You’re an amazing teacher, and you’ve help improve my sound design and mixing skills immensely. Thank you so much for enabling me to create and express myself. Thank you Ahee!!!
That last tip you found was really dope but wouldnt the phasing be an issue when mixingdown the track? At points the sound completely out of phase lol please let me know! Ive been trying to learn more about phasing and how it applies and why its important but sometimes I see stuff like that tip and get confused since I thought sub information is supposed to be completely in phase?
Yo! Totally depends on context of song, I wouldn’t use an out of phase bass as my main sub on a drop, but maybe during intros or short fills if it sounds good. Also could layer w/ another mono sub. Cheers👽🤘
Hi, I finally managed to see one of your videos within ours from its release and not weeks after! I wanted to correct you on one thing: Yamaha, which *discovered* frequency modulation at the end of the ’70, tried not to patent, but trademark the technology like Moog did with their filter a decade prior. The court established they were not able to trademark the tech, for the reason you brought, by instead they actually patented it, that means that they could own the rights to the tech just for a limited amount of time (between 5 and 10 years, I don’t remember). Once the patent ceased, Roland and Korg, which have been doing the research behind closed doors, finally could release their frequency modulating synths. I take advantage of the moment to tell you how much I appreciate your videos. I’m very not into bass and riddim music, but your genuine passion for music, your knowledge and experience made me an avid follower. Plus, you’re an actual touting artists, there are not many on RUclips, in this niche! So, congrats and thanks for your awesome videos!
Bro, thanks to your tutorial on Skrillex and sine waves i've been digging a loooooooot about sine waves and old dubstep, i've made some thick 808s bass, or FMs, and it sounds clear and badass, thank for all your content brother
is it necessary to pull all those faces and move your hand around when you play the sounds? if so will there be an in depth tutorial describing in vivid detail which face to pull and or which hand gesture for which type of sound ? also an accurate step by step tutorial how to pull faces and use hand gestures would also be appreciated. thanks.
🥀🥀⛽️🎭⛽️🥀🥀 AHEE... Im trying to incorporate this. With the genre Bluegrass.. I feel like I'm getting somewhere.. for me at the moment it's all about manipulating the Bluegrass elements.. but with loops and samples.. experimenting with that formula.. for about 3 years.. now I'm digging deeper and experimenting with this in Midi.. I've got a few great Concepts haven't been able to put into practice yet.. But soon 🥀🤘🔥 So many blessings bro your sound designs are incredible..
Thank you for being an amazing inspiration and always putting out awesome chunes as well as informative tutorials that have allowed me to create my own music that beings tremendous joy to my life.
bro you are so cool for sharing your wisdom. question for your last one though. when im experimental sound designing and i'm going out of correlation in the phase meter what's the best way correct it? i've noticed boosting the mids in the mid/side can fix this but i'm not sure why or if it's deteriorating the sound.
Yo! Thank u! Sometimes going out of phase is ok, if it sounds good in song, but to control it Try using a mixture of the width knob in utility and mid/side eq to control levels each part independently. I have a rack called Stereo Control that does this in case you have it.
Please sidechain background noise to your voice and daw. Great tips, thank you!
This is probably the most intuitive serum video I've seen in a hot minute. Thank you for this!
I've never considered messing with the global stack until now, super enlightening stuff
