- The time has come, I'm selling my AMG GT R Pro! After nearly 2 years and lots of fun, with the recent arrivals of the two Black Series cars, it's time for the Pro to head on and here are the reasons why I've made that decision, despite considering to keep it.

I collected the limited edition Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro back in late 2019, as an update to my then 2-year old pre-facelift AMG GT R and with intentions to enjoy on track during 2020. However, those outings to Spa, Zandvoort, Ascari and Portimao could not happen with the travel restrictions that quickly came in, but fortunately some good Nurburgring outings were still on the cards.
The Pro has often been a misunderstood car because it's very track focused and really rewards you in that environment. It was very interesting to do some laps in the GT R Roadster more recently and realise quite how significant the difference is. However, while I'd love to keep the 1-of-750 car, with some many AMGs in the garage at the moment it's quite a stretch and hence the decision has been made for it to be sold.
Hence, join me for the last drive, a bit of a farewell to a great car, as it will soon head onwards to a new home to be enjoyed by a new owner.

In the garage for nearly two years, it's incredible how quickly that time has flown by. More track time would have been perfect but 2020 didn't exactly go to plan and now with the arrival of the GT and C63 Black Series models it's time for the Pro to depart. It'll be sad to see it go!

Never forget how he upgraded to 760 hp, then took it out on the nurbugring circuit in the wet then out on the autobahn later that evening.....

This is a big move! I certainly remember my drive in your GTR pro on the Nuerburgring and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I understand why you’re selling it but what a masterpiece it was. On to bigger and better things :-)

when shmee said that he has owned the gtr pro for almost 2 years now i legit had to pause and question life, it honestly feels like u just got it a couple of months ago, cant believe 2 years have gone by so fast

The most desirable Naturally Aspirated V12 on the market right now... the V12 with glorious sound & got shmee impressed quickly.

I actually sat in a GTR Pro at Goodwood FoS 2019. Loved that grey/lime combo but I was a little too big for the bolstering on those seats.
Thank you Tim for taking the time to bring light to what is happening in Germany. I've been posting to everyone that has done laps around the ring to try and get more people talking about it. Misha and the Apex family have been working hard to help everyone. I'm so happy I started watching him and I don't think I would have if it would t have been for Shmee so thank you. Was your place in Germany affected at all?
One of my favourite Shmee cars . Never got enough air time. . It makes sense now the black series is here .

@@deezelkane He sold the blue 675lt because the spider was coming which was the version he wanted but they hadn't said that they were making one.
He sold the porsche because it wasn't really his thing and he needed 250k for the Ford GT deposit.
The Mercedes he has had for 2 years now and lost probably half of the value so I wouldn't call that car flipping.

Hey Tim when the restrictions ease off please plan a trip to India you will be amazed by some amazing roads and landscape and also recently India opened the Asia's largest test facility with 11 km oval high-speed track
I also wish that I could go over to Germany to help in any way possible, Tim. I have followed the story on Micha's channel since it broke and each upload is more worrying than the previous. The work that Micha and Apex are doing in the cleanup effort is just amazing along with everyone else and the emergency services. The camaraderie and teamwork of the people from the Eifel area is a wonder to behold and should act as a model for other nations to follow.

I guess my feedback would be - none of the other AMG’s come close to the Red Roadster, if Jessica Rabbit was alive today she’d be driving one. To me it’s the sweet spot, more money = less appealing car.

Kinda not sad to see this go if I’m completely honest. With both the roadster and black series, it seemed a little redundant in the fleet. And we all know the room it’s leaving will allow something we don’t know about to fill it.

Not surprised at all. You bought into the GTR, GTR-pro, GTR-pro vert to get in line for the black series we all knew was coming. Time to let one of the Pros go and you tend to be a fan of the verts so I knew that the GTR-pro vert was gonna be staying for a while longer. Looking forward to see if you can complete your black series collection with the other 3 BS cars. Waiting for the GTR BS to get the break in mileage done with so you can take it out for a spirited drive finally. I know it has to be painful to hold back for these miles.

Glad to see the updated comments on the flooding watching Misha's video it looks absolutely horrific. Terrible for Germany. However in the videos I do see a good sense of community making the best of a bad time.
It’s sad to see the GTR Pro go, but it is awesome to see the GT Black Series, SLS Black Series, GTR Roadster, G63, and C63 Black Series in the garage! Can’t wait to see what the new Black Series cars and what the GTR Roadster does.

It's too simular to the black series , at half the price of the black series and 95% of its ability I know which one id shift on.

Really Really sad to see this one go, I've started to follow the channel up close once you got this because at the time I was working at Mercedes and saw a GT-R Pro that I fell in love with, and I have always loved yours as well. Very sad but on to bigger and better things, but bring the GTBS to Portimao and Estoril since the Pro couldn't make it hahaha

The GTR pro colour is definitely a shade darker than the C63, i noticed it just before you said it hahah!

In absolute awe of this collection, you must be an incredibly successful person.

Agree the GTR Pro is redundant now that the Black Series is in the garage. The GTR Roadster can be used now that the speed software glitch has been resolved. It should be a nice car to drive on the rare sunny days in the UK or to take to the south of France or Spain.

The depreciation on the AMG still seems much higher than it’s competitors!
It would be the roadster for me to go, but I think it’s due to my hatred of convertibles and roadsters and generally anything that the roof can remove, and also the c63 really looks at home there and not out of place next to so many supercars.
For me personally the pro is the car I love the most of the 3. I love that white on the meaner aero and the adjustability of the suspension for me being more mechanical is my thing. The noise of the pro is much better than the flat crank bs.
I actually think I understand the car however, technically the top of the line gtr being the most track focused variant as the bs is 'just' a gt. Yeah it's definitely a no brained what I'd have

If he gets his hands on the 3 black series left I have no complains whatsoever. But that was the one spec I like the most of all his fleet, plain an simple black an white.
I preferred the AMG GTR that you had as it was natural sound rather than muted but I'm sad to see the Pro go as it 's an awesome car

Shmee is one of the best people to buy a 2nd hand car from, you just know it has been well looked after
3000 miles, well maintained and a top of the range Topaz PPF, surely it holds it's money better than most in it's resale figures.

These are going to be so desirable in a few years. I can see why right now you’d want to get rid of it instead of the roadster but 10 years from now this is the car people are going to want.
