    Mind you Stephen a Smith was also the one who said porzingis was going to be a bust, look at him now, and LeBron may have said he's coming at Phil Jackson but I agree (that unintentionally as it may have been) threw Frank under the bus, he's a great defensive player and can score but is a pass first mindset point guard, he has potential, he has a good looking jump shot that just needs to be worked on, and he can drive he just needs to learn how to drive and score consistently, he will be a good player, in my opinion it's harder to teach someone to be good at defending than to be better at offense.

    • @TheRealH2dut
      @TheRealH2dut 7 лет назад +2

      Haresh Singh he’s pass first because he can’t score. He has to improve his scoring for the knicks to be successful.

    • @thexman6138

      Haresh Singh Defense is all about wanting to play defense you can always teach offense that's why I love this kid 10 steals I'm glad he's on my team

      Tbh Lebron was just speaking that what everybody was thinking too but nobody said it out loud. Dennis Smith JR is a better Player and will be better than Frank. Frank is probably the better fit wirh Porzingis

      People bash him because he is european, but the kid has the potential to be the best point guard in the draft.
      His defense is nothing short of amazing, he is selfless and his offense can be developed.

      Considering about 4 of them came against a broken down, useless D-Wade who tried to deliberately cook a rookie and got fucking embarrassed, who gives a shit? The Knicks acted all tough, talked MAD shit, was dancin' around the court like they were about to win Game 7 of the NBA Finals, and then blew a fucking 23 point lead in their house and still tried to talk tough after the game. Ntilikina is averaging 4.6 ppg, 4.7 apg, 2 rpg and 2 spg while shooting 34% from the floor and 24% from 3 with a 9.77 PER. Ya'll actin like he's the next all-time great or some shit. I got some news for you guys...being a "3 and D" guy requires you to actually be able to shoot a 3-pointer.

      so you saying frank has more potential than dsj?

    • @BTechNickz
      @BTechNickz 7 лет назад +12

      Not necessarily. Dennis Smith Jr is so far showing amazing potential as a scorer, playmaker, and all-around skills, but it is way too early to tell as we are only 5 weeks into the season. Frank Ntilikina is a 6'5 point guard with a 7ft wingspan that has shown tremendous defensive potential. This in itself is why it is way too soon to jump to conclusions. Let's at least wait until the end of this season before we have this conversation.

    • @jasonheffner6291
      @jasonheffner6291 7 лет назад +2

      Stephen A. wrong as usual. Remember he's the guy that laughed at the Knicks for weeks for drafting Zinger. Then, he changed his tune 3 weeks into the season.

  • @JuicyCharon
    @JuicyCharon 7 лет назад +99

    SAS not impressed with Ntilikina? This guy has no clue. The kid is great defensively already and offence is the easiest part to improve on. I remember when SAS said Phil Jackson made a mistake with Porzingis so excuse me if I don't trust his opinion when it comes to rookies.
    Also Lebron clearly stood over Ntilikina and Kanter has to go over there. There's no doubt Lebron was trying to intimidate the kid.

      Fucking easily

    • @JuicyCharon
      @JuicyCharon 7 лет назад +6

      It's way to early to compare Lonzo and Frank. They're different players and they do different things on the court. I think Lonzo has a greater upside on offence even though it's been poor so far and Frank has shown signs of being a great defender. It's whether they both can improve the other half of their game.
      Frank reminds me of Patrick Beverley. Works hard, defends and doesn't look to score loads. Lonzo reminds me of Ricky Rubio. Has great vision on the court but a failing shot. These are just their baseline predictions in my opinion but I expect them to surpass these expectations.

    • @DCL_DAWGS

    • @JuicyCharon

      Tarun Bohra in comparison to defence, I'd say offensive stats are the easiest to improve on. The game is weighted towards offence.

    Stephan A. Smith makes me sick. He calls himself a Knicks fan? He constantly bashes them, it's people like him that the Knicks get the rep they do. Frank was clearly the better pick for the Knicks, although Dennis Smith Jr. Is a better individual player, Frank is more of a team player. He is an amazing defender and a pass first guard. He is the perfect fit for Porzingis.

    As a Knicks fan, I absolutely loved it. Kanter is the man... and Frank too not showing any fear. And really Stephen, you're not impressed with Frank's 10 steals? GTFO. Value of a player extends beyond scoring points, I thought you knew basketball. Saying he's a LIABILITY on offense? What? you don't value assists or selfless play within a system? I'm glad you're not the GM. He's shown he can hit open shots, he just prefers to get his teammates open shots. It's a goddamn breath of fresh air.

    • @jonq8714
      @jonq8714 7 лет назад +45

      Nope. I prefer Frank easily. Frank's defense is elite, he's a better passer, he's 2nd in the league in steals and he's not even starting, he's shooting the same percentage as Dennis Smith too... it's a volume thing. You have one guy looking for his own shot and you have another looking to create for his teammates. I prefer the latter and I am thrilled to have him on the Knicks.

    @wizmanballin8498 7 лет назад +51

    SAS, you need to shut up on this one. You know basketball is a game of matchups, not holistic portrayal. Ntilikina is a fine enough guard for the league. Let's focus on WHAT Lebron did to that kid, and that was bully him on the court. Lebron SHOULD have been called for a delay of game at MINIMUM!!! If this were the playoffs, Draymond did what Lebron did, he would have been called for a technical foul, which can be applied under the circumstances as well.
    Either way, why is EVERYONE always excusing Lebron's antics on the court? He was WRONG! That was personal, not in the game. He knew exactly what he was doing and THAT needs to be addressed. Pretty soon, the rules won't mean ANYTHING to all-star players. ..only everyone else.
    Kanter did exactly what he was supposed to do.

      Lol, go read the rule book. Lebron did not touch the ball, hence no delay of game. Ntilikina (the t isn’t silent, btw) initiated contact. Go watch the clip, lebron didn’t retaliate. I’m not a lebron fan, but you need to be objective

    • @wizmanballin8498
      @wizmanballin8498 7 лет назад +2

      +landry lawson - man, get out of here. You have NOT read the rule book because it CLEARLY states that a player can NOT be impeded after a bucket has been scored and the opposing team's player is impeding the space of that player. Lebron not only bumped the kid after his bucket, he stands over him! What didn't you see about that? Me needing to be objective? Go get your eyes checked bro...

    SAS only down on Frank cause he didnt like him in the draft. I really liked Dennis Smith Jr as a top 5 pick but Frank was a right pick for the Knicks then Smith Jr wouldve been. Knicks needed more Defense, needed a pass 1st PG to feed the Unicorn, and who can shoot the ball when needed (hasnt done it much cause hes not playing enough and is a pass first PG) thats what Frank does well. 5 steals in 15 min (1st half) Knicks look better with Frank on the court. Smith Jr is great but aint gonna win much this yr

I respect SAS opinion on Frank but could u at least watch the guy play before u bash him? He didnt learn from the KP draft

    • @thetonybroomes

      But taking more shots does help with PER. PER has always been a volume scorers' stat. Which is fine. The Knicks don't need a ball dominant point right now though. The Mavs do. If the Knicks had DSJr, they don't blow out the Cavs the first time nor are they up by 23 in this game. Ntilikina's defense is underrated and not many stats cover that. His positioning defensively are well ahead of what I was expecting from a rookie point. He reminds me of young Kawhi that way. In position being a pest to who he's guarding. Now I don't think he has the skill set to make the offensive leap that Kawhi has, but his defensive instincts seems right in line with him. In two more years I think we'll see him reach his full potential.

    Ntilikina is big and strong at just 19, imagine what he could be when he grows into his adult build. He will be scary for opposing PGs. He is also a pass first PG with shooters surrounding him. He will be a high assist guy. Once he gets some confidence on the offensive side he will drive defenses crazy. Ntilikina has a jump shot that will improve and he will be able to finish at the rim with his length. Dennis Smith Jr is better offensively now but doesn't have the PG skills that Ntilikina has. In due time Ntilikina could be the more valuable player, only time will tell. BTW Ntilikina did have 6 steals last night! At 19 he didn't back down from LeBron, that says something about his toughness.
