send to Helix return so we get an analog-digital version of real thing, you know what I mean. I use this way in live gigs, nice and huge.

    Your tone sounds awesome, but one thing I don't get is you have -9c on pitch on path 1a, then split to path 1b and add +9c pitch. Net result no pitch shift?

      In theory that makes sense (math class was not my forte lol) however think of it like this, one side is 9 cents flat, the other side is 9 cents sharp, then you also have sound straight up the middle. Just gives a huge stereo spectrum. And now you are making me get out the calculator and figure this equation out!! Just kidding, thank you for the compliment and I don't like math lol!!!

    Doug Aldrich used to use Wet Dry Wet when he was with Whitesnake. I was wondering how you could implement WDW live in a club setting? Would you just use only your amp on stage and have the Helix go through the house? What about monitoring on stage, etc.

    Love the tone. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!! The riff on your tune had me feeling Y&T's Mean Streak (which I totally love). Great track Eric.

    This unit has a noise suppressor?

    • @musicgearnetwork
      @musicgearnetwork  5 лет назад +1

      Yes both as an effects block and/or at the input stage as well. If you want to save an effects block, you can enable noise gate at input, with full control of sensitivity, release time etc.

    Eric, that "Runaround" riff that you played at the intro sounds absolutely perfect!

    wow can you please share this patch !!!!!!!

    • @musicgearnetwork
      @musicgearnetwork  6 лет назад +1

      paulcuban for sure I will. There are a couple fixes needed first but then I will gladly put up on Custom Tone.

      Paul, I put two versions up on the Custom Tone site this morning. Eric's patch is slightly modified to incorporate his actual 5150 amp, but you can easily modify the patch for whichever method you plan to run it. Just search "coffeedrinker71" on Custom Tone. There are 3 patches. Enjoy!

      CoffeeDrinker71 wicked thanks for doing that. Something that was acting weird was I stuck a wah in front as normal and it wasn’t playing nice. So once I figure that out I’ll upload. Thanks for all your continued great patches.

      I'll be really anxious to try out your version of the patch too. My Peavey JSX is currently in the shop getting re-tubed, but once it comes back I'll try out a similar rig design to yours with a real amp in the center and the wet monitors in stereo!
