My tactics are to run or to die. You are a true Eve player, I love this :) 5mins in and I can tell you deserve many more subscribers. As future suggestion maybe some video on exploration and Wormhole relic/data sites? Since legend Jonny Pew cleared his most of his channel and went into alt mode to escape his 'loving' fans, there is a market for this kind of educational stuff. You have great humour with clear and sensible presentation.
Thank you! Next episode features 'My First Heron' , I have already lost count of the number of people that have suggested I get a VNI or Gila to 'rat properly' :). I know what happens when a neut Gila or VNI ventures into Low Sec :) #nobodysuspectstheMerlin
Trolling Chesters in Lo Sec is great fun, especially if they start talking. This really helped me - I'm still more cautious but the angles and turning off the AB/MWD when close was something I didn't know to do.
Nice video, it definitely build confidence for rat hunting. I was usually avoiding any ship bigger than mine... and seeing a frigate taking down a battleship is quite nice. Some of the modules in your fittings seems to have change name since you posted the video : "Small Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer I" is now probably "Small Thermal Shield Reinforcer I", and "Adaptive Invulnerability Field I" I'm not sure but could be replaced by "Multispectrum Shield Hardener I" (though it gives only 20% for all shield, not 25%).
Heheheheh! Sounds like me with “I lost my ship on the very first asteroid belt”. I lost my ship the first time I when to do missions... and ratting... and mining... and gassing...I do make way more then I lose (now) so it’s worth it.
Love the video ! The first time I got killed in low sec was also someone from the Killer Cockatoos. If you ever want to team up and go dish out some payback, I'm up :)
Has anybody told you that you sound like Michael Caine? Because I will. and I REALY enjoy it. Furthermore I am new to EVE and learned lot from your videos. Thank you and fly safe. o7
Hi, thanks for doing this amazing video, it was really helpful. I have a question: why is it that you scan all the time? Is it like refreshing the view of the ships around you? Regards
Exactly that Rodrigo! every time you hit scan / press V it updates. You will get the most warning of people coming into scan range and may also see ships come through a gate or undock before they can cloak. Really glad yo found it useful :)
this helped a lot, but i bought Vigor power support in low slot and using navy antimatter charges, which cost me in total 1.9mill in jita 4 moon 4. thanks again.
I am currently a solo alpha and I have moved into low sec. Great way to earn cash as a solo. Earned 245 mil in a couple of hours scanning down combat sites and doing them in 0.4 sec systems with the occasional wormhole i scan down and pop into which earns decent isk too. None of my ships are pimped to the max and for the WH sites I use a passive shield tank drake. Doing this ive managed to earn my 1st billion in no time.
Think you could start putting the fit in your video descriptions? That would make it easy for us just looking for the name of the module while watching.
I have started doing that and will start posting the fits in a section of the discord this week too xD I will pop the Cormorant fit in this description later :)
The directional Scanner doesn't need probes, It will display the same things as your overview, so you need to make sure probes are switched on in overview display settings. Probes are needed to scan down / locate things, so you can warp to them.
For this application the rails won't get the dps to kill the clones, they can out rep low skill rails. For most general pvp rails are a good option, like the pve Cat doing the 3/10 DED site xD

You have some of the better alpha videos. They're so chill. I feel like I can log in right now and do this!
I'm late to the party, but thank you so much for making those videos... Learnt so much more than reading all those forums
You're not late at all mate, we are just warming up! :) Really glad it helped. Fly Brave o7

I love your vids man. I only play eve for the small scale stuff, so this is perfect. Keep them coming please! :)
No such thing. Everything contributes to the EVE world and economy :)

Great video, thank you very much. New subscriber, I look forward to following you.
Welcome :) Much more to come xD
Great video Dex
The Cormorant fit is perfect for low sec ratting! Thanks!
Thank you for the feedback, enjoy it and the ISK it gets you :)
@@daddex9222 Why do you use blasters instead of railguns? Rats can't hit you if you are 35 km away
Awesome, I love it as well - nicely done
Great video. I hope to learn a thing or two from you in Eve Online

Things are crazy in Seyllin right now, dread fleets v super carriers tonight lol.

Thanks, it's just a different kind of farming ;')
Pewing like a boss.

Hello, I love your videos! May I know how do you know which pirates deal which type of damage? It's so helpful to be able to know that
Can you do a vid on reliable Caldari ratting ships and PvP maybe not just for Alphas.
Me watching this as an Alpha in FW for a year,,,
how could you use your directional scanner looking for probes without probes of your own??
The directional Scanner doesn't need probes, It will display the same things as your overview, so you need to make sure probes are switched on in overview display settings. Probes are needed to scan down / locate things, so you can warp to them.
@@daddex9222 thanks dude, you rock!
Hi I couldnt find a Small Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer 1 anywhere. Is there an alternative? Cheers :)
It got renamed to 'Small Thermal Shield Reinforcer I' in a recent patch :)
Ah, I remember when I lived in seyllin... I'm getting back now but still a bit inactive hehe
Lol i resent that statement i use a labtop .It all good nice vid
My laptop was 2007 vintage :)
why not use rail guns on the commorant. Im running railguns on my Merlin rn and they put in decent work.

Loud intro music to barely being able to hear you. Something you could improve on.
This is the first Eve video I did, I hope I am getting better at it xD
@@daddex9222 Ah shit great run on your first attempt. I still watched the whole video 👌
no subtitiles -_-
