Damn the shade at the end lmao. I do agree that it’s a bit overpriced but Logitech pretty much did the exact same when releasing the G Pro Wireless Superlight, and they saw massive success with that… when it comes to the “Pro” name, I think that “Pro” refers to professional/esport players that value ingame performance more than anything. I think it’s targeted at that specific niche and that’s why they’re still selling the Viper Ultimate along side it.
Did not expect to see you here Intel. Personally I’m mixed about the price of this mouse. Specwise it does match and occasionally exceed the GPX Superlight, which should justify the price. However, I think the main reason why the GPX was priced so high was because 60 grams was an unseen weight for a solid shell wireless mouse. Nothing came close to the GPX in specs when it released in 2020, whereas now in 2022, we have or will have the aforementioned GPX, the Ninjutso Katana Superlight (60g) ($90), Fnatic Bolt (68g) ($80), Endgame Gear XM2W (63g) ($120), Pulsar X2 (50g), Lethal Gaming Gear LA-1 (52g) ($120), Coolermaster MM712 (58g) ($80), Coolermaster MM731 (58g) ($80), and probably more I’ve forgotten.
Price tag too high. But compare to the Superlight and the V2 Pro is the better product in every way from a performance perspective. They removed several features that I don't care about ex. RGB, LH side buttons, etc. But it has improved sensor, switches, and significant weight reduction and these are thing I do care about. If price isn't an issue, get the V2 Pro. If price is an issue, the Viper ultimate is a great value right now and still a top mouse on the market.
Yea you can always mod ur VU. But the superlight is an amazing mouse as well I personally really enjoy both shapes and feel but depends on the person. I like the ability to put in a hotswap psb on the superlight also eventho razors switches are really good.
You have good points, but we as a consumers control whether or not companies can get too greedy by simply not buying the product. The has to be a certain line of acceptable and unacceptable. Else, in 1-2 years we'd have to pay 200-300€ for a computer mouse and let's be honest - that's dumb and unreasonable. I see that you care about weight and weight only, but paying more for less and being fine with it makes literally no sense. I see everyone mentions the Superlight as some weird kind of defence mechanism yet GPX was AHEAD of literally everyone and the first to do it while the market was relatively dry and clone after clone. Why don't you we compare it to recent releases? Fantech coming with fantastic build quality, 59g, 3395 sensor, Kailh 8.0 + bluetooth mode for just 68$. Everything the Viper V2 offers at fraction of the price. With the exception of mediocre optical switches. I have 2 RVU's, DaV2 Pro, Orochi V2 and also had Viper mini. Let's say both my RVU units quality is unacceptable for a 150$ product. DA is decent for the most part, Orochi is solid and Viper mini was mediocre but 30$. Edit: To avoid misunderstandings, Superlight despite being one of the kind, price was unjustified as well especially considering the first few batches QC.
Just a thought on something. Razer’s “ X “ line up of mice don’t share the same features as the V2 pro. I understand where you’re coming from for sure, but if this were to be an X peripheral then there would be a few changes. • It wouldn’t be using their 30K focus sensor. • It would possibly be powered by an external battery ( AA/AAA lithium on the user side to cut weight ). • It might not use their 3rd gen optical switches. Since this mouse fits into their flagship category it was probably priced as such. I think you’re right about them removing dock capability to cut weight. Thing about cutting weight is .. there’s only so much you can do while trying to maintain a product that still feels solid. I don’t think I’d say it’s worth $150, maybe $100 or $130 at best. For comparison, the HyperX Pulsefire Haste Wireless is $80 and uses a worse sensor ( albeit still a great mouse ). Just my thoughts! Great video regardless!
Yeah, but nobody is going to notice a difference in game between a 3335 and this sensor. Anyone who says they do is either at the very top in terms of performance like a handful of pro gamers, or they’re lying.
@@mikeyhope7577 I sure as hell do with of 7-15% dpi deviation and motion delay that is noticeable at 240hz, especially on Source Engine. If I set my mouse to 400 dpi, I want my inputs to register like I am using 400dpi. Not 450.
@@mikeyhope7577 I think the only good implementation of a 3335 sensor is the 3369 on the Orochi V2 with minimal motion delay at 1md (USB 2 extender) to 1,5 ms (direct usb3 port)
I think RFP got the wrong memo. The X series in Razer's lineup is their "budget" or lower tier lineup. I think RFP got too arrogant in his review and totally missed the point of the Viper V2 Pro. This was a bad review from a reviewer that is tired of his own subscribers.
They had excellent opportunity to undercut the Superlight, and tip the scale towards value as they did with the viper mini. Absolutely agree with you Frank. As an existing RVU user, I'd have to give into their greed to get a nice weight and button upgrade.
Viper v2 is a greater value than gpxs at any price point because gprx double click issues and hero sensor degradation are an inevitability and you are looking at 150$ being spent every 2 years. While viper v2 pro is built like a tank, nothing about the mouse really degrades overtime to make it unusable. That alone easily makes it better value. Even though it beats gprx in all other tech specs as well No idea how anyone can say v2 pro is not a great value for money
1:12 Without knowing exactly what formula they use, I assume they use Titanium Oxide to dye the white plastic, which would add a few grams of weight to the product.
@AkatsukiSasuke923 People are willing to pay for the best. The best wireless mice out rn are 150+. G pro superlight, starlight 12, and now the viper ultimate
@AkatsukiSasuke923 the mouse literally isn't made for most people It's the same reason why the starlight makes so little stock as they expect the demand to be much smaller. You often also find the superlight out of stock as well. Logitech literally tells you it's a pro mouse in the name. It was made for competitive which obviously worked as they basically dominate the fps competitive market with the superlight
G Pro to G Pro Superlight is considered an upgrade because it had less features to begin with, now RVU to RV2 is considered a downgrade because it started with more features and decreased on the RV2. Might be biased to say that Razers downfall was because the RVU was just too good, and they were taking away more in comparison with the GP to GPX since it had less features.
ima be honest the features on the original RVU that got scrapped in RV2 is honestly useless for me and 70% of all players. RGB isnt nessecary, Rubber on the side can be replaced with grip tape, and right side buttons arent even useful for RPGS as you can get a macro-pad for like 40 bucks or just get a razer naga if your thinking a razer with tons of buttons, overall the less features makes it better an most of these removed here, got scrapped in the GPX aswell! like rgb and right side buttons..
Tbh I think this is the first product that actually deserves the pro name. Most companies add the pro name to products with added gimmicks that most "pros" would never use. If you're upset about the price you can blame Logitech for that, the G pro X Superlight was $159 when it dropped.
I have a contrasting opinion. I dont think Pro in a product essentially means what you are perceiving it as. Pro in a product has always meant additional features that the normal one doesnt have. Plus no company mass produces a generic product like a gaming mouse for the "pros" in mind. Their target is the general public. Im not sure if I'm coming across in a way agreeable to you. But I hope you will receive my POV in a positive manner.
@@PriyajitKhuntia I understand what you're saying but I disagree. Plus was usually used to denote added features. Apple used to use plus all the time and then suddenly switched to pro and then everyone started adding pro to everything. Plenty of peripheral companies say they make their gear for esports Razer, Logitech, Steelseries, and others use it in their marketing all the time and even give professional players their gear. Being a pro at something means you get paid to do it, it doesn't mean skill level.
@@flashjor98 pro or plus both meant additional features for these kind of product line. Products for professionals in a profession is what you mean to say, suitable for professions like cinematography/photography where thr pro products simply meant complicated options to work to in order to gain a higher degree of output which will never be used my a normal person and gaming is not such a profession. The pros do the same thing (as in usage of the products) as a normal person would do. It's not a complicated affair to get to use it the same way. Insteadits the ability of the user that defines the extent of skill that can be achieved with the exact same product. 2 different things entirely. However, looks like you are going to stick to your opinion, so let's just agree to disagree. Cheers!
@@PriyajitKhuntia I get what you're trying to say but the mouse was made to be used by pros in eSports. They don't care about RGB or how cool the mouse looks. They want a top performing mouse with low latency, a shape that works for them, and easy access to the product so it can easily be replaced if/when something breaks. If Razer wanted to jam pack it with features it would have been called an Ultimate not a pro.
@@shroomi.dori.imo most of this review is unnecessary hate. i’ve had a viper ultimate for a while and just got this on clearance. it’s just a more cut version of the razed viper which has been great. id highly recommend this mouse. for some reason he’s expecting MORE from a modified version to be the same performance, but less in weight.
The only difference g pro x had first mover advantage whereas Razer copying what Logitech has done nearly a year ago and keeping the price that high it’s just a joke
Clicks are way better, sensor is better, more battery, way less wieght. How is that less features? Is a PRO mouse, pro or enthusiast FPS players dont care about RGB or charging dock and they prefer lightweight and better responsiveness over that.

Exactly what this recent "weight reduction" hype has been doing to our mice in the last 1-2 years. Less features (cheaper for them), even less plastic (even cheaper for them in the long run), but insanely more expensive. Let's stop feeding this hype already
@@beancf9174 Copying making it lighter? That's the natural progression of mice dude. The Ultimate was already light. What a fanboy response to act like removing weight is something that's a novel concept.
The v2 pro is definitely what the ultimate and mini combined is, which imo is really good since the size and weight of the mini was really good to most people who likes to game with claw and fingertip grip.
I think the naming's a little confusing but may provide some hints. Razer Viper v2 Pro seems it may be a competitor for the G Pro Wireless Superlight, as it dropped the extra side buttons, aesthetically looks quite similar, and actually appears to be lighter than the G Pro Superlight. It also appears to be priced in line with the MSRP of the G Pro Superlight. The name also doesn't actually include ultimate. I wouldn't be surprised if Razer releases a Viper Ultimate v2 [Pro] or something similar down the line. If these are the case the pricing, features, and aesthetic seem to make sense from that standpoint if those are the features you care about. For me your points make sense as I think the ultimates weight is already fine, wouldn't want to do away with the extra side buttons, and is cheaper.
For me the weight reduction alone is what made me buy this mouse. I’ve been an avid GPX user and have hated the micro usb it has and actually dislike buttons on both sides since I normally have to unbind them to prevent misclicks with the grip I use. The main reason I never gave the Viper ultimate a shot was because it was so heavy in comparison to my other mice. Obviously not everyone cares about weight but for those who do they will gladly spend $150 on a massively upgraded mouse.
honestly after looking at both, I think I'll still prefer the gpro superlight because I prefer the bigger pads on the superlight. Feels smoother to me, but this could simply be solved by having a less resistant mouse pad. but also the pads on the superlight would be much easier to upgrade ngl
I think other than the weight, the optical switch contributed to the "pro", but yeah $150 is still to high for a price.... I was going to put this on my next mouse purchase list but for the price, I will not add this. Thanks for the vid.... and for testing the mouse click with you e-brush :D
I found that the wireless charging contacts on the ultimate just need to be cleaned. I just use a tooth brush to clean the contacts when it starts to get finicky and it starts working like new again. Not so sure the other upgrades are worth losing the dock for me. I am not against spending money to upgrade to new versions when it's warranted, I bought the huntsman tkl V2 after only having the TE for a year because the upgrades were a substantial improvement. This seems like a side grade at best. I'd be more tempted to send $80 and get an ultimate with a newer manufacture date for the refreshed switches than to buy this for $150
The Viper Mini was perfect for me other than sensor and mouse wheel, RVU was perfect other than side grips (they had huge dents from melting off for me within 2 months), mouse wheel and dock connection issues. The V2 Pro is everything I wanted the RVU to be, except for the lack of an improved dock.
the reason why the white version is heavier is because there are microparticles in the paint that are supposed to prevent the white from turning yellow at some point due to the effects of light. therefore the 1g more.
One thing I'm sure is say you have the original viper ultimate and that breaks, but the charging dock works fine, you could find the viper without the charging dock for cheaper.
@@chrispHD true, I've had connection problems with mine and it's better to get a new dock if it breaks instead of splashing a ton of cash on a new mouse if the mouse works fine
To answer the weight question, plastics require colorant and depending on the color more or less color will need to be used to change the color of clear raw plastic, black is an overpowering color so less color to plastic ratio and the white usually requires a higher ration to really punch through solidly so the added colorant will effect the end product weight, from someone who works in plastic injection molding
8:25 That's not fair, Razer is just following logitech on G-Pro superligh. Yes, It's nice to have a X version, but the sensor will be downgrade and the 58g weight excludes the AAA or AA battery. And I bet it will be a supersale product. And I AM agree that it should comes with the charging dock support, I'm not going to buy a new Razer mouse without it.
@@randomfrankp Considering razer is always over price on its new product and the logitech G-Pro superlight sales so good, I think Razer is doing just fine this time. What I wish is Razer can provide a 75% Huntsman V2, and fix the font transparency issue on the function keys.
You're right about the weight difference being noticeable. I notice it with my g pro vs superlight, It makes holding the mouse more natural and effortless. And I prefer razer's flatter shape. So I'd love this mouse if ambidextrous with no right side buttons wasn't such an annoying trend, because if you're used with doing important stuff in-game with them, then the use for such a mouse is rather limited. As it is, I'd rather get 2 more ultimates for the price of one of these, before everyone saves a few bucks on 2 switches and you can't get proper ambi mice anywhere.
the reason why the white version is a gram heavier is because of the total weight of the paint applied onto the mouse compared to the basic black material colour
I recently bought the now "outdated" Viper ultimate and I'm still happy with my purchase, with the new V2 pro they baisically removed all of the features I bought the mouse for
8:35 The "Pro" comes from the weight reduction because pros care more about weight than RGB or wireless charging dongles. The weight and feel are the most important factors for professional applications. And most pros also prefer less buttons, as well and especially removing the side buttons on the right side considering the vast majority of players are right handed anyway. I dunno, It didn't seem out of line to call it the pro IMO.
They needed to counter superlight, which had a big success. People actually can spend crazy amount of money if you convince them that these features are directly improving your aim. (in this case the weight and wireless)
Exactly. This mouse is more marketed towards FPS gamers. You don't need ultra lightweight mice for MOBA or MMOs. The Viper v2 pro lineup is marketed towards FPS gamers for the most part. I'm pretty sure FPS gamers would want lighter weight than magnetic holes for the dock which adds extra weight
I think one thing you forgot to mention is that there is a pretty BIG reason why it’s priced the way it is - the G Pro X Superlight. Its retail is $160, but now going for $145. THAT’s why it’s $150. Has nothing to do with how much the Ultimate is/was or any of their lineup. Razer is strictly just going after the same people that would buy the G Pro X Superlight. It is NOT for current Viper Ultimate users or Razer fans. Literally just to get some of that Superlight pie
What are you talking about, it's for people who like the shape of the Ultimate but want a lighter mouse. Just because Logitech did it doesn't make it okay. If anything, Razer should price it competitively with the superlight for less at $100 to get people who don't already own a lightweight gaming mouse like the superlight. By making it more affordable, it'll drive up their sales and everyone can clown on Logitech for overpricing their mouse and Logitech can respond by making a better mouse for less. Rinse and repeat.
@@liltorro4466 factor in the fact it's their own switches and sensors which are currently the best in the market rn with USB C in a shell that's under 60g and there's your reason.
Thoughts as an original Viper Ultimate owner: Really not a fan of this. Own the current Viper Ultimate and love it. Every change they made takes away one of my favorite features from the viper ultimate. The wireless charging is remarkable and I never would've spent more than $90 on a mouse if it wasn't for the amazing wireless charging pad. The weight is already WAY more than light enough. I use all 4 of the custom side buttons as separate inputs in games and like how flush they are. The built in grips is one of the best features, I have had them fall of on other mice but they're still comfortable and as good as the day they were new on my Ultimate. Battery lasts forever and was meaningless on original because of dock. USB-C is pointless when the dock had detachable cable at the ready. The combination of the DPI and power button is just insult to injury, even if they had good intentions. This mouse should cost no more than $90. The sensor could be twice as good for all I care it's still a downgrade in every meaningful metric.
@@alvarsantini2653 V2 as in a new generation (new internals, e.g., USB c) after their original lineup of the Viper Ultimate, 8k and mini. Of course your gonna compare it with the Ultimate since it's the closest comparison but it clearly says Pro and not Ultimate. It's meant for pro gamers who only care about weight and latency and not any of the added features of the Ultimate. That's like complaining that a F1 car has no features or anything when it's clearly serving a different purpose.
It basically is just the Viper X, both the basilisk x and deathadder x have that led indicator, under the scroll wheel and no rgb. In their mice, X seems to mean budget and wireless, with Bluetooth, but without the 'Pro' or 'Ultimate' features like RGB and charging docks. It seems Razer basically took the Bluetooth, added the 30k sensor, changed from disposable to Li ion battery, changed the 'X' to a 'Pro' and charged 150 for it.
While I agree $150 is expensive, Logitech did the same thing with their G Pro lineup and their newer, lighter mouse with less features (G Pro X Superlight) sold out several times during different drops. I have played on both the older mouse (G Pro Wireless) and the Superlight, and I would definitely the 18g difference in weight improved my gameplay significantly (currently diamond 2 in Valorant). So while they might be alienating a lot of people, I think they did so on purpose to challenge the Superlight as the ultimate competitive (pro) mouse.
Yes plus the fact that people don't realise that razer has the fastest sensor and switches on the market rn along with a solid shell(no holes) under 60g and not to mention USB C.
I'm a dota player who started from Logitech G604, changed to G603. G502, MX Master 3, Razer Viper Ultimate, Logitech G Pro Wilress Superlight, Razer V2 Pro and finally Deathadder V3 Pro. Of all these, the one I have used the longest is the G502 because the shape is very comfortable in my hand. Yes, the G502 has a double click issue, but it can be solved by replacing the switch at a cost of 5 dollars. I still use the G502 today as a travel mouse. I still use the MX Master 3 as a work mouse. The Razer Viper ultimate lasted for 4 months with 3 replacements due to QC issues and defects until I finally sold it to my friend. Two thumbs up for Razer for the guarantee of unlimited new replacement throughout the warranty period, one thumbs down for the QC of Viper Ultimate. In terms of feel, weight, shape, and super convenient dock charging station, the Razer Viper Ultiamte provides a new sensation for me who started from heavy mice. If there were no issues with QC, maybe until now I would still be using the Razer Viper Ultimate. From RVU I briefly switched to the Logitech G Pro superlight which I thought was good, but too and the market was plain in terms of shape and size. I prefer the shape of the Viper Ultimate which gives a fiercer impression when used. Not long after that I bought a used Razer Viper V2 Pro and I found that for the same shape as the Viper ultimate, the RVV2Pro gave the impression of being too hollow and too light to use. The RVV2Pro lasted less than 2 weeks before I finally decided to buy the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro. And damn, this is the best gaming mouse I've ever used so far. Maybe it would be replaced if Logitech released the G502 Superlight with a maximum weight of 75 grams, but once again the feel, shape and form of the DAV3Pro really, really made an extraordinary impression on me who had it. playing PC games for more than decades with various mice that I have used. And the good news is that so far there have not been any issues related to QC or defects on the unit I use (Finger Crossed). Even if there is, I am still confident that Razer Indonesia is still committed to providing an unlimited 2 year warranty for replacement new units. The DAV3Pro is expensive, it doesn't have a charging station, it doesn't have many side buttons, but the shape and feel of this mouse can't be found in many other gaming mice out there. This is the first time I am writing a review of this length because I think this mouse deserves praise. Well done Razer, keep up making good products and satisfying us as gamers. But maybe next time would you please lower the price? Cheers!
You were hard on razer today... I used previously the glorious D- and I loved it, except for the cable. I tried the wireless version but I had a doble clic issue, I returned. Next I tried the logitech superlight I didn't like the shape, and I hated the micro USB port...SO, WHICH WIRELESS MOUSE DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR SOMEONE WHO LOVED THE GLORIOUS D MINUS?
Im not agree with the price judgement because logitech does the same.... US$160 for the g pro x and is a mouse of maximum US$80. Same here with the razer. Now logitech doesnt have an actually US$80 mouse and now razer dropped the ultimate so is a nice deal.
As a top 1% gamer on every title I've touched from Forza to CSGO, there are several things that make up my ability to play at that level. I don't have the best eyes, but I have great instincts, timing, and physical touch/feeling. Every little design change in a mouse makes a huge difference in overall feel. From the coated vs uncoated buttons on Vaxee mice, to the Superlight vs GPRO. They are completely different in the hand despite being the exact same shape. Also, if you run 400dpi, you can definitely tell the difference between sensors. The 3389 in a Vaxee feels way smoother compared to the 3360 in the Zowie for example. Also, initial movement in cheaper wireless mice is extremely noticeable compared to wired. Any upgrades to the technology are welcome by me, for sure. If a cheap oem wireless mouse is $79.99 on average, they priced this more than fairly for launch. Especially since you can expect big price cuts eventually at Best Buy or Amazon. If they price it at 100, where is the room for sale pricing? That's just a symptom of big-name retailers controlling the mainstream market.
I’ve replied to similar comments, and made my own statement, but you’re spot on. Random frank isn’t a serious/comp gamer or a mouse enthusiast and he is actually so ignorant to why this mouse is priced the way it is. All he talks about is the DPI on the sensor but not the actual specs. All he talks about is the lighter weight and removal of features, without taking about the weight distribution, etc.. It’s actually pathetic to see someone talk shit to some of the most well respected tech enthusiasts (like BadSeed who is my favorite) while also being so ignorant to why this mouse is priced the way it is, and who it is marketed towards. It might not be worth it to him, because he’s just a casual gamer and tech reviewer, but it might be 100% be worth it to a comp or pro gamer.
@@FriendNotFoeBand Also considering the competitions price point (the finalmouse starlight having an msrp at around 200) its actually a nice price point for a pro level mouse coming in at around a 25% discount and that's only with the starlight at msrp not resale value. Like these mice are not made for people on a budget. They are here for people who want the best of the best and the effort that went into making said mouse backs that. There is a reason we are just now getting to the point where mice that have insanely low latency, low weight, long battery life, and wireless. Like this is no easy feat for just any company and it goes to show because the only company that actually does it better can't even come close to keeping up with their demand because they are so hard to manufacture with perfection.
@@FriendNotFoeBand Also if you haven't watched optimumtechs video on latency, 800dpi is the best place to be atm if you are originally a 400dpi gamer. Easy change your sens to (just drop it to half of what it normally is and increase your dpi to 800). The reason for that is it has the least latency according to the findings.
But frank you recommended buying the Logitech G Pro Superlight, it was the same concept as this mouse and costed the same (And didn't even have usb-c) 🤔🤔
@@luckymark571 Completely different scenario. GPX lost side buttons and RGB. V2 Pro lost side buttons, RGB and wireless charging while still charging the same price. GPW was still around $100 retail when the GPX launched, the Viper Ultimate was down to $60 and $80. The features, pricing, and market competition make these 2 scenarios completely different.
@@randomfrankp but Logitech didn't upgrade a single thing. Razer upgraded the sensor, switches and usb-c whereas the superlight only removed stuff, didn't improve a single feature other than weight. And this still costs 10$ less than Superlight, which has been increased to 160 officially.
Same here, i had the original rvu and the clicks started creaking a bit and it annoyed the hell out of me. I liked the dock but what i like even more is less weight :D . Also bought the pro superlight which i hated because of the shape. Ended up using Orochi v2 and gave all others to friends. Can't wait for the v2 pro to arrive - for me, all previous issues i had with it seems to be fixed. (also disliked the right side buttons on rvu - but atleast u could just disable them)

Now more focused on testing some different pads :)
I agree. For that price and with those missing features, this is a hard pass for me. I think it is time to buy a spare pair of the Viper Ultimate and the Deathadder Ultimate so that I can still have these with the charging dock in case Razer eliminates those from their product range.
Its for competetive players. For me I play valorant professionally, I dont want unnecessary features, dont need 2 extra side buttons. Not for casual gamers
I already owned basilisk ultimate and naga pro. Wanted to get viper to complete my set while waiting for this. Man what a let down, I'm going to get viper ultimate at this point
My friend Frank, its the direct competition to de logitech g pro x, in this case seem pretty simple that pro is not for premium but for hard core Player.. (lets say Professional use), Premium is Rolls Royce , and Pro is a formula one with no A/C and no head light. yhink about it! except that ... amazing review
Randomfrankp has been consistent with his takes, but it's sad to see that other reviewers shitting on this mouse are the same people who rated the Superlight to be one of the greatest of all time lmao. The only difference is that the RV2 stripped "features" which were arguably useless based on feedback. Imagine what people would say if Razer still had a micro USB lol. If this needs $70, we need to keep the same energy and say the Superlight needs to be $60 USD. This is not a Razer-only issue
I mean with every market, the top product (in this case it would be the starlight from finalmouse) sets the top price. The gpro superlight isn't on the same level as that mouse but I would say with having a company like logitech in terms of reliability a 25% price difference is fair. if anything, finalmouse is the company that needs to drop their prices. also I think the superlight still outranks the viper just because having larger glides make for a better experience on a low sens imo It's kinda like the car market. Sports cars typically have less features and well... less car but people still pay a shit ton more for those. Overall performance is still part of the pricepoint. And you can't say that on the mainstage these mice don't perform. Considering that many pros have swapped to the superlight and that logitech marketed their mice towards pros who are just looking for the best of the best and care a bit less about budget, I would say Razer is doing the same here. This is not your average consumer mouse and it shouldn't be treated as such. There are great budget options out there if you really need them, just don't buy this mouse if it's not for you. Simple as that
@@sharkscanplay2890 I completely agree. I'm more so trying to call it out a lot of the bias we're seeing here. But yeah if you see the v2 and immediately say there are better priced options out there then you should probably go for those options haha. The fact remains they won't have the performance package that this mouse does. Whether or not its worth it to you as a consumer you have to decide for yourself.
The Pro is an adequate name. Think of race cars. You have the Ultimate Trims with all the bells and whistles, but competition cars are barebones to shave weight. If you’re looking for bells and whistles, go with the ultimate, if you’re looking for the lightest weight possible, go with the pro.
I had been eyeballing the Viper and saw this was likely coming soon, but as soon as the Ultimate starting showing up for almost half the price the V2 Pro was expected to launch at, it just seemed really hard to justify waiting. Newer switches that may or may not feel better than ones I already like; side buttons that extend out a little more for better tactility; no RGB, which I don't really care about anyway (but can just turn off); and no charging dock, which wouldn't be a huge deal if I could use a magnetic cable but it doesn't look like I can. Soooo... Ultimate it is. Seems like they should've just kept the Ultimate but updated the switches. Wouldn't be surprised to see those popping up on eBay for people to swap into their Ultimates.
Im left handed and i personally have never used a mouse with my left hand, i may lose accuracy because of that, but i have gotten so used to mouse on right hand i cant switch hands without feeling horrible, still those left hand features are still a plus for a lot of people
Colored mouses weigh about 1-2 grams more because of the weight of the paint/pigments they have to use to get it that color. A lot of plastics are already molded with black so they dont have to add anything to make it that color.
the dock is literally what makes me NOT wanna switch my ultimate, its so convenient then having a loose cable laying around. wish this had that feature
i love how honest this review is, i just bought the viper ultimate last week and thank god i did. because it has much more features for less than what the v2 is and for me who doesn't care about the weight, i am happy with my purchase. i mean, if anyone wants the latest and greatest then go get it, but be mindful of the price difference and with what you get :D
Strongly agree. Really not a fan of this. Own the current Viper Ultimate for the past 2 years and absolutely love it.
I mean it seems like a direct competitor for the superlight, no? Seems like the right price to me considering it's what the competition lists at & they CAN get away with it
At first I was like, dang I just got a Viper ultimate 5 months or so ago.. but after seeing the V2 I'm happy with the Ultimate. Not a fan of the missing features.

Same, this is why I never understood the G Pro X craze here on the internet. The G Pro is the perfect balance between features, weight and price. Same with the viper ultimate. those 10-15g less won't make anyone a better gamer lol
My issue with this angle everybody is taking is that when the superlight came out , they were praising it . When it is pound for pound the same thing 150$ for less features than the original . Not sure why it’s a problem when razer does it ? Is it the doc ? Not sure
GPX did 60g with no holes back in 2020.. it was the only mouse of its kind. The market now has many wireless lightweight offerings well under 150. That’s the difference. Logitech was innovative at the time, razer is just copying to make money
Would've been an instant buy but there's no dock, hope they do an ultimate variant with the dock. Glad the grips are optional, I didn't cover my RVU and now they've worn through.
I feel like since Logitech got away with it made Razer want to test the waters themselves with that kind of greed so I'm definitely gonna wait on a deep sale for this down the line. The G Pro X Superlight was trash too as an upgrade.
On the different colors weighing slightly different. I'm not an expert but I imagine they need an extra thin coat or whatever to make the white look.... whiter as opposed to just a darker color like black.
Frank. I think it’s pretty obvious your take on this release is to stir up a little bit of controversy for your channel. But The fact of the matter is that Razer has released a pro grade mouse completely tuned for FPS performance. A literal chess move to compete with the Logi GPX. They needed to make this mouse and price it $10 less than it’s Logi counterpart. You can’t compare an $80 Glorious or Bolt to a V2pro Those mice are full of issues. Razer V2 pro has a solid shell. No honeycomb. USB C (Logi still refuses to). Weighs 58 grams, 30k sensor and new optical switches. They checked so many boxes here. I may stick to my GPX and Starlight 12 but I am very hyped on this release for FPS players.
I don't see why they needed to make it only $10 less than GPROSL to compete, if they released all the features you listed at an $100 price point, they would still move units. The mouse was hyped the moment it was leaked. This mouse would break new grounds at an $100 price point. I think it's pretty obvious they only priced it that high because people accepted that logitech did it. If we allow these companies to keep that same mentality, it'll be like graphics cards and instead of $300-400 being a mid-tier graphics card, nowadays it's $500-$600 MSRP (before chip shortage). Don't let $150 mice be the new norm.
I feel you on that. I love saving money. But $100? On opening day how could Razer be expected to release this thing cheaper than a Naga v2 or a Basilisk Ultimate? FPS players want the shape and the 58 grams this thing brings to the market. There’s the premium. I’m sure later this year on Black Friday it can be had for $40 off or something and eventually be a $79 mouse as the industry progresses on and all these other brands figure out how to correctly engineer them. But for now I can count all solid shell 58g mice on 1 hand and this is the cheapest.
@@fittedpanda330 I know R&D has a price, but this is through the roof. I personally don't THINK they priced it at 150 because of their own lineup of mice, but instead to the GPSL, but who knows.
Sad that they took away that additional 2 buttons on the right side of the mouse (the 2 forward and back buttons meant for left handed users) those 2 buttons are so useful for me to cycle UP and DOWN the dpi on the fly instead of having to turn the mouse upside down and pressing the dpi button which CYCLES through your dpi This mouse is the perfect replacement for my old g402 and didnt wanna get the g502 because its a brick to use it for fps games
Frank I agree this should not be prices $150. I was going to buy this mice because of the 3rd gen switches. I own the Razer Basilisk Ultimate wireless with a charge dock. The Dpi is not as high doesn't use USB C, doesn't have the switch of 3rd gen, but it has more battery life. Still more expensive than the Viper V2 Pro. Frank I have 2 questions. Which mice would you buy and tell me why, the Viper V2 Pro or the Basilisk Ultimate?
Just bought a viper ultimate yesterday, thought I was missing out, after hearing you lose wireless charging, RGB thumb grips just for it to be lighter that I won’t be able to even tell, glad I pulled the trigger.
That's an awesome review! you said the good and the bad about the mouse, and you gave such a good constructive criticism, that's what i like about a youtuber that helps me make a good decision when it comes to buying a product, you were honestly fair for the company and the consumers. Great job Frank.
do you guys think moving from razer viper mini to this one make significant change? i play apex legends and consider professional. i know the different from normal mouse and RVM. but how much different to change to this one since the weight is almost same.
Your polarizing thoughts seems to come off more of a MMO casual productivity mice user than anything. The reason why it's even 150 is because they're competing with the GPX. What they have given us on this V2 Pro is what Logitech has given to those Pro players. Lighter weight DOES improve gameplay tracking, higher sensor technology, better feet designs, better switches, just overall tech improvement. This is like buying a sports car where it's all about performance rather than luxurious features. You buy it for speed and power.
Also, that ending bit is a bit childish to mention. Having to say "who are the real ones" just because you have a solid different opinions does not mean you are not in the right lol. Isn't that the point of having multiple reviewers? Having different opinions from other standpoint? How they game vs how you game it should easily distinguish who this mouse is made for.
@Sebastian Crisostomo For me battery life of current one is not a problem. Like Frank said it should cost $80 not $150. Charging dock for me is very useful.
@@SEEBA1899 the superlight should cost $80 too then, right? I also don't see why plugging in a charger is that hard either, but I personally don't have a wireless mouse.
@@mega_1st Yea it should. Why Glorious mice can cost cheaper and other brands cannot? Oh and i just like the idea of putting the mice on dock, im planning to buy Razer Basilisk Ultimate and then it's gonna be even more comfortable, if battery of one of them dies i just put it on dock and start using another. Plugging it is also good but i prefer dock while not using for cleaner look on the desk.
@@SEEBA1899 Glorious hasn't made mice that are at the same level of performance as the viper v2 pro or superlight. if they did, then I'm sure they would make them $120+
I used a Viper Ultimate for a few years. It was great at first, but eventually the rubber started peeling off and the thing refused to work without being plugged in. And yeah the dock never worked. Razer shouldn't be charging 150$ for something you will definitely be replacing in 2 years.
The basilisksX only cost 38$, which is just a few steps away from these mouse, both no rgb, dongle, no bt, interval battery vs aa battery. Should’ve cost atleast 80$ tops, 50 or lower in markdown
Franky boy never disappoints. As soon as he said "those other content creators who will justify this price..." I went looking for couple of the usual ones. And boy oh boy was Frank right. They tried so hard defending this joke of a price that it's just pathetic and said. You barely can trust any reviewer out there, that's the reality
not serious right ? the gpx PINK costs 160 and ton shit of ppl buy it is it a scam? yeah? do pros care? no because it’s light and it doesn’t have extra shit other than different color ? why isn’t this the same ?
You're being extremely hypocritical of praising the superlight in your review video and then going around and being extremely critical of the v2 Pro. Razer invested money into newer gen optical switches as well as an updated sensor. Do I think paying $150 for modern wireless mice is good? Of course not. But I think Razer deserves much praise for the release of the v2 Pro. I just wish they priced it somewhere between $100 and $120. But your review video just seems way too hypocritical for my taste. If you're going to hate the v2 Pro, at least call Logitech out on the same flaws. Also, other reviewers aren't allowed to have other opinions? Seems unfair
@@randomfrankp Your opinion also isn't consistent. As an example, you praise the Starlight 12 and put it as one of your top 5 mice of 2021 despite it costing $190 and having QC problems. Yet you don't dissuade your viewers and criticize the mouse in the same way you voiced your opinion on the v2 Pro. Also, the way you were gatekeeping other reviewers and their opinions was really a low class act.
People bought the GPX for $150 and that came with no dock. While I agree this price is inflated and should be lower, same exact thing should be said for Logitech as well and people bought the GPX like it was going out of style.
this mouse is called pro cause it aims at mouse enthusiast and pro players , in the pro scenes pro player doesn't need a charging dock, RGB and other gimmicks, all they need is a good shape, well performing sensor(sensor positioning includes too) , good switch, weight, and build quality. I am using viper mini right now, even if the old viper ultimate comes down to $50 i still wouldn't buy it because of the right side buttons. I'm using fingertip grips and that would just prevent me to performing well on that mouse, i would rather just stick with my viper mini
calling out the other reviewers who still recommended it is a ahh... bold move especially considering u recommended the g502 wireless less than a year ago despite it being way behind the competition for the time and being the same price as the gpw, also less features (which the majority dont care about or use anyway lol) doesnt make it not a pro version, the gpx had no feature advantages over the gpw, none, and it was just the fact it was a weight reduced version with new sensor and coating that was enough to make it seem like the new amazing version, to me as a rvu user the viper v2 seems like a dream, the new clicks being better, taking away the right side buttons, making the grips optional, improved sensor (although no one cares), yeah they removed the dock but to people who are focused on performance that doesnt matter and razer's whole thing is that they are for gamers and trying to be a step ahead of all their competition performance wise. judging a mouse from a performance perspective and recommending it like that and thinking it's worth the price doesn't make a reviewer full of shit
People don't factor in the fact that they currently own the fastest sensor and switches on the market rn with USB C In a shell that's under 60g with no holes. It's selling for basically the same price as the GPX at launch and look at how much praise it got. All I see in the comments is People bitching about there being no more dock because some fat cheetos eating motherfucker doesn't wanna spend a fraction of a second more plugging in USB C cable smh.
i have this mouse, and i bought the skates you recommended in the description. they don't fit and they are the wrong mouse model skates. don't put a link in the description if it doesn't fit the mouse, that's horrible. returning these skates soon.
In Australia, the viper v2 pro retails for $259.95 and I can find the ultimate with the dock for $139.95 so unless there is a drastic price change I'll stick to the ultimate.
No point in buying the v2, less features and not even wireless charging, not worth trading old features for new switches, which probably wont do anything in case of gaming performance and then that weight is unneccessary.
RGB on a mouse, especially one made for competitive FPS gaming is about as useful as RGB on a tennis shoe, so I wouldn’t necessarily call it a feature. Same for the right side buttons. The only real feature removed compared to RVU is the charging dock.
It's compraing directly to gprox superlight which costs the same at 63 grams with same compromises logitech made from gpro wireless to superlight.. and the whole industry went bonkers for it also considering it comes with USB C I'll take it over Logitech any day.
well for the other stuff people complaining it and want at the price of glorious should consider the issues that glorious comes with also RAZER has the lowest latency thanks to its optical switches .. also considering razer tax and r&d expenses of a bigger brand $130 is explainable 🙏 so not a big deal for me though
Completely agree with you on this. The dock for the Viper Ultimate was such crap I don't even use that mouse anymore. Taking away features shouldn't equal a higher price tag. Yeah it looks a lot better, but not at this price point. Keep up the great work dude!
Thank you for pointing out the obvious fact that this mouse is overpriced. Razer thought they released this mouse to a vaccuum when there are great mice for an affordable price like Glorious, Fnatic bolt, or just any wireless mouse that runs on battery. The difference is not big enough to justify the price. This is so unfortunately because if it was $80, this would be the greatest mouse for probably another 3 years. P/S: after this video, people storm online stores to buy Viper Ultimate 😂.
Alot of people got it early. Finally ordered mine. Pulled my ultimate back out while waiting and forgot how much i loved the mouse. It was just a lil heavier then prefer after useing the superlight.
I mean. honestly it's most likely the 3950 sensor and new optical switches people will be paying for. It's a sensor that no other mouse will have for years. if this mouse ain't worth the price, the GproX must be a ripoff with omron switches and a standard sensor that's been modified. But I do agree that there's probably no noticeable difference with the fancy tech. I use the haste wireless with an old sensor over the GproX so I would know.
1:12 White mice usually require an additional coating to make the surface resist yellowing, so there's your extra gram or two.
this seems so obvious but i guess not lol
Damn the shade at the end lmao. I do agree that it’s a bit overpriced but Logitech pretty much did the exact same when releasing the G Pro Wireless Superlight, and they saw massive success with that… when it comes to the “Pro” name, I think that “Pro” refers to professional/esport players that value ingame performance more than anything. I think it’s targeted at that specific niche and that’s why they’re still selling the Viper Ultimate along side it.
Also it should be clear to see how much people are willing to spend on lighter mice seeing how well finalmouse does selling near $200 mice
Yo intel
Basically what I said haha I enjoy your vids Intel!
@@IntelEdits But finalmouse was innovating a lot more and have been, I hate their QC and how they sell but I have to admit they push new standards.
Yeah this mouse is for people that can get an alternative vs the superlight
Recently the viper ultimate is like $80. Compared to $120 that I paid for it originally
Well I just got a lot of money for Christmas and my old death adder is wearing down so hopefully this worth it
Just a thought on something.
Even though it beats gprx in all other tech specs as well
No idea how anyone can say v2 pro is not a great value for money

Pro is for competitive play. The sensor is 2 years a head according to boarzy with like 750 isp. It's easier to track with a lighter mouse.
@AkatsukiSasuke923 People are willing to pay for the best. The best wireless mice out rn are 150+. G pro superlight, starlight 12, and now the viper ultimate
@AkatsukiSasuke923 the mouse literally isn't made for most people
It's the same reason why the starlight makes so little stock as they expect the demand to be much smaller. You often also find the superlight out of stock as well. Logitech literally tells you it's a pro mouse in the name. It was made for competitive which obviously worked as they basically dominate the fps competitive market with the superlight
@AkatsukiSasuke923 it's pro, mean for pro player in esporst scene or hardcore gamer, if you are regular consumer this mouse it's not for you simple
Wrong
Nah Justin
ima be honest the features on the original RVU that got scrapped in RV2 is honestly useless for me and 70% of all players.
@@xspvv it's not like upgrade or down grade it's more of a preference , the new one seems fancier but at the cost of weight mainly
@@xspvv Agreed on rgb and rubber grip not being necessary, however the right side buttons on the first viper were useful for left handed users

@@PriyajitKhuntia I get what you're trying to say but the mouse was made to be used by pros in eSports. They don't care about RGB or how cool the mouse looks.
Is this deja vu? Doesn’t this sound similar to how the G Pro to the G Pro X launch? Great mouse, more expensive and less features.
Spot on
The only difference g pro x had first mover advantage whereas Razer copying what Logitech has done nearly a year ago and keeping the price that high it’s just a joke
I mean 30k dpi is unnecessary although it is a great way to determine how capable the sensor is to be able to go that high while maintaining precision
Just bought the Viper 8k ESL edition.. And they come up with this??
I found that the wireless charging contacts on the ultimate just need to be cleaned. I just use a tooth brush to clean the contacts when it starts to get finicky and it starts working like new again. Not so sure the other upgrades are worth losing the dock for me. I am not against spending money to upgrade to new versions when it's warranted, I bought the huntsman tkl V2 after only having the TE for a year because the upgrades were a substantial improvement. This seems like a side grade at best. I'd be more tempted to send $80 and get an ultimate with a newer manufacture date for the refreshed switches than to buy this for $150
You've missed the point of the Pro label; it's designed for ultimate performance, not ultimate bling and features that negatively impact performance.
What is wrong with viper mini sensor ?
the reason why the white version is heavier is because there are microparticles in the paint that are supposed to prevent the white from turning yellow at some point due to the effects of light. therefore the 1g more.
One thing I'm sure is say you have the original viper ultimate and that breaks, but the charging dock works fine, you could find the viper without the charging dock for cheaper.
That charger will 99% break first. Those things are awfully built
I think my opinion is more than fair
@@randomfrankp Considering razer is always over price on its new product and the logitech G-Pro superlight sales so good, I think Razer is doing just fine this time. What I wish is Razer can provide a 75% Huntsman V2, and fix the font transparency issue on the function keys.
I have a superlight, deathadder v3 pro and now the viper v2 pro. The viper is by far my most favorite mouse I've ever owned hands down.
I recently bought the now "outdated" Viper ultimate and I'm still happy with my purchase, with the new V2 pro they baisically removed all of the features I bought the mouse for
They made it more competitive
Thoughts as an original Viper Ultimate owner:
Really not a fan of this.
The sensor could be twice as good for all I care it's still a downgrade in every meaningful metric.
exactly. if they made this v2 pro with what it has now at a cheaper price, it’ll eat logitech’s super light sales at the very least.
They called it the Razer Viper V2 pro instead of Razer Viper Ultimate 2 for a reason, it's not meant to be the successor of the Viper Ultimate.
just out of curiosity what games do you play? i am a rvu owner as well but don't agree with this stuff
@@manpreetsaini6750 Is the same shape and everyone is comparing it to the Viper Ultimate. It clearly says V2 Which one is the V1 then
@@alvarsantini2653 V2 as in a new generation (new internals, e.g., USB c) after their original lineup of the Viper Ultimate, 8k and mini.
Cheers!
so it is bad when the RVU2 does it but not the g pro x superlight
no it's better than the first one, like he says, he played better with the new one.

Yeah franks take on the price was stupid
you weren't focusing on the polling rate. the pro is polling rate +400%, sensor +33%, weight -23%...
great video but in my opinion this mouse is pro. engineering to get a
As a top 1% gamer on every title I've touched from Forza to CSGO, there are several things that make up my ability to play at that level.
@@chrisdotdash5154 It wasn't towards BadSeed, I saw his review video on it. He even said that $150 is too much for a mouse lol.
But frank you recommended buying the Logitech G Pro Superlight, it was the same concept as this mouse and costed the same (And didn't even have usb-c) 🤔🤔
In that video I also said the price was also too expensive and I don't recommend.
@@randomfrankp Yeah I know you did but you recommended that one and not this one and there practically the same?
@@luckymark571 Completely different scenario. GPX lost side buttons and RGB. V2 Pro lost side buttons, RGB and wireless charging while still charging the same price. GPW was still around $100 retail when the GPX launched, the Viper Ultimate was down to $60 and $80. The features, pricing, and market competition make these 2 scenarios completely different.
@@randomfrankp but Logitech didn't upgrade a single thing. Razer upgraded the sensor, switches and usb-c whereas the superlight only removed stuff, didn't improve a single feature other than weight. And this still costs 10$ less than Superlight, which has been increased to 160 officially.

its expensive but the "features" they are dropping from the original razer viper ultimate makes the new product exactly what I want
Same here, i had the original rvu and the clicks started creaking a bit and it annoyed the hell out of me. I liked the dock but what i like even more is less weight :D . Also bought the pro superlight which i hated because of the shape. Ended up using Orochi v2 and gave all others to friends. Now more focused on testing some different pads :)
Let us know if the mouse clicks become slightly squishy. I've owned 3 razer viper ultimates (replaced twice)
Imagine prioritizing a charging dock over weight and performance. Spoken like a true casual gamer
GPro to GPX was the same.
I was thinking this same exact thing
Totally agree.
I mean with every market, the top product (in this case it would be the starlight from finalmouse) sets the top price. The gpro superlight isn't on the same level as that mouse but I would say with having a company like logitech in terms of reliability a 25% price difference is fair. if anything, finalmouse is the company that needs to drop their prices.
also I think the superlight still outranks the viper just because having larger glides make for a better experience on a low sens imo
It's kinda like the car market.
Simple as that
Yup. And it's exactly as you said, this mouse was all built with consumer feedback, it's not as if Razer solely removed things without doing research

A lot of plastics are already molded with black so they dont have to add anything to make it that color.

i love how honest this review is, i just bought the viper ultimate last week and thank god i did. because it has much more features for less than what the v2 is and for me who doesn't care about the weight, i am happy with my purchase. i mean, if anyone wants the latest and greatest then go get it, but be mindful of the price difference and with what you get :D

Yep agreed
At first I was like, dang I just got a Viper ultimate 5 months or so ago.. but after seeing the V2 I'm happy with the Ultimate. Not a fan of the missing features.
Same, this is why I never understood the G Pro X craze here on the internet. The G Pro is the perfect balance between features, weight and price. Same with the viper ultimate. those 10-15g less won't make anyone a better gamer lol
Same. It's light as fuck as it is, no need to go lighter.
We really need docking charging for our wireless mice.
Qi charging option wouldn’t be bad
When you said no wireless charging I muted and let the video play out to support you. If it had the wireless capability I’d of got the white version.
I feel like since Logitech got away with it made Razer want to test the waters themselves with that kind of greed so I'm definitely gonna wait on a deep sale for this down the line. The G Pro X Superlight was trash too as an upgrade.
this one is worth it imo
So many people are saying the $150 price is too high, and that is a true statement for a mouse, no matter how good/fine tuned/optimized/perfect it is.
I have the V1, and I see no reason to upgrade. the only reason I would upgrade, is for insane battery life increase, which simply isn't the case here.
Sad that they took away that additional 2 buttons on the right side of the mouse (the 2 forward and back buttons meant for left handed users)
those 2 buttons are so useful for me to cycle UP and DOWN the dpi on the fly instead of having to turn the mouse upside down and pressing the dpi button which CYCLES through your dpi
This mouse is the perfect replacement for my old g402 and didnt wanna get the g502 because its a brick to use it for fps games
Dude LOVE your absolute honesty. For someone who has as many subscribers as you and can speak their mind freely like this.....HUGE respect. Liked!
Just got the Viper V2 Pro, purely because it has no rubber parts, because my hand sweat causes the rubber to wear out really, really fast
pro - for pro play and pro performance, achieved with the extreme sensor and low weight
do you guys think moving from razer viper mini to this one make significant change? i play apex legends and consider professional. i know the different from normal mouse and RVM. but how much different to change to this one since the weight is almost same.
How they game vs how you game it should easily distinguish who this mouse is made for.
and not just higher sensor tech.. but also exclusive sensor tech from pixart only for this mouse/razer
doesn't a higher max dpi sensor provide more accuracy at the lower end?
hey hey... this channel is not interested in such facts

Yea, I'm also gonna stick with my Viper Ulitmate. I thought about replacing it with new versions but for me it's not worth it.

What about the wheel? Is it still the same as in the Viper Mini and Deathadder Mini?
Franky boy never disappoints. As soon as he said "those other content creators who will justify this price..." I went looking for couple of the usual ones. And boy oh boy was Frank right. They tried so hard defending this joke of a price that it's just pathetic and said. You barely can trust any reviewer out there, that's the reality
You know, 'The Techne' comes to my mind when you said that, even if I haven't checked his video.
@@Jeffnvz oh damn, on point my man :D Techne was literally the first one I checked. But he´s not the only one unfortunately
@Sebastian Crisostomo idk if you’re joking or not
not serious right ? the gpx PINK costs 160 and ton shit of ppl buy it is it a scam? yeah? do pros care? no because it’s light and it doesn’t have extra shit other than different color ? why isn’t this the same ?
Disagree. This mouse is better of for people who want the best performance especially in esports. There is a reason why the GPX was a massive success.
What was the battery life compared to the original?

I should also add, telling me to ubsub from anyone is just going to make me unsub from you.

this mouse is called pro cause it aims at mouse enthusiast and pro players , in the pro scenes pro player doesn't need a charging dock, RGB and other gimmicks, all they need is a good shape, well performing sensor(sensor positioning includes too) , good switch, weight, and build quality. I am using viper mini right now, even if the old viper ultimate comes down to $50 i still wouldn't buy it because of the right side buttons. I'm using fingertip grips and that would just prevent me to performing well on that mouse, i would rather just stick with my viper mini
Yeah there's alot of mislead souls in these comments including Frank
Honestly 150 makes sense it’s a competition if you want the best you gotta pay for the higher price it’s always been like that it’s a sad truth
calling out the other reviewers who still recommended it is a ahh... bold move especially considering u recommended the g502 wireless less than a year ago despite it being way behind the competition for the time and being the same price as the gpw, also less features (which the majority dont care about or use anyway lol) doesnt make it not a pro version, the gpx had no feature advantages over the gpw, none, and it was just the fact it was a weight reduced version with new sensor and coating that was enough to make it seem like the new amazing version, to me as a rvu user the viper v2 seems like a dream, the new clicks being better, taking away the right side buttons, making the grips optional, improved sensor (although no one cares), yeah they removed the dock but to people who are focused on performance that doesnt matter and razer's whole thing is that they are for gamers and trying to be a step ahead of all their competition performance wise. judging a mouse from a performance perspective and recommending it like that and thinking it's worth the price doesn't make a reviewer full of shit

I was always curious on why exactly the V2 launched at $150 and this video pretty much validated what I expected. Thanks!
This is one of the mice of all time
agreed
Ah yes, this mouse is very mouse
Definitely one of the mice ever
hope they fixed the scroll wheel jumping issue
If it's lighter then yes it's better. Features on mice for FPS should be shape weight and sensor. Anything else is just gimmicks.
So wireless is a gimmick
@@diamonshade7484 No you're right forgot about wireless. Wireless is a must now.
@@McMintyMP for OCD
Casuals care about RGB and dumb docks
RGB on a mouse, especially one made for competitive FPS gaming is about as useful as RGB on a tennis shoe, so I wouldn’t necessarily call it a feature. Same for the right side buttons. The only real feature removed compared to RVU is the charging dock.
100%
It's compraing directly to gprox superlight which costs the same at 63 grams with same compromises logitech made from gpro wireless to superlight.. and the whole industry went bonkers for it also considering it comes with USB C I'll take it over Logitech any day.
well for the other stuff people complaining it and want at the price of glorious should consider the issues that glorious comes with also RAZER has the lowest latency thanks to its optical switches .. also considering razer tax and r&d expenses of a bigger brand $130 is explainable 🙏 so not a big deal for me though
This is neither here nor there but did you remove the screen from the front of your cpu and if so why?
Completely agree with you on this. The dock for the Viper Ultimate was such crap I don't even use that mouse anymore. Taking away features shouldn't equal a higher price tag. Yeah it looks a lot better, but not at this price point. Keep up the great work dude!
Really wish they had an option for a charging dock.
The glorious mice have worse sensors and switches are notorious for scroll wheels braking and is 65g with holes wtf you on.
Alot of people got it early. Finally ordered mine. Pulled my ultimate back out while waiting and forgot how much i loved the mouse. It was just a lil heavier then prefer after useing the superlight.
in a few months this mouse will be 80 bucks on amazon anyway lmfao
It’s still 100 even 2 years later😭😭
@@ThaRealAnti its over
I just copped 😂@@ThaRealAnti
I mean. honestly it's most likely the 3950 sensor and new optical switches people will be paying for.
