Goodness, I am so overwhelmed. I grew up with Batman comics in the 90s when I was a kid wish I would’ve kept my collection. I remember giving them to my cousin when I was younger. I just started getting back into Batman as an adult and want to collect from knightfall to now and I had no idea how complex it is with your detective comics, your dark Knight, Allstar, eternal the different resets. I basically got a little bit from each of the runs ha
Josh is a great host, just finished Superman #1, it was a blast, he knows how to write good stories with fitting voice for every character in that book
I really enjoy Josh's enthusiasm. I'm the kind of person where knowing more of a creators personality makes me like their work more. I already liked his, but it's good to know he's excited and genuine with his work and not just cashing in for a check.
Hell yeah! I'm down with once a month chats with Joshua Williamson. Hook is one of my all time favorite childhood movies. It's also one of my wife's favorites. We quote it all the time and watch it with our kids at least once or twice a year.
Loved the discussion on the comic collection/purge - I also sold my collection years ago (kept a bunch of trades) - kinda miss it but also happy I got rid of it (donated a lot of books too so hopefully it went to new readers to enjoy).
That Peter Pan idea is fantastic Josh! Funny thing is, when I was young I went to Mexico and there was a dinner on a pirate ship thing. Our Captain was Jack Sparrow. And at the end of the dinner another ship that’s as passing latched on and invaded our ship! It was Hook! Pirates from our ship went to theirs and much to our surprise we got to watch the two sides sword fight complete with sparks. It was a really fun experience.
Does this make Joshua Williamson an unofficial host of ComicPOP? 😂 BTW I’ll be picking up Superman #1 today, Superman is tied with Spider-man as my favourite superhero, but I sadly haven’t enjoyed reading him for a while, but I can’t wait for this new run
Hearing these guys talk about their comic collection has me dreaming of when I’ll have a comics library of my own. Can’t wait to read Superman 1 when I’m able
I too put my comics in chronological order by when they take place. By publisher by universe. It can definitely be infuriating but the puzzle of it is so fun
I'm so excited to pick up Superman #1 eventually. Unfortunately, my LCS is now trade only due to construction making deliveries a lot harder then they already were.
First off I Love the question Joshua Williams asked what order do you put your Batman books in? What I actually do for my entire collection is I first categorize them by publisher, then I categorize it by alphabetical name of character and then I actually put them in order of when the story takes place so, for example, my Batman books, I keep all the Pre 52 all lined up first then all of the new 52, DC rebirth timelines and then I go in order of standalone books and alternate universe stories, and I arrange those in order of when they were first published.
I never found any Typos in Williamsons Flash but I did see a lettering error in the Flash Age trade where Eobard is saying Barry's lines and Barry is saying Eobards I think it was in Flash 754
My feelings fot Hook: the 6 year old in me loved it but the grown-up in me was annoyed by the way the characters were treated in the story. It's like the writers were making fun of them instead of having fun WITH them. Just me I guess.
I make it a point not to read DC comics anymore. It's just a mess to me and I don't like a lot of the decisions made since like Damian was created But damn I really enjoyed Superman #1 It's going to be excruciating having to wait month to month for each issue Art was great Characterization was so enjoyable That last page... it got me I want the collected volumes of this run already so I can read it all in one go I haven't felt superman has been where he should be in quite some time. Even when I was enjoying the bendis run until the event Leviathan and the identity revival on top of the aging up of Jon was 3 strikes. I felt like I was brought back to a character I thought I would never return too thank you
Sal has such chemistry with major creators.

Saw it was uploaded before I even got the notification! “All Stars”, nice title choice guys.
"But when are we gonna get subterranean monsters again?"
"ISSUE FOUR!"

The movie Hook is awesome and Sal and Josh can interweave comic talk and Hook talk until the death of the internet as far as I am concerned
Love me some Joshua Williamson, so I’m glad he’s coming on board for a monthly podcast with Sal.
Monthly show with Williamson? Nice!
I love the new issue #1, it's bright and beautiful and makes me feel optimistic for the rest of the Superman series. Gorgeous art by Jamal Campbell!
The dynamic between Sal and Josh is just outstanding. I WISH this could be a weekly show.
I was more surprised to learn that people think Hook was a bad movie, than I was to learn that the Goonies apparently didn't age well.
Really? Hook has been said to be bad by people for years. I strongly disagree with that. I’ve only ever seen one person say the Goonies was bad.
@bingly bingler Well yes, it’s all just online with the negativity where I’ve also never met anyone who doesn’t like Hook.
@@DanV900 Deconstructing 80s/90s nostalgia is big buisness these days. It comes with your demo turning 30 I think.

I really, really enjoy the Sal/Josh chats. Looking forward to next one. Also shout out to Josh who wrote a really enjoyable Superman #1 this week
🎵 HEY NOW 🎶
I love that with people like Josh or Tom King its just Sal chatting with his besties.
Loved the discussion on the comic collection/purge - I also sold my collection years ago (kept a bunch of trades) - kinda miss it but also happy I got rid of it (donated a lot of books too so hopefully it went to new readers to enjoy).
before I even start I want to say that All stars is a perfect name for this podcast!

This deserves a lot more likes! That's a great story!
'Hook' was a great movie.
One of my favorite Robin Williams films.
Great interview guys and this was tons of fun especially seeing both you and Joshua Williamson talk about Superman and the ultimate marvel universe.
Just wanted to let you guys know that based on this episode alone I went to my LCS and bought superman #1. Good job guys
All Star Sal and Josh return! Love it. Keep up the great work!
Awesome show guys, really enjoying hearing you two talk
Does this make Joshua Williamson an unofficial host of ComicPOP? 😂 BTW I’ll be picking up Superman #1 today, Superman is tied with Spider-man as my favourite superhero, but I sadly haven’t enjoyed reading him for a while, but I can’t wait for this new run
I would say since he's the regular co-host of this show, that makes him an official one.
I love the Josh and Sal show so much! This felt like a conversation between me and my best friend
Totally Groovy Baby!!
Hearing these guys talk about their comic collection has me dreaming of when I’ll have a comics library of my own. Can’t wait to read Superman 1 when I’m able
You all-stars get your games on, and get paid.
Also; Linkara taught me about how terrible Marville was.
I too put my comics in chronological order by when they take place. By publisher by universe. It can definitely be infuriating but the puzzle of it is so fun
I do the same. It's just cool to see it like a timeline instead of the same ol same ol alphabetical shelves
Hook was a flop? How? That film was amazing!
Bangerang!
This is awesome and I already can't wait for the next one!
At this point every Comicpop video is a welcome addition to my week 🙂
There is no order 😂 preach. I organize my Batman by author. That’s as organized as I can get.
I'm so excited to pick up Superman #1 eventually. Unfortunately, my LCS is now trade only due to construction making deliveries a lot harder then they already were.
I’m barely 2 minutes in and just have to say I fkn love Hook. One of a handful of Spielberg movies I really love.
Hook was probably my favorite movie growing up. Haven't watched it since Robin died though. Still listen to the soundtrack pretty regularly though.
I need to rewatch hook haven't seen it since I was a kid
Hook meant so much to me growing up. Have it on Blu-ray watch it at least once or twice a year.
Hook is still a fantastic watch. Spielberg, Williams perfect pairing
Also Joshua Williams I LOVED your Robin run, you actually made me like the character Damien Wayne.
Loving this new show! Its just a fun chat.
Let’s goooo josh every month is the best
What a fun discussion!
Hook was fun the one time I've seen it.
Speaking of close encounters. I just watched the documentary close encounters of the 5th kind.. sal should def check it out
Haven’t read a lot from Josh but I’m excited for his superman
Yooo wait once a month… love it
Loving this

I loved the issue. Just fantastic.
I really like the movie Hook lol! Watched it a lot when I was younger :)
Also, I really enjoy the movie Hook.
This video convinced my to pick up superman floppys again. Probably should have had a superman thumbnail
Why? You watched it, and you bought a Superman book. Sounds like it's working perfectly.
@@comicpopreturns I wish there more people to speak up for superman and the fans of the character. That's all I meant
Absolutely love Hook!
I love Hook and have only ever seen people say it’s bad online. No one I’ve ever met in real life has said it’s bad.
I was listening to the Tom King ome when it went private.. maybe cause he said Babylon wasnt good....
Love the channel thanks so much for these great interviews!
I love Hook
I pirates/hook crossover would def be interesting
Hook is a great movie but some of the moments are much more chilling than they should be knowing what happens to Robin Williams.
My feelings fot Hook: the 6 year old in me loved it but the grown-up in me was annoyed by the way the characters were treated in the story. It's like the writers were making fun of them instead of having fun WITH them. Just me I guess.
Nice conversation.
please do a back issues on some silver age batman stories. they are so silly
it was an goat movie of it time set boxoffice records
Love this show
Hook was a real banger…ang
Love hook
I like Hook. Poor Rufio...
I make it a point not to read DC comics anymore. It's just a mess to me and I don't like a lot of the decisions made since like Damian was created

I really enjoyed Superman #1

thank you
Dc don't have to cut parts out from the no man's land story they could just do two parts to it like they did with the long Halloween animated movie
I would just make No Man’s Land an animated series.
O shit this is actually monthly?
Cassie in a showcase format or lion king 1 1/2 it?
:0 war games
is Joel...from capedjoel ... not returning? :(
This isn't his show.
@@comicpopreturns Oh yes Right now I see it. Will look out for Elseworld Exchange next time. Just missed him a lot :)
Engagement and interaction with creator to please the mathemagics that choses what gets seen or not.
Hook is literally my favorite Harry Potter movie and I just miss robin Williams Peter Pan
