You're forgetting a few things but I shall add them here: Calus has not been seen by anyone since his trip into the void and the Calus we face in The Leviathan is a robot, one of many in fact. Calus had his scribes create the Chronicron a sort of "fan fiction" of how he sees us acting as his shadow but it nothing more than propaganda. Calus may have ties to the nine but it unclear if he actually communicates with them. Calus's drink is actually made of ground up planets and had we not proven ourselves, Nessus would have been the next brew. Calus also seems to enjoy mocking Mara Sov and has an entire Menagerie encounter dedicated in mocking her.
I imagine his true form to be a giant, fat slug, or a worm. Much like his Leviathan. Drifter is apparently the only one who has actually met the real Calus, and from that meeting, it sounds like Calus has grown into a giant. It also states that his chamber is dusty and eroded due to decades of neglect.

I noticed how differently Calus talks as his appearances went on. In the Leviathan Raid his speech was very exaggerated and joyful but more recently in his appearance in the season of the haunted his speech is very low growling and intimidating as if the character he played as the ‘opulent’ emperor that looked to sway us has served its purpose and the real Calus is showing through
I personally believe he's not that smart. He might be intelligent beyond anything humans could be, butb personality-wise, he's just a beast. I reckon he does drop the "oppulent emperor" guise, but not consciously or intentionally
Something important to notice at 3:38 is how Calus states, "There is power in this universe beyond your feeble light. I'll leave you with those words," implying that perhaps Calus might have known about the pyramids early on. Probably a stretch, but I thought it was cool, considering how Calus was used in Lightfall.
The reason Calus came to the Solar System was because of his chance encounter with the Witness at the “edge of the void”. It isn’t a stretch, that’s literally the lore behind Calus during his exile.

Same, I'm on PS4.
With Calus making his full reappearance in Lightfall they should totally reprise Leviathan at some point. I want the armor so bad.
I'd do the entire raid for no rewards just to watch that awesome intro to the raid again
