Even after all this time , I never get tired of this song .
That should tell u something🤔
Swing Out Sister is an underrated group. Corinne Drewery has a fantastic voice.
What's underated? Yea she had a great voice but they did very lil music.
What's underated? Yea she had a great voice but they did very lil music.
@@michaelasay8587 They put out a lot of music.
@@michaelasay8587Very little music? They've NEVER stopped recording at all. The drummer left, Andy Connell stayed and Ewing Our Sister's NEVER stopped recording new material. The only time they slowed down was when they were forced to due to the COVID pandemic. Their music is still as great as ever. If you want to blame somebody - blame M-TV and VH1 for not programming any of their videos after Breakout and the radio stations around the country for refusing to program their songs - not Corinne Drewery and Andy Connell. Their follow-up single wmto Breakout was Twilight World and it's superb. But it NEVER received anywhere near the airplay that it's predecessor did.
This is an underrated CLASSIC, always loved her voice and that baseline
Not underated. This song was a MAJOR (and only) hit for Swing Out Sister.
Started of like West End Girls by Pet Shop Boys. That's what it sounded like to me.
This came first, pretty sure.
Someone finally reacted to Swing Out Sister - nice. Definitely a good choice when you're feeling low, SOS will lift that mood right back up. There's quite a few other great tracks by this band: You On My Mind, Waiting Game, Am I The Same Girl?, Not Gonna Change, Somewhere Deep In The Night, Twilight World, Forever Blue, Somewhere In The World...
This was their only major hit, though.
please review their remake of "AM I THE SAME GIRL"!... beyond catchy!
I second that emotion lol…its my favourite as well
Yes I am, Yes I am
Yep. That should be the next one.
I third that emotion. Excellent remake!
Excellent cover, she is one of the best more current singers
Dusty Springfield as usual did a fantastic cover of Am I the Same Girl also. Barbara Acklin had the original in 68, always loved the song.
I forgot about this song. Definitely an 80's dance banger.
I heard this song many times since it came out(released in 1986), but never saw this video. I loved it. The lead singer(Corrine Drewery) has very cool moves, and is very watchable. I also love the dancers up top with their 80's style dance moves.
This song brims over with positivity. Very nice. I love that song West End Girls!
Love this song, I used to have a crush on Corrine Drewery..
Madly in love with Corrine from when this song was first released, And still in love with her today, if you get the opportunity, try some other tracks by them, they have many great songs.
I am obsessed with this song, i have to hear it at least once a week... i love it so much!
"Twilight World is another good one by them.
I’m guilty, too. Love, love, love Swing Out Sister!!
I've been listening to a few bands that are from the UK lately. Incognito, Workshy, Basia, Everything But The Girl, Corinne Bailey Rae and of course Swing Out Sister. My favorite Swing Out Sister song is "Better Make It Better" from The Living Return album.
The 80s were the best decade for good mood songs
Beautiful hair Angela! I love this song!!
Not the type of song that would usually be one of my favorites, but for some reason I just love this song.
Great picks tonight.
The great Cocktail Pop Jazz Diva, Corrine Drewery and SOS.
Wow, Angela, you are hitting a rare vein of music with Swing Out Sister. Every song is so distinctive and catchy, totally their own unmistakable crafting! I hope you react to their catchy hit single "Am I The Same Girl?"
Here's another similar vein for you: Inara George and Greg Kurstin -- a/k/a The Bird & The Bee. Their style and sound are more muted that SOS but nonetheless smooth, deep, kickin' indie-pop. Not a sour note to be found. Try their hit single, "My Love."
This group MUST BE HEARD
Love you CORRINE❤❤❤😊
Great reaction, DayOneReacts to one of my favorite 80's groups.
Thank you Angela for those kind words you.mention when talking about Swing Out Sisters top 5 pop hit from 1986.called Break Out . I'll let both Corinne Drewery & Andy Connell know . They certainly wrote a golden nugget of a classic as well as lots more material and released several albums . Keep on Swinging Out in 2022 .
I clean my house to this song :)
from the first time i ever heard them there albums were a must! i love Swing Out Sister! Corinne is on of the prettiest women ever! and her fasion is amazing!
Great reaction! Great song by a great group. Another great late 80's tune is C'est La Vie by Robbie Nevil. Funky tune!
Aww man! I don’t know where this video came from. It is a fun song, but the video they used to show was more interesting, where after the breakdown, with no drums, she would ‘break out’ in a new dress, almost like on a model runway, barefoot & camera lights flashing, etc., when the music modulates (key change). So I was waiting for that to happen, but no dice. Anyway, the song is upbeat mood, & the horn lines nice. Would be cool to medley this with Phil Collins’ Sussudio, different groove, but similar tempo & active horn parts. Cool reaction! 👍🏾
OMG years since I heard this. Love it!
Pleasure? Absolutely! Guilty? Not on your life; I have no shame in stating that this is one of my go-to feel-good songs.
It was mega hit back in the day. It was a must in all good parties and hip discos.
I think my guilty pleasure is watching your videos. It is great to see you so exuberant and having fun. You’ve created a really good channel here. Well done. Keep it going for as long as you enjoy it.
I love her Louise Brooks haircut.
What a great track !
Brings back memories of an old summer love.
Great to hear Swing Out Sister again! My favourite SOS song is "You On My Mind", a very 60s vibe with strings arranged by the legendary Jimmy Webb...
swing out sister :fovever blue ,song fabulous
The song you were thinking of was West End Girls by the Pet Shop Boys
"A New Day For You" by Basia is kind of like this song. Check it out
I used to like this song! Now for something completely different! I recommend Forget Me Nots! by Patrice Rushen! It is an R&B classic!
One of my favorites from the 80s 💯
That's 80s music just a decade of fun songs
Hi Ms. D., SOS is great, U should review "Am I The Same Girl" which is an instrumental "Soulful Strut" that someone wrote words for it.. ♠W.G..
I love alternative rock 80s new wave and metal but i love swing out sister
A great "Guilty Pleasure" song would be Holiday by The Other Ones (1987).
Listened to the whole album this song is on. This band is pretty awesome.
Feel good tune, been used in TV adverts
Next SOS is Twilight World, and below mentioned are all good, Am I The Same Girl, many many many, great band
I loved!!! Please, where I can get the link to the video of this show???
Encontreiii!!! ruclips.net/video/nTLRoRlxdXk/видео.html Swing Out Sister - Breakout - Countdown Australia - 19 July 1987
Breakout was their breakthrough! Jazz influenced modern rock from the UK 🇬🇧.
SOS has been here and there.
Corinne has sang at the Java Jazz Festival in Indonesia 🇮🇩.
Suggested next video: Twilight World. 🌎
I really love and appreciate your reactions to the music I grew from and I'm still awaiting when you can get to Foreigner-I Want To Know What Love Is.
I bet the song you were thinking of was West end girls. The opening to this song sounds very similar.
Love that song.
SoS has some amazing songs. Very deep and varied catalogue.
It does sound like track that a group like Level 42 would make...minus the trumpets.
speaking of! check out the live version with level 42.... this song lends itself perfectly to mark king playing the bassline live. cheers!
You should check out the video for this song, it's one of my faves.
The lead singer had a successful modeling career before she joined this band.
I don't care which song it is. I'm just here to stare at Angela's Beautiful smile, gorgeous face and dancing.
The original music video is fun too.
I thought of West End Girls at the start as well.
You need to watch the video for this song. It’s fun.

Lol. I thought the same thing west end girls petshop boys
Very good also reacts to surrender and forever blue.
How about reacting to SADE her 2011 live performance of "No Ordinary Love"
WTF, I'm suppose to be sad right now...
Great song
Starlight world. By swing out sister
Crush on You by the Jets
The lead singer has a strange voice but it works for their style.

Very Gloria Estefanish...
This tune came out in 1991, and this version, I think, is great because she's at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem. I don't know if Showtime At The Apollo is still on TV, but back when this came out, it was the time frame me and my friends used to watch it every week, after SNL was over. Anyway It's Lisa Stansfield with her crossover hit All Around The World. First White British woman to have a #1 song on the R&B charts. The crowd gets so hype for her. ruclips.net/video/hOJKwwXb-9Q/видео.html
More British unique music
Can you please do “come to papa” by Bob Seger
Their cover of Am I the Same Girl is amazing.
Fantastic song - great brass
Why isn’t brass used in popular music anymore? Requires talent?
Great reaction! Hadn't heard this song in forever. It has a great vibe and reminds me of The Miami Sound Machine with Gloria Estefan. Their song Rhythm Gonna To Get You is one you'll really like! And it will make you dance💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
Corinne Drewery was my 80's crush, absolutely beautiful, you should listen to their track Somewhere In The World
Here she was, Corinne Drewery looking like a Vogue model singing in one of the catchiest Jazz pop voices ever.
Love this 80s nugget. If this song doesn't get you in a good mood, check your pulse because you may already be dead. Just saying
Exactly what I was thinking; Pet Shop Boys! Lol!😁💯
Yes girl! Loved your video!! We used to dance to this song in the 90's!
She was a classic singer before switching over
pop britsh
My favorite song ever. It cheers me up every time ….more than any psychotherapist ever could.
The horns, synth, bass & voices really pop here
I remember this song back in the dayysssss
Lots of nice memories with this song 🙂
You get an A+ just for choosing a song that hasn’t already been reacted to ten million times. Well done!
