I remembered my instructor at my old school (before Epic) had me try to fly while looking down at my lap to make me get disorientated and try to recover. Just simple "turn right/left" and "climb/descend to an altitude" was all it took. I recovered before he told me to because I started to feel unsafe, but it was still a very interesting experience.
A lot of the videos on UAR I don't feel explain the recovery technique well. Really it's just: 1) Look at the AH as this will tell you within a second which way to roll and pitch. 2) Immediately after this, and just as you begun to correct the attitude, look to your airspeed - if low, add power. If high, reduce power.
Anyone who wants to be a professional pilot should get some basic Aerobatic instruction to include spins. 10-15 hours in a Decathalon or better will suffice. It's ten times the training that simple unusual attitude training. As Calvin G Bass used to tell me "Aerobatics teaches competence and confidence. True in 1984. True today.

Thank you epic ✈
Soar high!
In the blue, power through. In the brown power down.
Blue = power, nose down, wings level.
Brown = power, wings level, nose up.
@@DMacDaddy "In the brown power down" - until your instructor throws you a curve-ball of nose down with low airspeed.

Why increase power first as opposed to lowering the nose then increasing power in a nose up/decreasing airspeed situation?
