- Amy and Sonic, Sonic and Amy, Sonamy: Amy Rose doesn’t care what you call them, as long as you recognise that the Blue Blur and her are destined to be together. Although, somebody should probably tell Sonic the Hedgehog, because he doesn’t seem interested in giving Ms Rose a new surname (which I guess would make her Amy the Hedgehog… or Mrs. Sonic Hedgehog?... ANYWAY…). Looking to make her dream a reality, Amy turns to Tails for help. That was her first mistake. It was supposed to be Sonic and Amy Rose, not Sonic vs Amy Rose. That’s what everybody wanted… except for Miles Prower, of course.
Why rewatch the Sonic movie, when you’ve got a perfectly good Amy Rose movie right here. And Sonic Frontiers and Sonic Prime can wait while you relive the entirety of There’s Something About Amy (with a BRAND NEW epilogue that shows you what Tails and Amy are up to now). Enjoy.

It is not his fault that he is the way he is he came with that artificial obsession they never cared to give him anything more than being sonics best friend so can you blame him for going insane after his only purpose in life was shattered the day he discorvered that he was in fact not sonics best friend, he did not accept that and now is trying to find the sonic that is his best friend across the multiverse concenquently causing lots of death along the way. All of that because sega wanted more money creating a side kick for sonic.

Watching these all over again and hearing "what are friends for?!" Just sends chills through me. MOST ICONIC LINE EVER.
Not gonna lie, when I first heard that line, I thought it was friendly line but the more Tails keeps repeating that line, the more sus it gets. And I honestly don't know whether I should be excited or creeped out about There's Something About Knuckles. Loved the Mashed Channel, dude. 😁

Sonic's reaction to Amy's transformation is gut wrenching. Throughout the video he's portrayed as almost just a one-note jerk, but in that moment he's showing genuine compassion for Amy as he realizes what she's become. It's only when she grabs his arm and actually hurts him is when he calls her a freak. But all the moments leading up to it he continuously attempts to calm her down and help her.
The reveal that he always tried to show his feelings but ran from them is the real stinger.

I gotta say, there's something about tragic backstories like this for villains or heroes that I just love. Seeing a character who is inherently good turn into a monster through manipulation just scream incredible storytelling. Fall from grace stories are actually my favorite kinds of stories, like a shakespear tragedy, but more open-ended for more incredible storytelling.
One of the reasons I love this type of storytelling is that stories like these make me want to change the story and save the person from becoming a villain. Part of me wanted to cry for Amy the more I saw the scene where she killed Sonic, and it made me think if Sonic hadn't given into his anger, he could've had a chance to save her from a dark path, even get her to realize what she's truly done to herself, and even could've done something about the Evil Tails. It kind of makes me glad that this Sonic isn't completely the canon Sonic we know and love, because even if Sonic had this encounter with a mentally disturbed Amy, I have no doubt he would've done everything and anything to save her from her dark path.
I really hope it has a happy ending though :( I can understand that it has good writing (it actually made me imagine an alternate ending all in my head) I just hope it was a good happy ending where the Old Sonic and Amy get together again :(

But sonics feelings for Amy is ACCURATE?! Sonic is intended to like Amy back. But he’s just shy and doesn’t do feelings, so he runs. This cartoon nods to that, instead of him just being an asshole

I love how we see tails actively manipulating Amy, and it's obvious for us viewers, but Amy is very fragile right now, so manipulation is very easy to work. I love these parts so much.
Yeah. This is especially potent when he says that none of the other Amys are even close to shining like this one. That could be genuine, or he could he referring to how she's been the easiest to manipulate. Either way, Amy's in such a fragile state of mind that she giggles like a child at this, showing how her happiness has become so dependent on Tails to an unhealthy degree.

I’ve noticed a few really neat details in the animation that are just perfect
All of the advice given to Sonic and Amy by Tails is intentionally toxic and intended to fail
6:41 represents the last moments of simplicity and happiness for Amy. With the happiness and simplicity of the animation style dying and the tone changing to fit a more gruesome atmosphere. The joy and whimsy of the story being shown with the simple and straight lines and flash(like) animation (scenes are simpler and have less animation) near the beginning does a good job at making the scene when Amy changes designs really feel impactful
Also the scenes directly after Amy kills Sonic are often darker or more monotone

Portraying sonic as having avoidant attachment style is really grounding for his character. Awesome job to whomever got expanded a speedy hedgehog into that.

I think that it's because no matter how smart Tails is, he most likely isn't too physically strong or durable. Probably slightly above average and fast enough to chase Sonic.
Amy isn't stupid, just very emotional (and now insane). If you add in the facts that she wields a giant mallet and is probably only a little slower than Tails, she's terrifying.
Amy is juggernaut that's only being kept in line via emotional manipulation.

Does this confirm that Tails wat taught by Victor Frankenstein, because the way he was able to preform plastic, skeletal, and skin surgery on Amy - while some seems are visible - is still impressive. And don’t even get me started on the organs he had to use for Amy. Especially her heart.
The longer the video runs she sounds more like Harley Quinn.
Pretty sure this video series is the EXACT REASON Sonic: Frontiers rebuilt Amy’s characterization from the ground up. THANK GOD for that.

Just noticed the parallels between 6:57 and 17:24.
At 6:57, Tails is on the left and Amy us going to sleep while her transformation begins.
Meanwhile, now, at 17:24, Tails is on the right while Amy is waking up, after her transformation is complete.
I love little details like this, whether they're intentional or not!

18:35 - That shot of tails shaking uncontrollably with excitement is equal parts unsettling and goofy.
18:40 - 18:57 - I freaking love the music in this scene. Perfectly encapsulates that feeling of existential wonder.
19:10 - I noticed Tails said "*help US in our quest*". I wonder who he could possibly be working with? I'm assuming Tails is talking about Sonic, albeit, in some twisted metaphorical sense. That seems too easy though. I'm betting that SH Tails is working with alternate versions of himself.
Also, I like that mashed is hinting at Amy having a change of heart, and possibly thwarting his plans. Whether that will be due to her guilt/regret, or Tails underestimating just how batshit crazy she is, remains to be seen.
One things for sure, there definitely ain't going to be no Sonic in that portal, only more existential, messed up, Tails insanity.

I am an Amy connoisseur my friends, and let me tell you... Heartbreak Amy is probably one of my favorite fan-made versions of the character. From the Jersey Harley Quinn voice acting to the design of her new longer hair, it's all just great.

This came out a day after Sonic Prime. And both series involve Sonic Characters going through alternate dimensions where they see other versions of the main cast. And a modified evil Amy. The timing of this is weird, but interesting.

It was so worth the wait to see Part 4. I just can’t stop replaying this. Also, nice touch at 18:00-18:15. It was like Amy may have LOOKED like she went crazy after she changed her appearance, but she doesn’t seem to have forgotten who she was before. Impressive moment.
However, IMO, I think they should’ve posted that Noel’s animal ark teaser thing as a separate video.

I forgot how amazing the VA was for Amy here. She put so much feeling into this and it's amazing.
The way Taiils says, "What are friends for?" gets progressively more creepy every time he says it
It’s mostly because of how much he says it and how it’s portrayed in more and more detail

Poor Amy she just wanted to celebrate national sonic day and the part where she's holding the picture of sonic and crying was so heartbreaking
Just realised that one of ‘Tails’s’ first lines is; “I guess I’m my own worse enemy” shit you’re good, I assume this was foreshadowing for the twist that SH Tails killed this universes Tails, but if it’s foreshadowing something still yet to come, I’m here for it
Did you also notice how Amy had multiple spots with a yellow color? It looked like Tails used parts of the original tails of that timeline for the “modifications”
Also the explosion could have been when he killed the og tails. I say this because the OG tails' head thing was burned and appeared to have been screaming.
Perhaps OG Tails built the dimensional transporter and SH Tails crawled out of it.
