That death scene was one of Sonics darkest fears. But despite that, Sonic knows Amy would not do something like that and now wants to see if Amy is alright. That's heartwarming.

It's a real tragedy what happened to Amy. Her love and kindness was taken for granted by Sonic. And taken advantage of by Tails. And no one reached out to her with the same compassion.
Even if Sonic isn't interested in romance or a relationship, he failed to see that this Amy was not in the right set of mind and was in pain. She was his friend and he turned his back on her.
Thankfully, we know that the real Sonic would never do this.

I like to believe if this scenario did happen and Amy spiraled to this point sonic being the nice guy he is and caring about her wouldn’t just try to leave. Like I think sonic cares about her too much to have wanted to leave her that way and cut her out of his life.
