    Omg, YUM, Sarah and Jason! Braising anything Cantonese-style is always so comforting ❤ It's so similar to how my Ma Ma braises her chicken wings with mushrooms too. Your two boys will grow up with such wonderful food memories!

      我老婆唔识煮饭 但係我仲係觉得我老婆係一位好老婆。 唔一定要识煮野先係老婆。我老婆唔识煮野但係係生活上她帮我负担工作量 同埋 帮手照顾小朋友。 我已经好感恩左。 识煮野先係好老婆讲法实在太old school,大男人嘅说法。
      我地90后唔会单单认为老婆一定要识煮野先係好老婆。我认为男人都要识煮野比老婆吃。

    If you love mild spicy stuff, try marinate the pork with spicy 腐乳, sugar, chinese wine (D.O.M or any liquor you have at home), pepper, sesame oil and a few drop of vinegar. Mix the marinates in a bowl, as long as it suits you taste bud then pour in the meat to marinate. It tastes as good with the rest of the ingredients. You can add more 腐乳 and water when you stew.

    豆腐卜是不健康食物,好多反式脂肪。
    豆腐卜可簡稱為豆卜,是一種以油將豆腐炸至水份抽乾的食材。豆卜含有鈣質,可強化骨骼。但由於製作豆卜時,必須置於油中頗長時間,所以,當中亦含反式脂肪。反式脂肪又可稱為逆態脂肪酸,是一種不飽和脂肪酸,食用反式脂肪將會提高罹患冠狀動脈心臟病的機率,因為,它可使對身體無益的低密度脂蛋白膽固醇上升,並使有益的高密度脂蛋白膽固醇下降。不過,若是酌量食用豆腐卜的話,對身體亦不會造成嚴重害處。
    如果怕豆腐卜油膩的話,建議烹煮之前先以熱水略浸,再將豆卜的水份搾出,便可略為除去一些油份,這亦是小妹憤常用來「對付」豆腐卜的招數呢!
