In 1981, six years after joining Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks went solo for the first time with her debut album ‘Bella Donna’. A massive success, it sold more than five million copies in the U.S., topped the album charts and produced four hit singles, including her signature anthem, "Edge Of Seventeen." More platinum albums followed - ‘The Wild Heart’ (1983), ‘Rock A Little’ (1985), and ‘The Other Side Of The Mirror’ (1989).
In 2019, Stevie Nicks made history by becoming the first female artist inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice - first as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998, and most recently in recognition of an extraordinary solo career that spans nearly 40 years. - Видеоклипы
Imagine... Stevie Nicks wrote those words over 30 years ago... She definitely was ahead of her time... She definitely walks on a higher level of the universe than most of us..
She wrote the song almost 50 years ago now!
Great song writing was almost exclusively from over 30 years ago. NOTHING has been great in music and it's deliberate. Music transcends everything, literally everything, and the absolute snakes in power can't have people coming together, can they
For many years I have been a great follower and fan of Stevie Nicks, and for a long time I pondered what this beautiful song meant to me. It was just about this time of year 13 years ago when I lost my father. A man that taught me so much about life, love and being me. When he passed I felt such a deep and profound loss. One night shortly after his death, I heard this song and it finally came to me. My father's passing was not so much a loss but it was a beginning of what I know now was a new course in my life. I realized that sometimes we must let go of something so precious that is tears away at the fabric of our life, so we can begin to rebuild and start anew. Many times that fresh start if filled with trials and many heartaches of loss and mourning. But if we can somehow grasp and hold on to that small something new, we can re-invent who we are.
+Mark Yasaitis That is so true.. My Dad passed away 5 years ago and life did change and I am changed ..its all good..God Bless:)
Hold on to the memories.
Beautifully expressed.
Mark Yasaitis my dad died otober 6 2016 this song means more to me now than ever before i miss my dad sooo much
Mark Yasaitis You hit it right on the mark...

My dad has been a victim of Alzheimers for many years now. This song is special to us for many reasons as a family. So thank you very much. Your music has given us so much peace and comfort in hard times. Your father would be so proud of you.
I work at an amphitheater and she performed last night. Honestly Im only 18 and had never heard of Stevie but after last night I can say she is really an amazing artist with a beautiful talent. Im so glad I got to see her for free front row, its a concert I wouldn't have paid for myself since I didn't know who she was but im glad I got to go now! This was the last song she played and youtube isn't doing her justice!
28 now how do you feel ?
Damn right, I'm 58 and grew up with her music, and today I just can't get enough of her, love her voice.
63be 54oct listening to music on RUclips watching her lifts my spirit
I dedicate this song to my daughter Jess. Today, at the age of 35, she found out she has breast cancer. Three years ago I went through breast cancer. Spilling personal things here, but I want to put good vibes out there for her and others. This song is one of our favorites. Stevie and Carly seem to be able to solve most problems in the world. 💜🦋💜
A song that will transcend for generations to come.
Scotty N funeral song

What a beautiful tribute to her parents...made me cry;
A Beautiful Tribute Indeed, Made Me Cry As Well !!
+Frances Dunaway This song was written for Lindsey but it was her father's favourite song
+mary88stella1 And Yes a beautiful tribute to her parents who supported her music.
Frances Dunaway it’s about the group
OH MY GOD,THIS SONG ALWAYS REMINED ME OF MY MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perfect rendition of a wonderful song. The photos of Stevie's dad make the video very special, but sad. Reminded me of my dad in his last few years. Nothing prepares you for the slow decline of your parent's health. You think they'll stay strong and live forever, but that's not how it ends.
i hear you.
This song and Stevie Nicks are like fine wine. They get even better with age.
So true
Indeed Alto voices are exactly like that. Looooove the gorgeous dark colour she has now! Looks and sounds BETTAH THAN EVAH!
Mom dunno she was a babe in her 20s
She is the fuckin. Balks. Ca n rt. Decide. If. I like or 💘 dixie chicjs version Better. Ill habmve to call it a TIE. Becausr shes tgmhe original. But dixue chicjcs. Is a phenimibmnal

I have been a big big fan of Stevie Nicks for many decades. I was only 3 yrs. old when she joined Fleetwood Mac back in 1973. If anybody has the opportunity to see her in concert do so I recommend it. She is incredible live. After you leave the concert you will be saying to yourself that was the best concert I have ever been too. The first time I saw her was at Alpine Valley in WI. This was back in the early 90's. She rocked that place...thank you! All your songs are excellent but this song is my #1.
My mom dedicated this song to me. I cry every time i listen to it. I hope my mom never dies.
dont worry man. she wont. i promise
Fuck, I can never get past the first verse without getting choked up. I'm in a puddle of my own tears by the end of this song.
No one will ever surpass Stevie Nicks!
I so happy she wrote this song, and continued to dedicate her life to music. She is one of the finest Rock stars on Earth.
her little smile at the end omg! shes so cute
Taylor Marie
Donna Owens ?
I know. I always love to see her smiles. They are ADORABLE!
This song was popular when I was going through my divorce
The line : “I’ve built my life around you” really resonated. But, although I was “ afraid of changin’ “ I did and built a good life for myself.
I love Stevie
Stevie is A Beautiful Magnificent Goddess That Came to Earth to Bring Joy and Happiness with A Voice So Transcendent and Evocative, There Will Never Be Anyone Like Her Ever Again.
+Earl Rogerson Yes, she is a Goddess of music, and this is the best acoustic ballad in rock and roll... The lyrics and music touch us all so deeply. Thank-You, Stevie! And Keep On Rockin'!
+Jaymee Hudson Stevie is not A Goddess of Music, She is The One True Goddess of Beauty, Love and Music.
Earl Rogerson - Yes, She verily is all of those things... and many more. Gaia is pleased!
+Earl Rogerson Well said that Man
I want to breath the same air she does.
Jeeez,..I've got tears in my eyes.
You're Not The Only One !
Here I am 62 years young listening to Stevie sing her heart out with the Fleetwood Mac. I feel so fortunate to have gotten to discover your talent when I was only 15 years old in Medford, Oregon at the Armory. It was my very first concert in my life!!! The ticket cost $5.00 and that was a lot for me at the time. Stevie, if you read these comments, I want to thank you so much for sharing God's gift! You truly are an Angel... Much love and Blessings to you and your family!!!!
It seems no one can write music like this any more.
She's a beautiful angel, a blessing. Thank you, Stevie, for your beautiful music. Your inner and outer beauty outshines everyone else...
First line shivers down my arms, chorus with harmonies were just magic. Stevie still has it.
Beautiful song really touches the soul, her voice is a treasure
Eighteen months ago, this track heralded the start of my ‘new normal’ my husband of close to 44 years left this earth plain - I have walked this path and come out the other side 💕thank you Stevie 💕
Timeless and beautiful!
now thats what i call singing
As awesome today as she always was! Stevie Nicks is the best rock artist, lyricist and singer of any female artist IMO. She is a very kind and warm person who never lets her fans down. What a great role model for talent
Yg
And beautiful
This is For you Daddy! The Universal Song That Speaks to us all on so many levels. There is Absolutely No One Better Than Stevie!
No One Else Can Sing So Touchingly, She is The Greatest and She Always Will Be !!
you're so right!! Each time I hear this masterpiece, I so fondly remember Stevie's voice saying, "This is for you Daddy!" gets me every time!!!
thank you for your heartfelt post, I love it!
BK Swanson Thank U very kind of you to say, Just from the heart my friend!
/
+BK Swanson (Buffy) She actually wrote it for Lindsey but because it was her Father's fave song she sometimes would dedicate it to him. At one of her many concerts she says this song is dedicated to Lindsey who taught her how to play guitar and it was Lindsey who inspired this song and it is about him. It's such a beautiful song
Powerful Stevie Nicks.
This is such a beautiful song and I loved the pics of her life and her dad...Loved this...
This True Work of Art Should have 10 Billion Views !
there's not even that many people alive
They can listen to This Magnificent Work of Art more than Once.
Earl Rogerson
Stevie Nick, You Are One Of The Greatest and This Song is All Yours...True
this is my personal song... at 49 trying to start over again from ground zero and a heart broken to so many little peaces and seen snow for the first time... this is the one who just fits me well...
How are you doing now? I hope you are well.
There’s tremendous pain in that raw, salty voice. I don’t know about y’all, but I find comfort in knowing that the landslide will bring it down.
Stevie Nicks can sing anything and sound good !! She's always had a amazing voice and no-one will ever capture it or her style !!! We applaud you Lady, you are one of the best !!!!!!
stevie nicks is my all time favorite female singer a true gift from God
@Noah Pitassi feel bad for you, I will pray for you.
This is the song that my Zumba teacher uses for our cool down.
You must be in great shape Roberta Kennedy ! Zumba isn't easy!:)
i love her

A very beautiful song, and a wonderful singer. Brings a tear to my face today.
Darin Kahn you're so right! Landslide is indeed a very beautiful song, and Stevie is an absolutely fabulous singer! I'm going to sing this song for my 8th grade talent show. My mom suggested it for me after she heard me sing it over the Summer. It's this April 2020. It's only in three months!
Oh Stevie Nicks this song has so many meanings for me, I lost both my parents in one month, and this song is such a refelction on life good and bad, love you and your music, absolutely beautiful
I love Stevie Nicks this was her 1st song she ever wrote, this changed her world, great writer, singer & beautiful goddess that had to go thru a lot of obstacles but she took that & wrote these beautiful songs. Very Brave Woman of great Stregthl
This song is epic. After all these years I still enjoy it. That's the acid test for anything in life. Stevie is a living legend!!
So that made me cry. Happy Birthday, Stevie.
Nice that she dedicated it to her dad! She"s beatiful that way , even w/ the vets!
+John Toothill Jr. Hi there.
She wrote it about her and Lindsey as she has so
often said. Look up one of her Today show interviews and you will hear her say
that it was her father's favourite song and he would have liked to think it was
about him but of course it was about Lindsey. She has dedicated it to her
father only a few times on stage. You don't build your life around your father
but rather she is talking about the life she was building with Lindsey where
ever that took them. She wrote it before joining FM and it took her 5 minutes to write it. Just sharing with you. No offence meant toward you. Cheers
+mary88stella1 wow. did not know. thank you.
mary88stella1 she wrote it for one thing, but she dedicates it to her father now at her live shows. She started doing that in the 90's during The Dance tour. You can hear her do it on the live CD and DVD of you want to.
Oh my god this woman still gives me shivers absolute legend always will be
I took my love, I took it down
I climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills
'Till the landslide brought me down
Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?
Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I'm getting older too
Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I'm getting older too
Oh, I'm getting older too
Oh, take my love, take it down
Oh, climb a mountain and turn around
And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Well the landslide will bring it down
And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Well the landslide will bring it down, oh oh
The landslide will bring it down
ste4vie you don't sound or look like you have gotten older much at all you are one of the lucky ones. a talented timeless soul who will live on forever as beautiful and talented even after you pass you are God-given one of the few thank you
Best performance of this song I've ever seen her do. I watched it live on PBS. It still gets me misty.
If you google top number 1 female rocker. Steve nicks is number. Friend of mine introduced her to me... Im glad
This is and will always be Stevie's song. It's so lovely to see an artist like her who's work actually MEANS something.....so rare in today's world.
Drowning in my own tears right now ;_; My emotions! MY EMOTIONS!
I can't fucking believe Stevie's voice is still exactly the same. My god.
Thanks Stevie for sharing this beautiful touching Ballard!
This song makes me cry every damn time I hear the amazing Stevie sing it. Just beautiful..
You're not getting older. You look every bit as young as ever you did. Great show. Thank God for youtube to be able to catch you. Come back to Ireland again in fact move here
I’m 64. And fjnally accepting it. You young ones won’t believe how fast it all is. But you’ll find out. The way I look at it. Old age is a privilege denied to many. I look at my friends I see them getting old yet minds are still young. I look in a mirror and well it’s weird. I laugh sometimes. But that’s life isn’t it. And Stevie sure captures the transition so well.
The BEST performance of this song ever - bar none.
I lost my dad last year love you Stevie Nicks
Easy to understand why she's arguably one of the greatest artists ever to perform. Her success is Extraordinary & remarkable. Amazing talented woman who's brilliance will be recognised forever.
Just when I think I’ve heard every amazing version…😱♥️ I am exactly the same age as Rumors, born to a young mother in 77 who loved Stevie. I spend a lot of time these days crying over this song as I deal with middle age, and my mother confessed she did the same at my age! In any case, the old pics of Stevie and her family, pictures of her dad…remind me so much of my own parents and brothers. Absolutely beautiful as usual. 👍🏻
its for her dad...she is a beautiful poet
Stevie nicks is so gorgeous. Omg I love her so much. She is literally my queen
My mother's favorite song. She passed in 2005. I hold her spirit close and this song triggers emotions. Forever the mystical poet capturing my thoughts...
Can we acknowledge how INCREDIBLE her backup singers are??
Every variation of this lovely song makes me cry💙
Stevie is an incredible poet. She has the ability to bring people to her amazing world, if only for a little while. She has been there in the darkness and provided light. She has helped pick up the broken pieces of life and been the glue which makes it strong again. She has been there when no one else seemed to be. Keep rockin', Miss Stevie! Much love and admiration ALWAYS!!! :-)
Only concert I ever went to and had goosebumps. It was just a Stevie concert, no Fleetwood-Mac. She talked a lot in between songs, lots of personal stuff, it was awesome. Such a beautiful person and a voice for the ages. Would love to you again.
She is a beautiful artist that after all these years still sounds the same. She is a picture of strength, and has not had an easy life. But she survived and lives to tell her story. I am so proud of the woman she is, and her voice is one in a million. Her music brings back a lot of memories , and if you close your eyes, it feels like you are right there reliving the memory. Love her. There is no one else like her.
my mom brought me to this song❤❤ R.I.P Mom
Thank you for sharing this here. It's beautiful.
Love the memories in the background.... grew up with you girl... you still look & sing amazing.... xo Suz
I am there. This is my anthem song. My children are grown and I have grandchildren. My legacy has many and varied Nuggets of Knowledge is being passed to the next generation.
Seeing her live was one of the most amazing performances I've ever seen.
One of my favorite songs.
It never fails, I always cry a bit when she sings this song. There is nothing I can do about it, and trust me, I've tried. She is so perfect in every way its just unfair.
When she says “This is for you Daddy” my tears start.
It has been a perfect playing for me having a lovely and awesome Fan like you, thanks for your love, I have you mostly to be thankful for🎻🎻🎻🎻🌹🌹🌹
I have always loved this song, and Stevie Nicks, well she is a universal treasure!
not only is she beautiful her voice is so hypnotic such a legend
In my humble opinion, one of the most prolific songs ever written. God bless Nicks for bringing this tune to the world.
Thank you Stevie! This song has become apart of so many lives. It is epic!
This is such a beautiful song with so much meaning! i miss songs like this. Songs that are so well done lyrically. Songs that have music that just give you chills. Songs that have a voice of an angel. It's sad to think where music has gone. I'm just glad that I've had a chance to experience some great music in my life and be touched by it.
Be still my wild heart, I still tear up every time I hear this timeless song. It makes me feel if one ever really wants to make the days of your life really matter, than you must truly love something or someone! Stevie seems to love so completely and selflessly. I love you Stevie and the entire, original band. This song eases my soul and the shinny souls of so many! Big, warm hug and Love and Light to all here ~❤~ xo
Ty , right this minute in life I so need a song to sob too. Ty hun. Always look to Stevie to let me release my inner pain
Awe, "precious", sweet tears for Stevie Nicks and her little family! "Beautiful Performance" Thank you for sharing.
Here's the gig...I grew up a figure skater and had a 30 year career. "Fleetwood Mac" dropped Rumors and we (skaters) have been hooked ever since and to this day! But "Landslide" always has touched me, even in my teens. I was am an only child and my mother raise me solely as a single parent. All of my life it has always been "us"! I have family, but she always being the black sheep created a different bond in the family dynamic. This Christmas 2013 I had to take my mother to Cedar's (she is fine and all is well), but while in the emergency room listening to the doctor asked her simple questions, I realized that at 74 she has not seen a doctor in 40 years, never broken a bone, no surgeries and the only medication she takes is Advil when needed? In those moments the moment hit me that things are changing and NOW I really get what this song speak to me...thank you so much, I spent the time out the hospital listening to this song while walking around outside regrouping to go back and be there in the moment and to embrace whatever it may be with open and loving arms...thank you again for bringing me into the present...Tom
thx..hey have a great day, u made me lol hehehe! tom
So beautiful. A wonderful loving tribute. I seen you in concert, but this is the best performance yet.
My mother use to play this song to me all the time when I was young. Now whenever I hear her voice it brings me back to my childhood.
At 52 in the midst of the coronavirus shutdown, this song has come to life. I miss a live show and wonder when "being there" will happen again. The harmony here touched my soul this morning. I was there. Thank you and happy belated birthday Stevie!😍 #yallbettastandback #themusicchew #stevienicks
Always makes me feel something.
Penny seer of the clouds me too, I can relate to a lot of her music sometimes it touches a nerve.

Stevie is a Goddess. I so want her to record with country Goddess Dolly Parton.
Two unique great vocalists and our greatest female singer songwriters.
