Hey, have you heard of Shadow Dancer by Neon Capital? I tried to figure out how to replicate the synth used for the chords on Serum, but no luck. Could you take a look at that track and show how to make something close to it?
The sound you get by rounding off your sawtooth is excellent, but the claim that digital sawtooth waves are sharper than analog is questionable. There are analog circuits that make pulse waves at GHz frequencies. If you tapped the VCOs on a Jupiter pre filter, how sharp would that sawtooth be? I have no idea!
so, not sure if you did anythin to the filter but theres a good chance this is likely still not gonna sound fully analog without an analog filter, infact, this is extremely likely since there were synthesizers in the 80s that had digital OSC but analog filters (the best combo) but not the other way around, (analog OSC but digital Filters) but i cannot tell easily if anything is going on with the filter that actually makes it sound analog, so please correct me if am wrong on that
