      Since Majin Buu is a magic based being his power fluctuates depending on the circumstances. Mainly his mental state along with the Supreme Kais influence as well as him splitting in two like Kami and Piccolo did.
      Kid Buu had the potential to rival if not surpass Super Buu (even when he had absorbed Gohan) but the little guy was more concerned with having fun fighting Goku and Vegeta. And when he spit out Good Buu he lost a good chuck of his power. Grant he still would have been killed by the Spirit Bomb anyway.

      Dabura was initially a good guy, but we should take into account his actions since Babidi was amplifying the evil in his heart, similar to what he did with his other minions and Vegeta. Both Dabura and Vegeta demonstrated resistance to Babidi's control. Dabura tried to eliminate Buu when he recognized the threat Buu posed, and he also challenged Babidi regularly.

    And here's one more: Beerus wasn't actually linked to Shin until Elder Kai was released from the Z Sword. We saw in the Goku Black arc that a Kai doesn't become the Supreme Kai until the current Supreme Kai promotes them (when Zamasu was temporarily promoted to Supreme Kai to use the time rings), therefore, Shin was never actually promoted to Supreme Kai until Elder Kai was set free from the sword and acknowledged him as Supreme Kai. This is why Beerus didn't care about anything going on in the universe until recently after that, because the real Supreme Kai was safe inside the sword, and thus Beerus was safe too. One of the reasons Beerus is staying awake and active, and grooming Vegeta to be his replacement is because he's now linked to Shin, who is a relative weakling compared to so many mortals in Universe 7, and Beerus can't relax knowing he could die because someone looked at Shin too hard and he died.

      @@rachelparker335 Because that's just how it works: only Supreme Kai apprentices possess healing powers. Besides, not every Namekian gets those: that's limited to those from the Dragon Clan, which may be the majority, but it's not guaranteed that it will be great or even manifest at all.

    • @HayatoByakurai
      @HayatoByakurai 27 дней назад

      @@rachelparker335 The Piccolo we see for most of the series is genetically different from the one who split from Kami. His father was from the Dragon Clan, and it should go without saying that those can birth Namekians from either clan.
      The Cooler movie shouldn't be taken into consideration, and the "healing" of Roshi is more about performing first-aid than bringing him back from the brink of death. Regardless, neither of the two instances matter for this topic, as it's brought up in the same manga where Goku only possesses minor self healing capabilities.
      The Yardrat are a race devoted to spirit control, meaning they possess all sorts of abilities. Even then, healing is a high level technique, whereas Instant Teleportation (an undeniably rare power) is part of the fundamentals. Majin Buu is a magical being whose innate regeneration can only be matched by straight up immortality, yet that might be due to his absorption of the Grand Supreme Kai. Bringing up Heroes characters doesn't help you for obvious reasons, but you must agree that even there you don't see healers left and right.
      TL;DR: You're using the abundance of relevant characters who are capable of healing as an excuse to make light of the ability itself, despite the fact that it's established that only the best of the best races can employ it to a relevant degree. Besides, Supreme Kais not possessing it is simply how it's written; you can say that it's stupid, but you can't say that they actually do just because you said so.

    • @HayatoByakurai
      @HayatoByakurai 27 дней назад

      @@rachelparker335 You really feel confident with saying Piccolo is a carbon copy of his father just because of being a reincarnation, despite the fact that their Namekian abilities don't overlap and that Majin Boo was reborn as a human.
      You thought that was a question? I even started it with a negative statement. Fine, I'll entertain you with sources you should've looked up instead of arguing as if this were headcanon. Dragon Ball Super chapter 24, page 7 (155 in volume 4): "Lord Gowas, never in my life have I regretted becoming the Lord of Lords as much as I do now... If I had chosen to remain as the apprentice to the old Kaiôshin, I would still have the power of restoration..." Need I mention the context?
      You can return a heart to beating with CPR, and you can reverse the effects of drowning through mouth to mouth resuscitation. Does that give you the right to call yourself a healer, and to claim you've cured whoever survives thanks to your actions? Before you take this as a genuine question too, no, you don't.
      Let me get this straight. *Anime* Goku brought Roshi back from overexertion due to a Kamehameha. Even then, the latter dropped out of the ring of his own accord shortly after; so much for healing, huh? Even if Goku's aid had brought him to an even better state than consuming a Senzu, the fact of the matter is that none of this applies to *manga* discussions, which are the only place where the healing performed by a Kai is explored. In the manga, the only instance where Goku ever heals anybody is when he gets himself back to fighting shape after getting one shot by Granolah.
      Of course the Yardrat as well as Namekians are special. You seem really worked up about an inexperienced Kaioshin not knowing powers analogous to those that only the best among those races can perform, even though you take no issue with the multitude of powers that are way more widespread that he never displays. Why won't Shin make Dragon Balls? Why won't he create clones of himself? Why won't he turn giant? Why can't he fuse without the Potara? Why can't he open portals to a place of his choosing? Those are all abilities that a much larger portion of those races (and one hedgehog race that Saganbo's goons came across, for the last) can perform and that would be useful, yet are never even considered by him.
      About that last paragraph, I'll explain why most races we see are special: plot; Namekians especially so, given that they come from the Demon Realm (the same can be argued about the Yardrats, though it's not confirmed). The story wouldn't be as interesting if the several races that monopolize the most impressive techniques present in the series took a backseat to a cast of your average Joes, now would it? The protagonist himself is part of an ever growing race with progressively more abilities; like before, that's just how the writing works.
      For the last point, I didn't say that Majin Buu got the ability to heal from the Grand Supreme Kai. Given his magical nature, it would be perfectly fine to assume every form has those capabilities, yet only Mr Buu uses them because he's the only good one of the bunch. However, the fact is that there is no other case of regeneration (on self) and healing (on others) coming from the same source, so it's a possibility (though the Grand Supreme Kai has never performed it on panel).
      I'm not building an argument out of thin air. I'm bringing up facts that you willingly disregard in order to make your case. If Shin's capabilities (or lack thereof) are inconsistent, that's the story's fault, not mine.

      I'm not sure if Toriyama ever used it but in some old cultivation stories, which is what Journey to the West sort of was and Dragon Ball was a parody of Journey to the West, getting strong enough basically gives you your own personal atmosphere. I thought of that when Battle of Gods had Goku and Beerus fighting at least at the edge of the stratosphere.

      I like to imagine since Goku has been shown being able to designate between people based on there energy signature that there has to be some degree of visibility about the stability of the users mental state as well as the state of there spirit. As Buu absorbed people he gained there power but it also rounded his spirit and mind out a bit. When he lost it and went back to kid Buu his mind and spirit returned to an unstable raw and unpredictable state of chaos. This he’s on another levels because any semblance of reason was now gone. They could sense how chaotic and unstable Kid Buu was. He may not be as strong but they knew fighting him would be less like a boxing match and more like tangling with a feral animal.

    my theory for the supreme kai and beerus being linked is that his life force is linked to that divine ki, not their lives directly, so when the rest of the Universe 7 kais were killed, beerus lost a gread deal of divine ki, that would explain why Beerus naps for years and sleeps for centuries

    • @welshlout3400
      @welshlout3400 4 месяца назад +1

      That’s a cool idea that imo runs into a slight wrinkle. If divine ki is the true link to Beerus’ life force (and by extension, all the other Gods of Destruction), it would probably additionally take the destruction of the World Core to actually kill the God of Destruction. That’s probably not a difficult job for someone who has already slain the Supreme Kais, but we didn’t hear about Goku Black going full genocide on the Shin-Jin race, only that he targeted the Kais.

    theory: the Potara fusion was always set to 1 hour for mortals, the Elder Kai found by accident because of the old which, and Shin, the last Supreme Kai alive was the youngest one without much training or instructions, so no one was realistically able to know how the ins and outs of the Potara works, also would explain the earrings color inconsistency, the Supreme Kai said the green Potara are only for Kaioshin, and yellow / blue are for apprentice / assistants and while they could have different roles in different universes, it makes sense that Shin was not fully trained as a Supreme Kai / Kaioshin because he fled from Buu in a panic before Earth even existed in that universe

    I think the supreme Kai theory makes sense even within the context of super as well, the fact that his presence can be pulled out of himself by buu, effectively switching places makes sense in the theory of the Kai’s becoming just one with buu only buu is the true controller of all that power, eventually when uub and buu merge and either uub dies a human death or dies in battle then the Kai’s will finally return to the afterlife.

  • @athosgomesfonseca

    Majin Buu in his original form being stronger than his Super Buu form is not a theory but an issue of representation. Buu is quite simply never stronger nor weaker, his an absorption technique is a defensive mechanic and magic ability. He appears more powerful because of styling, it’s not even a matter of gaining others powers and abilities since he demonstrates the same uncanny ability as Goku to mimic abilities on sight. The real divide is intelligence. In his pure form, he was still a kid and primal, so he wasn’t exactly versed in his abilities but rather was a force of nature. As he absorbed the Kaioshin, he was essentially “purified” by their nature becoming more docile. When he split himself in two, the primal side could be said what split and the two were equals except one could argue Mister Buu as he would be hence called, was left exhausted by the magic of purging himself from all the aggression, savagery, et al and the new entity on absorbing “himself” became an adult version of his original self since eons had passed. As Super Buu absorbed more and more people, he then became more specialized but then, on being complete separated from everyone, he reverted back to his “original” form and was still just as powerful but because he was going against trained fighters in Goku and Vegeta, they won over his sheer brute strength and magic since he was essentially an unruly child with unfathomable power.

      I think Piccolo would've been stronger to begin with, when he and Kami fused. They probably would have been close to the same power at least - but Piccolo has individually gotten stronger, and that included him fusing with Nail - which made him much stronger - so it would seem to be the nameless namekian (give or take a little power) plus Nail fusing with him.

    I can't remember who Geekdom101 had on years ago, but he speaks fluent Japanese... Anyway he said that based on what was written in Japanese it's completely up to opinion, but Kid Buu is clearly said to be more dangerous than any other Buu.
    Kid Buu is mocked by Vegeta and Goku at first sure, but in context Kid Buu at that point is calm which we later come to find out is not a defining characteristic of Kid Buu. His power is never referenced to his other personas again. He's clearly more sadistically careless than Super Buu so, who cares if Super Buu or Super Buu's Buuhan absorbtion was stronger?

    Consider this. Buuhan is stronger than Kid Buu. Yet Kid Buu curbstomps Buuhan every time. BH has the power but wouldn't get/take advantage of the opportunity to finish KB. Whereas KB would use BH as a punching bag all day long.
    Whether this goes on like this depends on how capable BH is of learning, adapting, and growing stronger. Or, KB getting bored and doing something crazy like magic'ing out those who make up BH's current form.

    I treat people who think that Kid buu is more powerful than Buuhan the same as flat earthers. Goku and Vegeta needed to fuse to beat Buuhan. It was a necessity. Goku and Vegeta thought they could hold their own against kid buu. Of course he turned out to be more of a challenge, but it wasn’t impossible how they viewed Buuhan. It’s right there in front of everyone’s face.
