The last time we were in Orlando when it started raining as we were driving down 192, I said boldly ' It's just a passing shower ' low and behold it poured down heavily all day and night and ever since my stepdad mocks me whenever it rains saying " oh is it just a passing shower? "

We arrived in Florida September 17, 2022 and got hit with Hurricane Ian the week after. Heck of a welcome😂. Now, we're preparing for our first Florida summer and I am so beyond grateful we have a pool haha. We definitely enjoyed the Florida winter for sure!! So far so good! Hopefully the hurricanes (if we get one) won't be super bad this year. I guess we'll just be adjusting from blizzards to hurricanes lol. Great video! 😊

We moved to the Tampa Bay area from New Jersey March 2021 and the weather was beautiful!! As summer approaches it gets hotter and more humid. Then comes rainy season and we practice reverse hibernation from winters up North!! While we stay in A/C a lot from June to October, we do not miss the cold and snow at all. Love these moving to Orlando updates!!

It’s a good thing I like being hot and walking in the rain! 😃
… I live here and am in the parks constantly and I agree with everything you said. Most people don’t understand our wild weather until they get here and experience it themselves so this is a great heads up!

We were just there April 22nd-29th, and it was hot, but I love summer! What we didn't expect was getting caught in a terrible hail storm, minor truck and camper damage. Thought we were in a tornado for sure! We will not be staying in Clermont again!

I am on my way July 1st to be exact so the countdown begins 😅 My last baby is turning 17 right after fourth of July. So it makes sense to just enjoy all the festivities and already be moved in. Now that it is starting to really warm up in Charlotte, NC I am getting out at daily, to get use to the rising temperatures to come lol. Thanks so much for all the tips , and I have been thinking long and hard but your videos over the months really helped with the overall decision to just go for it, enjoy the journey ahead.

I went this year in March and the weather was great yet in 2020 I went to August and it was crazy hot. Gonna go in July and hoping its better than August. Thanxs for the video.

Great video as always guys! We are preparing for our first summer (and hurricane) here after moving from California last November. The biggest adjustment for me as a native Californian is the humidity. We are retirees living an hour north of you in The Villages, and whenever we’re at WDW we swear it’s more humid there than here. Can 60 miles really make a difference in the humidity levels??? I’m guessing not, lol. It’s probably the body heat from the crowds, and the heat rising from the hot surfaces at the parks. We were at MK last week for just 4.5 hours and were done. We headed home to swim. Of course being 70 doesn’t help. 😂 Thankfully we have AC in our home, garage, and enclosed lanai, but now have to hope for no power outages. 🙏🤞🏻

Yeah, the humidity is definitely present here! Welcome to Florida and let’s all hope for a calmer hurricane season

Great video as usual! One observation. Yes sometimes the temp in Oklahoma may be higher than in Florida but that really doesn't mean much. We have the constant humidity here that makes it so uncomfortable. For instance...I'd much prefer 105 degrees in say, Arizona than 85 degrees in Florida.

We actually compare the real feel temps, so what we were saying was it’s actually frequently hotter in Oklahoma, but with the humidity in Florida, the heat index is about the same as OK.

Ha ha we did that we moved from NY to Florida in June - ya it was a shock but wee are still here 10 years later!

Thanks for this advice! If you are staying off property, do you have to pay for parking twice if you visit the park in the morning and return to the same park later in the late afternoon?

The temperature in Oklahoma is a dry heat, here in Florida it might only say it is 95 outside but the real feel is 116.

Yes, we compare the heat index and the temperature, taking humidity into account

Just came to Orlando last week. For WDW…It was sooo hot and miserable the last night we were there, it was raining so hard I got drenched. Still had an amazing time

Yeah. It’s definitely the wet season right now. Ironically, it’s hotter where we moved from in Oklahoma 🤷‍♂️
